Are We About to WIN in Iran? | Guest: Rep. Michael Cloud | 3/9/26

About this episode

Steve and the crew discuss the weekend's developments in Iran and whether it seems like coalition forces are closer to victory after one week of fighting. Then, Bob Vander Plaats returns to the program to discuss the emergence of Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico and why he represents such a subversive force. In Hour Two, Rep. Michael Cloud (R-Texas) joins the show to discuss his smackdown of a woke "pastor" on the floor of the U.S. House. Finally, the crew reacts to a post from commentator Megan Basham about an interaction she had with a Trump voter. Live and on demand on Blaze TV, radio and podcast alongside Todderson and Aaron McIntyre. I'm Steve Day.

So we'll be at a great weekend. We're brought to you by our friends over at pre-born, who are very grateful for how generous you have been to them. You guys here at the Blaze with this partnership at hand and helping them save tens of thousands of babies since this partnership began about four years ago. And we want to keep it alive right now. This March pre-born is hoping and believing to save 6,800 babies from their mom and maybe 6,800 souls of moms as well. Because we've all witnessed for ourselves here in the political world what happens when women succumbed to the temptation and murdered their own children and the searing of the conscience and the hardening of the heart that goes along with that. And you'll just turn around and vote for complete and total destruction of America in order to have that affirmed. Here's the thing though, to hit that number, it's going to take a hundred and 24 partners saying yes, every single day. And you can say yes, for as little as 28 bucks, that's all that one ultrasound will cost. Now you can give more because they do a lot more at pre-born there there for the mom for up to two years after the baby's born. It's not just hey, thanks for choosing life.

We're going to dip. They are there now to make sure this new family gets started off on the right foot. So get started today, you know, for $140, you can save five babies and help five mothers, all right? Every dollar goes to the saving of babies. That's why it's a five star rated charity. And it's a tax deductible donation today at preborn.com slash Steve. Again, that's preborn.com slash Steve. All right, coming up on today's show, the return of our good friend, Bob Vanderplace at the bottom of the hour. And while he was down in Marco Island, he kept a keen eye on the emergence these last few weeks of James, Taloriko and his now willingness to use a Senate campaign as a, as a vehicle, not to essentially apply politics via his apostasy, but to actually evangelize his apostasy. And what that means maybe for the church moving forward. What's that mean for those churches that said? Well, you know, we're, we're Bible based here. We love Jesus, but we're not political.

So we're not going to get involved. What happens when the enemy then moves, you know, his piece is on the check on the chessboard and says, I think I got checkmate then. Why don't we just go ahead and just run the apostates for public office. Then you'll never challenge him, right? We'll get into that with Bob coming up in the next segment of the show. Next hour, we told you about congressman Michael Cloud last week. He had the brilliant deconstruction of the, quote, female pastor. End quote. In the halls of congress, he's going to join us next hour on the show. Talk about that exchange. Why he's working right now on the digital currency issue. By the way, if you've not seen this, I'm sure this is not great marketing, but who cares? I spend a good deal of time over the weekend watching the father, Ripperger interview with Sean Ryan and wow. I mean, that, that, that thing packed a wallop. They got quite a bit and the whole thing is about the demonic realm, how it works, how it doesn't work.

And they got quite a bit, by the way, into the digital currency issue. And about how that's actually the perfect setup for a future antichristical kingdom, is antichristical or what? Is it? Okay. Well, it is now, even if it's not. So I would recommend that. Although, listen, grab a snickers. It's four hours. Okay. You're not going anywhere for a while. All right. But we're going to talk to Congressman Cloud about that. And then our good friend Megan Basham put out a message over the weekend. It's anecdotal in nature. But I think that it is something to be concerned about because I've witnessed some of this myself. And we've been talking about, you know, the, the Rogan Vaughan Shultz bro dude vote that helped us, you know, get over the hump in this last election. It's like completely off the reservation now. Well, Megan ran into the chick version of this. And so with the final segment of the show today, we're going to discuss her experience and how concerned about it we should be. But before we get to all of that, of course, let's begin.

With Aaron's rundown of what happened while we were away. What happened while we were away brought you by Apocalypse to Iran. On Israeli airstrikes on more than 30 oil depots in and around Iran, Iran over the weekend, left the country's largest city covered in thick black smoke. And overnight, illuminated by Doomsday scenes as petroleum products allegedly flooded in the city's drainage and sewage systems, sparking fires, which continue to burn overnight Saturday and the Sunday. Iran claims one of their desalination plants was struck over the weekend. Though evidence for that is shaky. Various commentators and news outlets along with Iran's Ford Ministry have hinted that the United Arab Emirates is responsible for that strike if it happened. But the UAE has not taken responsibility. President Trump was asked about the latter strike on Saturday. Here among the most evil people ever heard of, they cut babies heads off. They chopped women in half when they did take a look at October 7. Take a look at what they've done over the last 47 years. So I know nothing about a desalination plant, other than to say,

if they're complaining about a desalination plant, we complain about the fact that they shouldn't be chopping babies heads off. The 7th U.S. service member killed in the Iran conflict has been identified as 26-year-old Sergeant Benjamin Pennington of Kentucky. He was serving in Saudi Arabia when he sustained life-threatening injuries and was being transported to Germany for treatment when he tragically succumbed to those injuries. President Trump also continues to signal the war will only be over after the unconditional surrender of regime forces who named their new Supreme Leader Mochitaba Committee, son of the Slane Supreme Leader Ali Kamani, who, as it's been widely reported, did not wish to have his son succeed him when he died. We've not seen Mochitaba Kamani in public, and it's been also widely reported that, along with his father, that his mother, wife and son also perished in the early days of the campaign by Israeli air strikes. President Trump has previously said that the selection of the younger Kamani would be unacceptable, infighting as begun in the Iranian ruling structure with the country's president apologizing to neighboring country Saturday for some of Iran's attacks.

Later in the day, IRGC leadership came out and basically laid the smackdown telling the president to shut up. Meanwhile, oil prices shot up late last week and early Sunday trading into Monday with WTI crude peaking at $116 a barrel before relenting later this morning on news G7 nations are mulling the release of hundreds of millions of barrels of oil from strategic reserves. Amidst all this perceived chaos, however, China is still signaling. They're looking forward to hosting President Trump later this month in Beijing, which says a lot. Back at home, former J6er Jake Lang, organized an anti-Islam protest outside the mayor's residence in New York City. Two young men from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, arrived and ignited what authorities later confirmed was an improvised explosive device. The device failed to detonate. Police say the suspect's a high schooler by the name of Amir Balat in a 19-year-old by the name of Ibrahim Qayumi traveled from their homes into swanky area of Bucks County, Pennsylvania to New York City ahead of the incident, and it's being investigated as an act of terrorism. Also in New York City, new FBI documents revealed a prison guard working the night of Jeffrey

