On March 17th Auburn football has kicked off spring practices under new head coach Alex Gilesh. The Tigers hit the field on March 17th at their performance center, starting a key off-season stretch that runs through April 18th. It all builds toward the big A-Day spring game to wrap things up. A few players sat out full contact due to lingering issues from last season. Offensive Lyman, Jacob Strand, Lymebacker, Demarca's Riddick, Safety Jack Literal and Tyden Jonathan Eccles wore non-contact gear. Meanwhile, Michigan State transfer offensive Lyman, Stanton Ramil, was nowhere to be seen during media viewing. Coach Gilesh stayed busy the whole time, jogging between drills and warm-ups to keep everyone sharp. Quarterback Byron Brown turned heads with his big wind up on throws, a style that's gotten results before. Center cold-best even practiced snaps holding the ball in his snapping hand, a fresh twist. Running back Jeremiah Cobb led early hand-offs while receivers Chaz Nimrod and Kishan Singleton got heavy slot reps.

Tyden Xavier Newsom, a big target from Howard, hauled in plenty from Brown. On defense, nose tackles like Dallas Walker IV and Jordan Crawford rotated in and cornerback Ray Sean Pleasant anchored the first group. Spring ball rolls on as Auburn sorts his depth chart and shakes off rest, setting the stage for a strong finish at A-Day. Made in A-I
