Aurelia's Triumph: Gower School's First ISA Win

0:00On April 6, a year-five student named Aurelia Hargreese from the Gower School to top honors in the ISA School's public-speaking competition. She delivered a killer performance of Michael Rosen's comic poem, The Register at the Finals held at Cambridge University's Gonville and Kaya's College. This national event draws independent schools from all over the UK and Aurelia stood out among the best. Judges raved about her sharp humor, how she hooked the whole audience, her crystal clear diction, and the way she owned every inch of the stage. School principal Emma Gowers couldn't hold back her pride, calling it the school's first win-ever and a huge milestone. Aurelia is one of three pupils they sent in from the autumn term. Performing at Cambridge is a dream for any kid, and she owned it, setting a high bar for young speakers everywhere.
