Creativity is an addiction. Unplugged because we will always say yes to creativity. Totally uncut because we all make mistakes. So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow Unplugged. Coming to the page, arriving with discipline, but rarely is the heart ever in the mood to release and receive. Although it is positive, I can see why so many people find no reason to use ink as a connection to communicate. It's not a fear of being read, but a huge wonder if the well will ever become dry. So many creative people rely on their dark times to feel their need to bring something to life. As a daily writer of 30 years, I'm not into that mental space with my heart. Clearing out the shadows and ghosts keeps the process locked on forward emotion. Which means what? When it feels like everything else has stopped around you. To which I ask, has it really stopped? Just because you're feeling blocked doesn't mean that you have no path to walk upon. It's also not a good reason to jump paths.
That's when confusion steps in and because it too isn't moving or producing like you want it to, the emotions are flooded with doubt. There's a reason why I turn to writing. It hits the core of the source of energy. Therefore, those inner voices are given the chance to speak. Hey, it's Arrow. This is the Daily Mass, a chronological walkthrough in every day world. I am a daily writer. I am the silent wolf. I sit on the sidelines and I watch. I listen. I observe in ways to where I can become the student and then the teacher. And we can grow every step forward by taking the time to be in the presence of what is right now. This is the Daily Mass. In the moments that it takes to evolve into the acceptable you. I'm going to say that one more time because it went by really fast and I wanted to hit you in a way where you're going to go, oh God. In the moments that it takes to evolve into the acceptable
you. What could you have been doing before getting to this place of accepting you? How do you prepare to be you? My dog, Jazzy, has this instant thing about waking up and getting the darn day started. The first thing that I do each morning is I write. There's no studio time until three pages are filled with words and thoughts. My main reason is to set up the mindset to clear out things that I held on to all night long because I know once I get inside that studio I'm going to have anywhere between three to seven interviews and then I have to post them on the podcast to be ready by accepting who it is that I am and how am I going to evolve into this person. When I hosted Morning Radio shows back in the 1990s I arrived at the studios every day at 4 a.m. just so I could prep and get pumped up on coffee. Now today when I prep for these interviews I do them three to five days in advance to have total control of accepting who it is that I need
to become. But in your moments of building today's you, what could you have done while you were gaining access to the acceptable you? Do you suddenly become? Do you instantly switch tracks if things aren't playing out the way you want them to? Or do you sit around complaining? That's a punch in the gut isn't it? How do you react? When things are not going the way that you want it to? How do you find that place where it's the acceptable you? I've sat down with so many different creative people and the majority of them we all agree on one thing. The acceptable you has got to be liked by you. Now could that be one of the starting points for you? Do you like yourself? I'm not asking you in a conceited or overconfident way. Do you like yourself? What is the acceptable you and the acceptable you? What does it expect from the outside you? It's a growing process
that takes time but when you start noticing how your mind, body and soul do have this harmony and it can be reached at any time of the day then you learn to accept you quicker and more often. I'm Errol and that's the Daily Mass.