Epstein's death in the Metropolitan Correctional Facility googled inquiries about the sex predator less than an hour before his body was found and had suspicious deposits into her account flagged by authorities in the months leading up to that fateful night. Nothing to see here, and that's what happened while we were away. Aaron's montage brought to you by our friends over at chirp. If you want to get active and stay active, particularly as we get older, it is vitally important that you take preventative health seriously and they've got the devices to help you do that over at chirp, whether it's foam rollers and trigger point rollers and you absolutely want to be using those on a regular basis. Take my word for it on that. It's a big part of my daily regimen. Whether it's the chirp contour, it's the decompression massage table that provides professional grade relief all from the comfort of your own home. Maybe it's the rolling power mini-massager. I take that with me when I go on the road. That thing is a life saver as well. Almost every one of their products is FSA or HSA eligible making relief more affordable and accessible than ever

before with these doctor trusted FDA-cleared devices. Take advantage of the day, go check out their full menu of options when you go to gochirp.com slash Steve, CHIRP, gochirp.com, like the British chirp, and you're seeing this time of year now with spring beckoning. Gochirp.com slash Steve, again, that's gochirp.com slash Steve. All right. In response to Aaron's montage, how about I thought I kind of had three questions in mind. Just for us to sit down here together, the three of us put our three single digit IQs together and you come up with a triple digit IQ, that's how it works, right? We're going to find out. We're going to find out. Okay. And see what happens if we come now and reason together over these questions. Okay. Let's start back to front. That Epstein security guard story. Can I frame? Come on, man, as a question.

I mean, what do you even say to this? I mean, this is, I mean, what's tomorrow's headline? And she Googled how to how to get Jeffrey Epstein to suicide himself. I mean, is that she left it in her history and forgot to delete her browser history? I mean, what is this? And it's not, it's new news to us, but it's not new news to all the people who have been doing their various version of Epstein Feng Shui and just rearranging deck chairs like that. How do you, how did you expect this not to come out sooner or later if you're one of the ones running the narrative that this is just all the distraction? Just to make sure everybody catches what Aaron just said. Let me, let me sum it up for you. Okay. The prison guard who lied with authorities about checking on Epstein also just happened to coincidentally make a series of deposits

in the weeks leading up to his death. As one does, they were so suspicious that the bank independently reported them to the police. That same prison guard was also searching for news about Epstein in the moments before his death. And then she was independently named by inmates who claimed that she was involved in covering up the killing. And this of course follows all the other stories about how the cameras malfunctioned that very night. So we don't have any really good security footage while this was all happening. Was it, was it the, I think it was, the CBS had the Barry White said that CBS had the story about two weeks ago that the rope that's on the report was not even what was actually used to hang him. Okay. According to the inspector general investigation. I mean, where's this news coming out of? Who's reporting this? I wasn't the New York Post that reported it. I thought it wasn't. Yeah. Yeah. But I see this is Pam Bondy. Instead of those stupid

binders, she could have handed out one page with just this information. And that would have been like, whoa, that's, we, and how long ago was that? About a year ago, almost a year ago at this time, almost exactly a year. She could have just reported this last March. And that would have been infinitely better than we've got for a month upon month upon month upon month. She doesn't know this. She didn't know that then. The only thing I think we're, we are watching with the Epstein story, a live reenactment of the dark night rises. And a lot of us, there's a growing number of us on the right who are increasingly concerned about the amount of retardation we are seeing happening on our side. Where we've gone from question everything to no nothing, you see what I'm saying?

Like nothing can be true. Everything that could be true, where we now are just deconstructionist incarnate. We're just, everything, we're gone from question everything to no nothing. There can be no truth. We can't know anything. And if you are confident that you have discovered something to be true, you're, you're, you're just a mark, you're a lemming, you're a shield, right? That's at least that's, that's kind of what's become of much of the culture of the online right for sure. I doubt that's filtered down to a lot of your water tables. If you're not, you know, in these, you know, on the, on our side on social media, but this is, this is a fairly decent description of much of the online right these days, what I just said. So from question everything to no nothing, okay? So we've gone from skepticism to nostics, basically. We can't know. But you have to understand it is, it is the noble lie that sets the stage for this bane-like instinct or character in the case of the movie, to emerge.

And I just think it's very clear that portions of, of the administration believe that the cost of knowing the reality of Jeffrey Epstein is too high. And therefore, it's okay to tell a noble lie here, because the guy's already dead. Nothing can be done about it. And therefore, the juice is not worth a squeeze. I think that's, I think that that's pretty obvious now at this point that that's true. Except he didn't die accidentally. Correct. He was purposely killed so they could tell this stupid story. But then that happened during Trump's first term. So the cost of going back and retconning that. See, here's the thing. Most of the liability for what Epstein was doing all those years is on their side. Most of the liability for what happened to Epstein is on our side. See what I'm trying to say here. And so therefore, there is a liability to getting to the truth of this on every single

side. Epstein was unalived on Trump's watch. That was in Trump's first term. Well, there's a lot more liability now than there would have been if they, if they did what I said months ago and just handed out this piece of paper that said this then. Well, of course, so they turned it now to, and again, we don't know the fullness of the truth. So we can't, we, the three of us cannot sit here and say there is no amount of disclosure of the realities of how deep this rabbit hole goes that, that we can say for sure. I'd like to be able to say that, but we can't say for sure that there's no amount of how deep the rabbit hole with Epstein goes that we wouldn't eventually ourselves say, okay, that's just, that's just too far down the route. I'd like to think there's not, but we can't, we don't know that for sure, right? We don't know for sure. Okay, okay, there's, there's, we at least have to leave open the possibility there is a depth of how, how far down this one goes that even the three of us would be like, okay, I just maybe put that in a vault and tell that story like 50 years from now. I, I, we can't say for sure. I'd like to think there's not, but a place where we would say that, but I, I can't say that

for sure. Can you say that for sure? For sure for sure? I can't say it for sure. I mean, particularly if you buy into the theories of intelligence assets and all these various things, then I think you definitely can't say that for sure, right? I mean, we definitely can't say that for sure. But I, but I do think what we can say for sure is there's now enough liability on, on both sides of the political aisle now in terms of Epstein's fate on our side, much of Epstein's associations and networking that occurred for many of those years with the backing of most people on their side that this is kind of now just become like the COVID vaccine where there's just, there's not, there's no way to tell the truth about this that someone's pants doesn't get pulled down that everybody likes on every side. And so we're just going to act like mistakes were made. We're going to move on. And you know, sorry about that whole thing. Every reaction is basically like another booster. Let's hope it works this time. And it just poisoned us further. Yeah, I think that's a very good analogy. But, but moving forward to the

future. And if you want to run this party in the future, and if you want to, if you want to be a leader on our side in the future, you're going to have to wrestle with this bane like dynamic that is emerging on our side. And, and you're going to have to figure out how to corral it. You're going to have to figure out how to deal with it. You're probably not going to have as strong of a personality as Trump to just kind of reign it in. But you can see now that with the whole Trump Tucker thing that that now has even exceeded Trump's ability to, to keep people coloring inside the lines to the point that Trump essentially excommunicated Tucker over the weekend, frankly. Now, of course, you're never permanently excommunicated in a Trump world. All right. But for now, all right, Tucker is outside of grace in, in, in Mago world, according to the king, right? But in the future, this dynamic is going to get harder to deal with. It's going to get harder to corral. It's going to get harder to discipline. The more you feed it by not giving it real answers

