Auburn Lands Transfer Big Man Freeman

0:00On April 20th, Auburn just beefed up their front court with a solid pick-up from the transfer portal. Creighton's Owen Freeman, a six-foot-ten big man with one season left, committed to the Tigers on Monday. He's their third edition of Front, joining Santa Clara's Bucky Oboye and French pro Narciss Agoi. Freeman made ways early at Iowa as Big Ten freshman of the year, back in the 2023-2024 season. He averaged 10.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game while anchoring the starting center spot. Injuries hit him hard after that, though, a broken finger limited him to just 19 games the next year at Iowa. Then this past summer, a knee issue from Pickleball in Illinois kept him out until late preseason at Creighton, where he logged only 11 point. Nine minutes over 26 games. Now Auburn's looking deep inside. They ran with zero true centers last season, but with Freeman in, and rising sophomore Sebastian Williams' atoms returning, they've got three or four.
