Aussie Paralympians Make Waves in Milano

She finished 15th in the Women's Giant Slalom Standing Event. Fellow Australian Debbie Tant Georgia Goney, the 23-year-old flag bearer, placed 11th in the Vision-impaired Giant Slalom alongside her. Guide Ethan Jackson France drew inspiration to ski from a Peppa Pig episode when she was just two years old, and after a serious accident in 2023, that changed her path, she joined the Paralympic team. Her family in hometown cheered her on with custom flags and parties, while her childhood idol washed from the stands. Goney is gearing up for a stronger showing in Saturday's Slalom, aiming to build on her solid start. Meanwhile, Australia has won medal so far, a silver and snowboard cross from four-time Paralympian Ben Tuthope. Tuthope races in the Bank Slalom Friday, due to weather shifts, joined by Captain Sean Pollard and Aaron McCarthy.