on things that matter to people. All right. Let's get to the Iran war. Okay. Just a general question. How are we feeling one weekend? Either one of you. I think I'm feeling that there is a plan when, when Donald Trump says the messaging on the plane, like I don't know about desalination plant, but I, you know, know cutting baby's heads off and cutting women in half is evil. And you put that next to the optics of Donald, you know, Donald Trump likes oil. If he's blowing up some oil based on some of his messaging, messaging in the past about the Middle East and, and, and peace, I think Donald Trump is very certain about what he wants to accomplish here. And that's as important as anything,

because when Donald Trump is just kind of out there in the breeze and being the weather, whether it's domestically, which has mostly been the case domestically. But if that starts going off into foreign entanglements, because he's just kind of given up on the domestic end, then we're going to be in big trouble in a lot of ways beyond the midterms. So I think the key tell for how this is going is what unfolded. And I mentioned in passing in the montage, Iran's president, projection came out. It was unclear which neighboring countries he was apologizing for striking, but he also said those will, you know, we'll, we'll stop striking you. And then the IRGC, along with the Speaker of Parliament in Iran, came out and said, shut up. We look weak and launched launch 20 Turkey this morning and launched and kept kept launching attacks at other other countries, including Turkey, a NATO member. So we are simultaneously, I think, in this position where you're starting to see some fissures, but that also means we could

be entering a period of escalation is particularly if they launch a successful strike against Turkey. I think it's far more likely from what I've seen that Azerbaijan might get involved. And yes, there are tiny country, but they've also been hardened by war in recent years as well. So that's that's not a joke of a force that they have if they start lobbying at Turkey, Turkey might just respond opportunistically as sensing weakness if they want to expand their territory as well. So we're simultaneously starting to see some of the fissures that we want while also at the same time, this risks escalation also reported this morning that there are tankers moving through the straits of the state of war movies. So there's that. I also don't believe that Motaba Kamani is alive. I don't know. He's at least incapacitated. We haven't seen him. All of his family was killed in that initial strike. It's entirely possible. I wouldn't put it past the IRGC to appoints or name a new supreme leader who is dead. So that coalition forces start

chasing ghosts. What do we think about hitting? Let's assume, well, it's assumed our side hit the oil reserves, whether it was the UAE who did it or the Israeli's who did it. But that would be part of the coalition in either case. On my phone over the weekend, there was certainly some division about whether with people I know whether this is a tactic we want to be doing. Let's blow up the potential market economy of food, whatever of the people that we would want to be able to take over Iran if we toppled this regime and could stabilize it. On the other hand, obviously, the regime is using that oil to fund its own efforts at the exact same time. There was division within my circle of people that I know over this decision. What do you guys think? I saw that online and people were talking about how sky-high oil prices are going to go. But like I just got done saying, this actually, to me, was a sign that we are serious about being there is nothing. There's no button, we're on plus. We can do this easy way or the hard way.

And so now, is there a guaranteed outcome? No, I won't be polyanish. But the fact that Donald Trump will do this means he's fully invested in my estimation. Yeah, my initial inclination was, well, if you want regime change, if you want the people to rise up, what resources are they going to have after this? If you start blowing up their oil yet at the same time, if you want regime change, you have to signal to the Iranian regime will blow everything up. We'll just blow everything up. There's nothing you can do about it. Do you guys get the sense? We just had news that the seventh service member, casualty just a few minutes ago. And in fact, you make sure we honor him with his name because I shared that news on my ex-cat right before we went on the air. 26 year old staff sergeant Benjamin Pennington of Kentucky is the seventh known casualty we've had in Operation Epic Fury. Does it feel like for the most part, most of the country has already moved on? You mean just not hanging on pins and needles about this is going on, but yeah,

but that's most of the country more and more about just about anything. Don't disagree. I don't disagree. Aaron, do you get that perception as well? That the country has kind of moved on. Kind of moved on a little bit. And it feels as if the only things that would make it return focus are that kinds of news we don't want to see, right? Yes. An escalation in the amount of caskets with American flags draped over them returning home. An escalation in sleep in sleeper cell activations. I mean yesterday we had the Kansas City airport shut down for how many hours was that shut down yesterday? Okay. An escalation in domestic terror at home. Or if yes, it's suddenly like eight dollars a gallon or something. Yeah. What does that mean then? All right, since we all agree that that appears to be the dynamic. Right now there are people expending a lot of political capital online on our side over this war. And it's not even really about the war. I mean,

there are all kinds of rationals and reasons that you could express skepticism about this without really talking about Jews or anti-Semitic tropes whatsoever. Here's a few, for example, how's our overall record of prolonged engagements going back to, you know, Beirut 1983? How's our overall record of prolonged engagements in the Middle East as a country been? How's that gone? It's sketchy. It's sketchy. That's kind of sketch, right? As the kids say today. Okay. We have a myriad of issues here at home that must be confronted. Yes. Okay. There's that. All right. So I mean, there are numerous things that you could discuss. Hey, what do we have a clear line of success? Right now, we're not even sure who's running Iran right now. Right? We're not even sure who's, as Aaron just pointed out, we're not even sure who's running Iran right now within the regime, let alone who's going to run it after the regime were to be toppled. Right? Okay. And again, you guys can send me all the notes about the shaw you want. You guys always send me a bunch of notes when I bring that up. Okay. There's there's over a hundred thousand,

well, at least hopefully we've killed a lot of them. But going into this conflict, there was over a hundred thousand armed members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the ground in Iran, right? They're going to have some say so unless they are severely incapacitated or diminished as a fighting unit, they're going to have some say so on who the next leader of Iran is, right? Yeah. Okay. So that that's also a truth and a fact, right? So those are rationales and reasons that are you could be saying this is not a good expenditure of our political capital. Why are we doing this? But the fact that everything I just said, how often are those arguments used by the the lattice voices against this war on our side compared to just belaboring and perpetuating anti-Semitic tropes? What would you say the ratio is? It's a bad one. It's a very, it's like and we're well in the negative integers, Aaron, wouldn't you say? I would say so. Yeah. So what does that tell you about really what the heart of the of their of their dissent really is then? See what I'm trying to say? Yeah. Because because there are options you could have to make arguments

that doesn't cause you to reveal your heart has been blackened by anti-Semitism. And yet they're just choosing to buy plan. They're they've James Talleriko themselves. They're just choosing to bypass any of those efforts and just want you to know they're really just here to buy it to to evangelize and proselytize anti-Semitism and anti-Semitism and this war is just a means to that end. It's not really that they have issues with the war for many of these people but they really just want us they just hate Israel and Jews. Yeah. That's a problem. Yeah. It's a major problem and it's a major problem moving forward. And I have a general rule if if if I and I've been I've been not I've either I've been community noted. I think I've counted three times twice. No twice so far. I've been community noted. But there have been like five things that I've shared since the since Elon put that in that have then been community noted. My policy with the first I keep track of this stuff because I want to tell you the truth as best as I understand it. We've got enough bias with my own worldview. I want

to make sure that my facts are at least objectively true. And my policy is I will immediately delete something if it's community noted. Okay. I broke that policy this weekend because of these comments the Tucker made about what unconditional surrender is. And I think it's because the the post that I shared has a description that's a little more aggressive than the actual video. But if you watch the video itself Tucker clearly does say in the video which I did. I mean I obviously did that before I commented on it. Tucker does clearly say in the video let's just be honest basically anybody that's for unconditional surrender means that what they're really saying is you know they can rape your women and stuff like that if they want to do that. He does not say wants American soldiers to rape women. But he's essentially saying unconditional surrender goes along with that. Not on how much history you guys know unconditional surrender is where the terms that we gave Germany and Japan in World War II. Did we have just mass rapings of of German and Japanese women by American soldiers as a result of demanding unconditional surrender. You did not.

