Creativity is an addiction. Unplugged because we will always say yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes. So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow Unplugged. I spoke with Thomas Tarantino yesterday. He and his wife Barbara have traveled all over the world, not to stand next to the highest peaks in the most beautiful waterways. No. Thomas and Barbara, were and still are on a huge quest to meet people. Barbara is 92 years old and Thomas with pride in his hand explained to me she's still my girlfriend. All of their greetings and meets are now printed in a brand new book called Looking for Legends. The book is quite inspiring because the people they write about are totally unknown to the world but highly respected in their communities. Most of us get our bio information from tiny little paragraphs on social media but how much of that is reality. A journey to meet people. Thomas said his biggest wish is to one day visit
Tim Buck too in Malai but doesn't think that's gonna happen in the reason why it's because it's been overtaken by a terrorist group. Thomas did ask a very serious question that really caught me off guard. Would you rather dream or have memories? I thought about it for a moment and I said I would love to have the memories to which he quickly came back with. Memories can't be made unless you dream about it first. Thomas, Thomas, Thomas. Hey, it's Arrow. This is The Daily Mass, a chronological walk through an everyday world. I am a daily writer. I'm a silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines, the edge of the forest and I observe. I listen, I study. I participate with and it creates conversation so that you can meet people just like Thomas. This is The Daily Mass. With so much wonder and worry in the world right now, how are you dealing with it? Where do you go to locate your calm? Does it come in a shape?
Something that you taste? What is your worry and wonder smell like? So many decisions that involve us are being made by people who don't even know us. For some, the pressure and anxiety are keeping them from being loyal. The feeling of being unstable has become acceptable. The big gap in the generations isn't the numbers, but rather the ambition to work less or just call in with daily reasons for not showing up. I have talked with so many company leaders about this type of behavior only to hear them say they'll wake up when it hits their paycheck. Is that really the answer? They'll wake up when it hits their paycheck, but it's not happening. The next step is for them to get a new job. They just go and get another one. Loyalty again takes another hit. Prices are so high in this country because the minimum wage is high. We have to pay for them to be at work. People want
more money. I get it. But when you're consumed on getting a higher wage, again, loyalty is hit. And the rest of us, we suffer because we've got more work to do. A lot of people come into your place of business, but there's not a full staff to keep you 100% engaged with those buying your product. So much wonder. So much worry. What does yours look like? How do you find your calm? What shape is it? Does it taste funny? Yeah, you're wonder and you're worry. And what does it smell like? I do wonder about that all the time. When our anxiety level goes up, what do our hormones do? Is there a strange scent? And is that the reason why people don't come near you? They don't just see your anxiety is at a whack. They smell it. Finding your calm. Maybe we should practice something
that Thomas and Barbara did. Go out and meet new people. Listen to their stories. Walk with life and not against life. I'm Arrow and that's The Daily Mass.
