Reporting from the Daily News, now, I'm Corey, with the latest entertainment headlines. Country singer Ashley McBride opened up on the Bobby Caz podcast about a frightening night that pushed her towards sobriety. The 42-year-old Grammy winner woke up in another female artist's home after blacking out from heavy drinking, dressed in borrowed pajamas with. No clear memory of the evening, thirsty and confused, she wandered out to fine water and stumbled into the living room. Her set her entire team, along with the artists who had brought her there for safety after a wild outing. Her team immediately told her to stop drinking, and she knew they were right. The artist had taken her home that night to make sure she did not die, a reality that hit McBride hard. That close call convinced her to enter rehab, where the fear of losing her life kept her committed. She has stayed sober since around November 2023. McBride says, life has improved dramatically since then. Like the universe cleared a path she was blocking herself.

She waited a year to share publicly, doing it for her own recovery, not social media cheers or critics. Quick thanks to today's sponsor, see the description for more. If sleep podcasts are your thing, this is your pillow, built for comfort and calm, S-O-L-L-I, solely pillow.com.