Why why would you I'm asking why would you make points like that when there are other clear headed more rational points you could make without having to succumb to saying things like that. We just established this right there are some legitimate reasons to be skeptical of what we're doing right now and how it's going to turn out. We don't know what a line of succession is. Our record a record in that part of the region going back 40 years is beyond checkered and spotted or spotted right and we have a myriad of problems here at home. You can just keep focusing on those things over and over again as opposed to here's this secret cabal of Jews that really want to rebuild the temple and that's what this is really all about and hey I guess you know unconditional surrender means we just let our soldiers do whatever they want to people including raping women if that's what the you know that's what that's what why would you do that. Especially when you're somebody as smart as Tucker as disciplined as Tucker as we've seen him in the past you know that he doesn't you this is not Candace Owens this is not a retard this is somebody very smart and wise and so when somebody very smart and wise is willing is able and capable

of succumbing to this level of retardation and darkness I think you have to ask what's going on there is that fair completely more in a moment. Hey have you been waiting for a reason to stop playing at safe with your faith conduit clothing is that reason we talk a lot about courage on this show will courage begins with obedience and conduit clothing exists for one reason to push Christians out of their comfort zone and into action their mission is simple let's go witness to at least one person one conversation one soul they're not some big conversation or big corporation right now the owner is fulfilling your orders out of his garage our goal is to blow him out of the water so that he has to hire more people and

become one of those kinds of corporations all right there's even a code that you can receive a free hardcover ESV Bible to give away I he'll even cover the shipping to there's 500 of those sitting in his garage right now and it's it's really cool gear I've got one of their hoodies Aaron you've seen weird on the show a few times all right so faith before profits mission before money go to conduit clothing dot com conduit C O N D U I T is how that spelled conduit clothing dot com use the code Steve for free shipping conduit clothing dot com code Steve and we welcome back our good friend Bob of interplates good to see you brother how you been good to see you I'm glad you guys are still doing a program didn't know if it continued on or not although well we're all day-to-day we are we are all day-to-day we are yes well you're coming back just in time because it's spring around here right now going to get cooler again this weekend but it's really nice it's really nice it looks like a couple of bike riding days are in my future well also in your future is campaigns now are our evangelistic crusades and not just about issues

any longer in fact we've been talking a lot about this as in regards to the text the senate race in james talorico here's one of the latest clips of him that has gone viral over the weekend something that you love that's not family or friends I love I'm just saying this because it's on my mind the trans children who showed up yesterday at the state capital to advocate for their humanity they shouldn't have to but it was an inspiration to watch so talorico was an absolute nobody knew him state senator about 60 days ago and and jasmine crock at the Texas congresswoman private school girl well to do background and upbringing I mean she traded that all in for the oldest political grift of the last era which is racial identity when full cherry girl bob got the fake eyelashes the long fingernails went full ghetto drama queen trash panda all right using

language she certainly didn't graduate from that private school in st. Louis you know utilizing sure okay just didn't use it exactly all right traded that all in and normally we have seen on the left we've seen white straight white males do not beat people of minorities and contested primaries on the right we've seen we've been we're willing to elevate anybody despite know how double digit IQ did they meet they might be if you're non white and you're willing to say right wing things in a in on a screen there's millions to be made right I mean whether it's the perpetuation of the racial grift on the left or our defensive response to it on the right this has been the the most it's ironic I mean we just buried Jesse Jackson last week he's the originator of all this I mean this is this has been this is the most profitable political grift of this era has been racial identity politics right yes and yet James talorico came out of nowhere because of two media appearances Joe Rogan and then Stephen Colbert and those two appearances added nowhere were like

a siren song to democrats in texas and they said hey listen jasmine back at the bus to you because James is is the OG of what we're really after here the opportunity to apostasy christianity because it's the last bull work against us to completely taking over this country and he's good a provided for us and that's how we wrote that all the way to a senate primary I know you've been watching this the month that you were away with great interest your thoughts well first of all nothing new under the sun right but what we did is we found a trump card no pun intended but the trump card is hey if I can distort christianity and the truth thereof you know I've got I've got a place in in this system and it elevates me above the jasmine crockets of the world of saying listen nobody in this country really knows what they believe anyhow but the christian right has had a foothold they've had a foothold and they've they're the ones who are responsible for nominating and electing people like Ted Cruz nominating and electing people like Donald J trump

and now it's our turn to say hey we're going to give you a different gospel we're going to give you something that sounds better to your ears and now you coming to like me and that's what the left wants to do Satan's always wanted to shut the word of God now he's using politicians as vehicles to make that happen so for example in the clip that Aaron just played about tell me something on your heart it's these trans kids who come to austin to the state capital in Texas and they're on my heart and I want everybody of course you love them but do you love them enough to tell them the truth that God created them male and female and he didn't make a mistake and God created you just who you are he loves you for who you are he has a purpose how he created you for who you are you do not have to transition to try to find some new purpose or some new found hope and joy you can stay within your own body and do that

but he's not open to tell the truth and so I listen to him on Stephen Colbert and listen to him other interviews the thing it is he's great at hijacking high jacking scripture without giving contacts to scripture so one of the things that we're seeing on our side right now is there are some people that have become so anti-Semitic and or anti-Israel that they almost have to hope operation epic fury fails that america loses to reinforce their narrative because if that doesn't happen that narrative kind of blows up in their face and and all they're really left with is oh you're just anti-Semites right because we have a we have a proof of concept if it works it may not work I mean we're we're all going to find out okay but similarly I know there's been a few churches over the years that have said to organizations like yours appreciate you what you're doing but we don't get involved in the political arena here right okay we're keeping you at a 10 foot correct we're not we're not talking about apostate churches like taleriko speaking to

in front of 30 boomers okay you know who think you know eating off styrofoam brings them closer to Jesus because they recycle these are good churches these are good churches that the ones taleriko is talking to draw basically flies sure these are these are a lot of the mega church kind of churches in your community right okay we don't want to be divisive right all right so in some respects just like that element on the online right I just mentioned that are kind of so boxing themselves in that they now need to hope that this operation against a run as a failure so they can say see we told you so Israel's bad right those churches now have they not boxed themselves in box well because now here the enemy saying okay well cool all right let's see rook to king four all right checkmate we'll just run apostates for office then you guys will never say anything you'll never bring it up you'll never do apologetics you'll never contend for the faith like Jude says you'll never you'll never define first things fundamentals you'll not do any of that because those are divisive now they're politicized now so we're just going to hope we're not going to we're not going to have apostates run on their politics they're going to run on their apostasy they're

