0:00It's March 12th, here's your Durham news in two minutes. A 57-year-old Sanford man faces charges in an armed robbery and kidnapping case. Nicholas Devin Quick was arrested on March 10th by Lee County Sheriff's Deputies after a violent home invasion. The trouble began the day before, with a report of threats in the Lemon Springs neighborhood. Deputies headed to a house on Lemon Springs Road to check it out. Residents describe how Quick burst in holding a knife and a roll of tape threatening violence. He made off with cash and a firearm from the home before running away. Assistance from the State Highway Patrol and an FBI task force helped track him down miles from the scene. They took him into custody peacefully. Quick now faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping, and firearm possession by a convicted felon. He's locked up with Al Bond.
