Armed Suspect Sought in Anchorage Murder

Anchorage Police is searching for a 61-year-old man charged with first-degree murder after a fatal shooting in the airport heights. Neighborhood Saturday Morning. Officers found a man dead from gunshot wounds on the 2800 block of Aldous Street. The trouble started earlier when the Suspect's ex-wife called 911 just after 9.30 a.m. She said he tried to shoot her outside her. Midtown business then fled in a silver Nissan Altima with Alaska plates LKR-968. Worried for her family member's safety at the Aldous Street home, she alerted police who arrived to discover the victim inside. Traffic cameras caught the vehicle nearby right around 9.39 a.m. matching reports of gunshots. Becker also faces a third-degree assault charge with an arrest warrant issued that day. Officials describe him as armed and dangerous. Police urge anyone spotting him to call 911 and not approach. The search continues with no further updates as of Sunday morning.