going to make their apostasy the basis for their candidacy these are proselytizing evangelistic efforts masquerading as political campaigns right and so we're just going to have the apostates run for office and you guys will just totally back off then and never confront error whatsoever because you don't want to be seen as divisive right divisive so let me answer a question a couple different ways first fall about the anti-Semites and those who are against Israel they have box themselves into a corner that's why they have to believe that Trump and Netanyahu and epic fury and hate Seth and everybody else Marco Rubio that that all fails if if it doesn't fail they were seeing the listen all that was was for for clickbait for other things to get social media to get you more attention all that was but you are definitely casting a world view here that's about right out to fall on itself for the churches that you and I are talking about I don't know if they're boxing themselves into a corner but I I would see it more as a time for choosing are you going to allow a guy like James help me out Telleriko telleriko I'm still learning

his name that James telleriko's got the mic and he's given a version of scripture that you know to be disastrously and deceptively wrong what say you when he says God never spoke about the sanctity of human life I think all you have to do is go back to Psalm 139 and say he knitted you together in your mother's womb he ordained each and every day before one of them came to be Jesus never talked about the institution of marriage remember him saying that this was this Telleriko guy Jesus never talked about the institution of marriage and yet in Matthew 19 I believe it's like in verse 4 where it begins is Jesus calls out the Daha of the day and the Daha of the day said God created them male and female and whatever he joins together no one should put a Sunday that sounds to me like Jesus talks about the institution of marriage being male and female and that should never be separated no divorce no no no judge no whatever should put that a

Sunday or redefine it so the fact is we talk about all the time that these politicians and especially people hold office that in fact they are ministers of God if you believe government to be an institution of God then those who hold office within it they are ministers of God well what they're finding out is that Donald Trump if he's a minister of God he has the biggest bully pulpit on the planet he's got the biggest church audience of the planet Telleriko's got a huge church audience right now just not in Texas but increasingly I think you'll read Beto raised $80 million in 2018 against Ted Cruz I think Telleriko's going to do better than that so telleriko's got this huge microphone so we'll let motivate and we'll let I mean not just uh major churches in the state of Texas but other churches across the country and a lot of those donations are going to come from across the country we stand on God's word do not distort the word of God now do we love trans kids of course we love trans kids we love kids I love trans kids except there aren't any trans kids there aren't any

there's only men in women if you're if you're struggling with sexual identity of course I love you but I love you enough to tell you the truth do I love the institution of marriage the way God has designed it of course I love it but again I love it enough to tell the truth about what it is and what it isn't and all of us fall short when it comes to the institution of marriage or trying to hold up the gold standard to anything but at least we should be reminded of what is true and who is God and who isn't and we should all try to aspire to his principles and his precepts not mold the God into what we want him so what would you recommend those churches then you said they've got a choice then they have to make what would you recommend that they do you know what will we say they've conditioned their their audiences for how many decades now that they're not going to address any of these kinds of things in a political construct there okay can they stand up there and say listen we're not telling you how to vote but there's some things here you guys need to understand that are being said in this campaign that are just that this is not Christian orthodoxy and I wouldn't be doing my job as a pastor if I don't tell you that which of

course then begs one of two questions as a follow up a why haven't you done this a long time ago number two um you know um how's your audience prepared to receive this because you didn't do this all this time I would say a couple things the one is that we've been consistent we we've told churches for a long time we do not need you to be political but what we do need you to do is be biblical and to be culturally relevant and culturally relevant is that when a court redefines institutional marriage you should be able to speak into that so your flock knows what is marriage and what isn't marriage and a court doesn't have the right to redefine it or basically to redefine it only God has that right and in this case if you have a guy like Telleriko out there uh spewing things that aren't biblical I think it's it is fair game listen you a lot of you are taking this guy in we see all of the hits uh the fact is what he's saying here doesn't line up with the word

of God we're not telling you who to vote for who not to vote for but you need to know what lines up with the God what doesn't I'd a pastor may have had just the pastor Aaron and I we go to our church and satiria but he said there was a pastor that he listens to that he follows and just got shocked one day may have I got very concerned but the pastor said listen I believe what when and if I mobilize my congregation to the voting booth uh they cancel themselves out and he was in our pastor's base that how can that be how can you cancel yourselves out if you're under the teaching of the word of God the authentic biblical teaching of the word of God and so therefore I believe my pastor I believe Aaron's pastor would definitely confront this in a win some way but still confront in a ways of listen there's few of some things it's not biblical it doesn't line up how prepared do you think that um you know it Charlie used to call these trembling churches yeah okay um and so you know um how prepared do you think that that realm of trembling churches

to confront um this this this this new phase now where campaigns themselves become vessels for preaching apostasy well one is I think their spine is stiffening a bit and there there's I'm going to give you the hopeful side the glass half full side believe their spine is stiffening and the reason is since covid we've seen a lot of these woke churches uh the rainbow flag churches uh as you said they're attracting flies they're dying they're going out why because they're not speaking truth and they're not being culturally relevant okay they're just trying to let the culture redefine the word of God versus the word of God redefine the culture but what you're seeing is that the churches are actually growing why are churches in a building camp those who are sticking to the word of God and being culturally relevant we're seeing those churches grow we're seeing people saying I want the truth especially the jen zeeers they're saying listen everybody's lied to me I just want somebody to speak truth to me and so the jen zeeers I think will flock to churches like that so I think sometimes some ways their spine is stiffening because they see others

doing it and others are not having everybody leave their church but your job isn't to grow the base attendance of a church or have the biggest budget of a church your job is to be faithful to God's word and to faithfully apply it to a culture that desperately needs it Todd really quick when Dan Brown's novels became a cultural force of nature in the early to mid-2000s the catholic church absolutely mobilized messaging to oppose that to say listen there's a reason these books are in the fiction section they walked through they did media tours I had several priests on my show back in those days they would send me pitches as well on a local level right how prepared is the catholic church to take on somebody who is good to use apostasy as a as a vehicle to drive a political campaign that'll have that's already gaining national attention no more prepared than anybody else because the I don't want to get political excuse is as common there as anywhere else and it's a betrayal of Matthew 28 that's not just a

admonition for geography it's what you say Steve all the time about every issue is every issue is theological the political realm is a real thing that governs our lives we the simple fact of the matter as grotesque as james taleriko is he is far more honest about Matthew 28 than a lot of very conservative pastors because he understands that realm i'm going to go get it yeah it is an absolute failure and a betrayal for every pastor and our priest to say i don't want to get political and you should mock them so so here's the key i got 30 seconds we were being close to home taleriko's in the state of texas i know that your show's national i by the way need to give a shout out to like dentists from michigan who i saw on mark whilam mark whilam he's a big fan of your show but right here in the state of i will you got a governor candidate rob san who's using scripture as well saying god's never talked about the sanctity of human life and when he does he says life begins at first breath guys they are taking scripture out of context you need to be willing to stand up

and let your congregations know about it amen thank you about good to see man thank you god bless when we come back congressman michael cloud's good to join us next day to head to whole foods market for savings on zesty flavors it's the cocina latina event with yellow sales signs throughout the store check out the meat department for marinated skirt steak with no antibiotics ever and explore delicious weeknight shortcuts with a variety of 365 brand simmer sauces rice and beans at wallet happy prices livin things up in produce with fresh salsa and guacamole saved during the cocina latina event at whole foods market next up a laughing session from the laughing cow no unpeel a wedge of the laughing cow lights breadable cheese a delicious snack with two grams of protein and 25 calories per wedge

so let's just start with kind of your background the way that you walked her into her own premise and then pulled the chair out from underneath the flawed premise there that we just don't see a lot of that today that the church frankly has not done a great job of preparing the last generation of believers to do that so your background and why were you able to do such a thing last week yeah i'm a born and bred church kid so i grew up you know in church in a season of our church where there's a real focus on teaching the bible in scripture and have always i guess just early on taught that you're supposed to use that to try to shape a world view and then out of that you know that should create kind of the lens at which we interpret and we interact with what's going on in the world around us and and so really it's come out of that i don't consider myself a bible scholar necessarily but certainly a bible student you know each day i'm reading

through my bible just the daily habits of you know me and my family we're doing our daily bible reading we're trying to learn and i've made the habit of especially in the last few years serving in this office of just as i go through scripture kind of cataloging things according to policy because there's a whole lot in scripture that talks about and addresses the world we're living in on a whole array of issues and you know just want to make sure that i'm keeping that front and center as we weigh the issues that are that are facing our society and in our nation Michael i'm curious how much did you know going in about how effective this was going to be so early in my career when i left local radio and went into national media uh i was an emiss and i was an msnbc contributor for almost two years and did a ton of their shows and i i did it for just two reasons one i needed to get my name out there as much as i possibly could number two is i was genuinely fascinated to see do these folks have you know do they have some

logic and rationale for why they think and believe some of the things they do they maybe i just don't know right i kind of wanted to test my own world view up against theirs and and what i often found was the answer to that question was a resounding no and that if if they could do better than just calling you a racist misogynist seeing a phobic homophobic bigot as rushes to say and they would all right that they they resort to those things because they really don't have a lot of really reasoned arguments to defend what they believe and they and they've kind of been coached to just think that if they call you those things you'll just kind of shut down that they like there's no comeback to those things you can cannot possibly overcome the objection of being labeled some of those things and so i'm curious but it took me a couple years and nearly 50 appearances as an msnbc to learn this from myself right you know and so i'm kind of curious did you kind of know going in did you kind of set the trap here or were you just genuinely surprised that the conversation went on about how little basis she had for what she was even arguing for yeah well first of all i didn't know she was going to be a witness till i walked into the committee

room that day on saw she was there uh and you know i had heard math u 25 it seems to be the only scripture we ever hear coming from the left yeah and so you know i thought you know i i wonder if she's going to bring up math u 25 again and i looked through her uh opening statement and sure enough they're they're at the end she invoked math u 25 and i thought well i'll be back at committee let me go back to my office grab my bible real quick uh and did that i will say i wasn't really trying to do a one over or anything i you know especially when we were talking about the parable of the talents i fully expected a response that's not you know it's one of the most popular parables in the new testament and people might not know where it is but they usually at least if they've been in church at all or are familiar with it uh and you know so it wasn't meant to be a stumped pastor at all i meant to be a back and forth so i was kind of surprised as well you know but i you know people have sent me different links and whatever i thought not

to be really had one an interesting take on it and they said it wasn't so remarkable as what i said you know i didn't feel like it was deep theology it was kind of kind of basic and important but but the fact that a pastor wouldn't know uh i think was actually much more remarkable uh and it kind of speaks to the state of the church in the united states and you know that's been heavy on my heart really the last several years is i think kind of engaging in this new world having worked in the church world previously uh to see pastors who are i guess kind of scared to engage on these issues when the bible so full of uh full of detail full of prescriptions for society and all these different kind of things that that we should be engaging with uh so that you know i thought that it was quite telling so you didn't you didn't have a four d chess plan laid out you and your staff didn't game theory this out all right you weren't even sure this woman who was even testifying that morning in your committee until you saw it so you showed up for work right

you just are a guy with a function is that correct for so far okay yeah yeah a lot of times the the dimple tell us in advance who's you know coming to committee okay we'll find out that morning yeah yeah so you're just a guy with a functional knowledge of his own belief system and that was it and i think this is important for our audience to understand because i think that they think that this requires like some you know nine degree you know seminar you know program from whatever few respectable seminaries we even have left in america right and and i think it's important for them to see that it really it really doesn't it it requires a basic knowledge of the word of god and maybe just a little bit of courage yeah i think so um you know it's really time for people of faith to just stand up and and be who we are you know you'll hear that from the left all the time just be who you are you know just and and and that's what

we need to be just be a light and stand for the principles that we know make society work and and that christ championed and espoused and released into the world you know um and and so the bible gives us a whole lot of instruction from society it's been you know just growing up in the church you kind of like you know those of us who've been taught to read our bible a little bit every day well you know for us and our family we try to read through it in a year and and so you know you'd kind of applaud through leviticus and deuteronomy and but you know as a legislator now i mean there's just so much in there the the general principles and uh of of you know for a lot of reliability law of property rights you know taxation i mean all these just different sort of things are in there and the the birthing principles of it you know and and even in the chambers those who visit our house chambers you'll see a lot of members point to the fact that uh just off camera view the house chamber is has these faces of lawmakers throughout history all the way around it

but directly in front of the speaker is moses and he's the only one who's full-faced everybody else is a profile and so we we understand that western societies really built on the ten commandments and and what was laid out by moses and uh but but still we don't take the time to really dig into what the what does that mean and evaluate what's coming before us uh based on these principles anymore and it's really something we could we would do was good to get back to were you surprised understand the why behind the what uh pardon me were you surprised by how viral this went i i was i you know i i kind of uh you know i thought it was going to be something but what's been kind of very interesting to watch is the slow burn and i think it uh over the last several days just as as it kind of keeps carrying on a life of its own um and i think it's just been refreshing i think for people of faith to see like okay we we don't have to hide our light

under a bushel so to speak uh and that there's truth to be found and you know one of the big things in society right now is the fact that we've made truth malleable uh where before you know we we could disagree on truth but we believe that truth was findable that there was an absolute truth and so the discussion was trying to get to that place of truth uh when when truth becomes what we wanted to be or it's my truth or your truth or whatever's whoever's truth uh then there's no standard of justice or no standard of right and wrong and you know so us getting back to like these are the principles that that that our society's based on and this this is how to build a good society a good family you know a righteous government you know those kind of things and then it's a matter of us studying it and trying to figure out how to get it done. What kind of reaction did you get from your colleagues to this? It's it's overall it's been uh at least the one's talking to me I should say has been positive uh and it was refreshing and you know like I said

I went in that morning fully expecting to question uh Governor Waltson and deal with some of the fraud issues that we've been trying to peel back on but at the same time you know so much of what we see going on is built on such as the arguments coming from from that side are built on this false foundation and and I thought it was important to kind of go after that foundational truth that these lies are being built upon and and so you know anyway but but yes us kind of peeling back that onion so to speak you know other representatives have gone to me and and you know basically said hey that was a good job oh we we need to get back to that a little more so I I I'm remembering the uh the old one of the old lines from Ronald Reagan the the problem with our friends on the other side of the aisle is is not their beliefs it's that much of what they believe just doesn't happen to be true and so I I thought that you did an excellent job of exposing that I'm curious about any Democrat colleagues right because when when you do what you did what you did which is

peel that onion back and show that there's no foundation there at all right and that there really is no standing whatsoever for why you are claiming what you claim and believing what you believe right um right you you kind of point out the emperor has no clothes you are and you did it I mean you're you know your personality was was very calm very measured but it was an absolute um weapon of mass destruction in terms of worldview deconstruction and and so no matter how you say it no matter how measured you are when you leave someone come when you leave someone's worldview in tatters they're going to typically have one of two reactions to that they're going to either say show me your ways or um you know um they're going to they're going to they're going to treat you like you know um you're the other so how about your Democratic colleagues did you hear anything from them about that exchange at all not too much yet uh now I'll say we were only up there a day or so after after that hearing and so it'll be interesting once we get back to DC to see if it has any sort

of traction uh you know I do know that there's some uh that are sincere in their faith and I I might you know take issue with how they've interpreted into into public policy uh but you know they claim the name of Christ and and want to serve him and um you know so it'll be interesting to see those conversations going forward you know what really concerns me about these issues I think is is when I think of pastors who don't speak to these sort of things uh when it's clear in scripture you know and so we end up I think Barnett did a research I haven't seen the latest numbers but as a few years ago like 25% of youth pastors had a biblical worldview you know and you know we've got we've got to get to shaping worldviews uh in our churches and dealing with these issues so that we're we're creating a society at this field there shouldn't be a one-off you know or or an anomaly uh people who claim the name of Christ should be able to

to speak to scripture when it comes to how these things address what all the issues we're trying to face last question um and I want to ask you about a specific policy because I know there's something you're working on right now that our audience is very very concerned about uh which is some kind of a digital currency which is it seems almost as right out of a black mirror episode or a left behind book all right social credit scores uh the ability hey you know we don't like what you posted so we're going to kind of shut you off electric cars kind of the kill switches that Biden put in those cars for example right so um you're working on this issue where how legitimate is this is it a boogeyman is this something that we we do have to expend some capital on that if we don't they will install this or is it or is it a trope you're you're dealing with the issue right now how realistic is it uh it's very realistic and it became a sticking point when the crypto legislation came to commerce where there are a few of us holding out for the fact that there was a uh a an open door to central digital bank currency uh going forth and becoming law

you know and so the president has stated that he's uh absolutely committed to making sure that this doesn't happen uh and right now there's a provision in that what's supposed to be a housing bill in the senate that's looking to send over that and this is the perverse way that DC does things that what they're saying is oh we're going to put push the possible implementation back five years and they'll come to us and say look we you know maybe it's not everything you want but we're putting it back five years but when really what you're doing is sending the alarm to everybody that says in five years we'll implement this uh and in the meantime be researching being developing and it's almost like they went and said how long will it take to develop this oh or probably take fires to develop this well we'll just say we won't start it for five years uh until these guys are getting a win so you know this is something that the federal reserves already been working on in developing uh even as the president has issued an executive order uh saying that this should not be happening but um the those branches kind of consider themselves outside of that executive order

so they've continued to work on it so it's important that we get in that legislation a prohibition that says this cannot happen and you're right the way it would be used to be a surveillance tool be able to track every and and we have to remember to like it wasn't that long ago uh less than two years ago we had an administration that wanted to know if you had six hundred dollars in your bank account yeah wanted to know what you were doing if they were working with credit card companies to track certain purchases on certain different type of items so that the federal government would know what you were spending money on you know so this is not um you know if you go back to a revolutionary days this is one of the things that we we were concerned with where you know the British soldiers were going to a house and kind of take stock of what was in your house now we just do it digitally now but uh this is a a core issue this is something this isn't you know some legislation comes across our desk and it's like well I wanted to save this much and it only saves this much so possibly you know we can you know it's not where we wanted it but it's in the right direction so we can get there this is one and as I told this speaker if

this would be allowed to happen and our kids and our grandkids would have to deal with this there's no amount of good on this side of the ledger that I could ever do in Congress to make the time I spent away from my family and my kids and everything worth it uh it's that much of an evil uh and so it needs to be stopped. Well said thank you Congressman it was a pleasure to get to know you and have you on the show we'll definitely do it again all right keep it up. Have a pleasure. All right take care that's Congressman Michael Cloud who did an outstanding job with that clip we showed you last week from the United States Congress before we get some thoughts from Todd and Aaron um you know our friends at Dream they make the powerful blend of all natural ingredients like magnesium melatonin and more and they put it all into a great tasting low-carve low-sugar hot cocoa that you drink right before bed in order to get the kind of night's sleep and they've got all kinds of flavors chocolate peanut butter just plain old chocolate sea salt caramel etc to get the kind of sleep that will frankly you only dream about all right so if you've been wanting the

not just I don't know freedom of religion and like you said digital currency I don't know it's just the way for the future no there's answers to all of this and you have to put in the work to find them and like you said I going back to the very beginning he said he said and he wanted to be clear I didn't do like some really long form preparation for this on the day of I've done a long form life preparation called being an actual Christian and also I'm not imploring you he said like there there is a calculus level of scholarship to be done on this and he says that's not me I'm just 101 guy but I take it very seriously that's the ballgame right there that's a man and full it you're all of your go down to Texas or wherever red state jingoism about god country family football it's not worth a hill of beans if you can't ultimately do the basic line of scrimmage fights all right not some crazy pointy headed IQ two minute offense just basic

line of scrimmage stuff you want your football analogies there it is just it's these are the basics of the game and a lot of you aren't willing to do it yep you got to be nimble you got to be willing to confront confront confronts when the opportunities arise and the necessity arises maybe I shouldn't use opportunity because increasingly it is a necessity to confront you might not be able to convert the woman pastor in that clip but at least you can give those with listening ears you can give them you can give them an alternative the correct explanation you can maybe save them and I go back to feedback Friday we received that note from actually it was theology Thursday we we received the note from the individual who was talking to a co-worker and the co-worker just spewed borderline blasphemy about the the character of god and just one thing after the other misdirection after misdirection and the co-worker and the guy who emailed said hey I had to walk away because it was borderline blasphemous and I didn't know how to handle it

you cannot be caught flatfooted at all you just cannot you have to be willing to confront I saw a neighbor of mine didn't know he was my neighbor he didn't know that I was his neighbor but he was blaspheming the Holy Spirit in relation to something that you were saying at a campaign event for Adam Steve our gubernatorial candidate in Iowa and I just called him out for it didn't know didn't know you didn't know I was your neighbor but here we are and we're going to throw down you're not just going to be able to blaspheme into the ether and not have a response we have to get more confrontational more confrontational and that was very confrontational and you heard Michael Cloud there he was a very nice guy very soft spoken but that was that that was a smackdown that he provided yes it was and so that's just another indication that you can be extremely confrontational but your tone you know your tone can be whatever you want it to be you can have a quiet soft spoken tone but make no mistake the confrontation needs to happen

Amen let me reset that since you brought up confrontation love is not a tone in one direction and we have been told by the immasculators for the last few decades that love is a tone no it's not I mean you should you should be judicious with your tone you should be you should you should try to be wise with your tone but the the it's the same Paul who says use words of love seasoned with salt who then also says cut your whole penis off if you believe in circumcision so much you know what you're a son of the devil love is a motivation it's not a tone love is a motivation when you punish your children it's out of love and when you reward them it's out of love similarly when God punishes you when he lets you suffer the consequences for the due penalty of your actions it's out of love

and when he sends his son to die for the ultimate penalty that you deserve for your actions that's also out of love confrontation also isn't a tone it's a motivation a motivation to what to confront and it can be in a certain tone there are moments that God says Adam what you're doing then there are moments that he sees with anger to Moses about these people so which is it the answer is yes confrontation isn't a tone any more than love is all right and so we we're over the last few decades we've undergone this Mike Pence Rick Warren Jolostein Tim Keller that love is a tone no it's not however don't listen to the to the new guys rising that want to tell you that confrontation's a tone

that unless you're just absolutely belligerent and using the most incendiary language possible you're not you're not doing anything effective that's not true either can can using the most incendiary and language available be effective can it be effective doing that sure sure can it also mean you're just a jerk face it can it can how would we know what's your motivation Michael's tone and how he typically communicates in that Smackdown is different than how we often communicate in our show but that was every bit as vicious as anything we've ever attempted to do the other side's worldviews what he did in his own way tone isn't don't make don't make love in idle don't make tone in idle love is a motivation not a tone confrontation is a motivation not a tone and and and and here's the thing we all have to understand I mean that one meme we've talked about it before guys where the guy goes to Jesus and says

I can't handle this and Jesus like your your enemies are perpetual virginal retards and their mom's base you see that have you seen that meme okay what are we doing here right yeah I can't there is there is no plan or formula or class or seminar or base of knowledge you can acquire to substitute for courage now that doesn't mean you don't get courage from growing in knowledge of what you believe that's why we focus so much on world view here on this show right I mean that's that's one of the major reasons why when the re I mean I'm the reason why I'm so confident walking into these kinds of spaces is because of how much that the you know I've grown in my knowledge of my faith that I've taken Romans 12 do no longer be conformed to the thoughts and patterns of this world

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind right how seriously I've taken that over the last 20 years since the Lord saved me and how gracious he has been to help me growing great knowledge because of how because my heart wanted to be so obedient in that era in that area by the way in some other areas of my life where I don't I don't feel the Lord's graciousness as much you know why is it because he's just not gracious in those areas no I'm not I'm not obedient enough in those areas that's why I'm still kind of holding on to the parts of me in those areas that I really enjoy and don't want to let go of that's how works for all of us if you're wondering why the Lord is not gracious to you in a certain area it's more than likely because you're not obedient in it and when your desires to be obedient in it even if you fail even if you're imperfect when your desire is to be obedient in that era that's really where you really see the Lord's graciousness often show up and so yes grow more in knowledge so you can be more confident but ultimately you have

to have the confidence the confidence for a confrontation otherwise what was the point of all of that knowledge that you grew in right absolutely we're not a nation of laws and we never have been we're a nation of political will and we always will be the Steve Day Show Exfinity tech support I can't get Jurassic Park back online without but no worries our Wi-Fi boosted mobile keeps you connected in all kinds of places cut your mobile bill in half with two lines of unlimited learn more at ExfinityMobile.com Exfinity imagine that watch Jurassic Park with Exfinity restrictions apply Exfinity internet required savings comparison based on promotional rate for two lines of Exfinity mobile unlimited versus two lines of T-Mobile experience more Verizon unlimited plus an AT&T starter as of February 10th 2026 taxes fees extra Fox News is now streaming live on Fox 1 when it matters most turn to the voices you trust we go beyond the headlines bringing

days that's blaze unlimited dot com slash days all right over the weekend I saw this from our friend Megan Basham and she posted I'm at a trendy hair salon in Charlotte getting my hair done and my 26 year old stylist tells me she voted for the first time in the last election for Trump but she says she will probably never vote again she doesn't view the Trump administration is doing the thing she voted for she told me it's like it's it's like you like vote for someone to do these great things they promised during the campaign but then the men and the black suits come in and they decide what really happens now whether that's true or not I think this is a wide perception with the new voters Trump drew in the last election if they don't fix that problem soon those voters will withdraw from politics again now normally even for somebody as smart as Megan we would not necessarily on an anecdotal point like this devote a segment of discussion on it but it aligns with data that

I've seen and and that that essentially shows yeah we got to tie with young men in 2024 that's the best we've done as a party since the 1980s we tied with young men and a lot of those young men I think came to us because of Trump's appearances on shows like Rogan and Theobon and the brodood podcasts that are out there right and now those shows are largely kind of off the reservation they still you know I still see plenty of clips of those shows mocking modern day wokeness but in terms of seeing Trump as the alternative vehicle to that wokeness for their audiences you don't see hardly any of those clips at all in those conversations at all a lot of data I've seen supports this too and so this young woman would be in the same age group as those young men

that listen to those brodood podcasts with what they voted for was they didn't think they're going to be any more stupid wars they thought we were going to drain the swamp that people would be held accountable because after all the guy that they tried to assassinate if anybody's motivated to hold these people accountable it's him right we're in a war right now I don't think it's dumb but can I sit here and say for sure that it's not can I say that for sure we don't know how this is all going to turn out right we don't know we don't we don't okay but what we also know is it comes on the heels of no real accountability as our friend Brianna Morello tweets out every morning when I first wake up one of the first tweets in my feed every day is today's date is blankety blank and nobody from the Biden and Obama administration has been arrested yet right so no one's been held accountable we're in a war may or may not be prolonged may or may not be dumb I don't think it's dumb doesn't appear like we're prosecuting it stupidly but we also don't can't sit here and confidently just wave the flag we don't know the outcome of this yet right as we just said and so she's concerned about demoralizing these kinds of voters now listen

this has been true of young voters it looks different in every generation right I mean you and I are old enough to remember when the Ron Paul young millennials we're going to make the GOP the party of gay marriage remember this okay and now we have more Republicans against gay marriage than we have had since burger fails the burger failed ruling so you know that whole kind of we're all going to become Ron Paul out at the Fed and sodomize who you want party didn't quite work out right okay and what things did you and I think we're probably true at 25 and 26 that and now we even even if we kind of think this might be true now we have kids and so even if we do think the system is largely rigged against us and mostly a unibrow we have kids and so can we at least get the best part of the unibrow then what the other side's off on us you see you start making different distinctions as your life gets older you see things with a different perspective right so that's part and parcel of being this age and growing up fair okay but I also don't

think we can just instantly dismiss all of this as that either because we have had unprecedented exposure to some of the evils in our culture and in our own government that our own elements were own government have been involved in in this particular era releasing JFK files now we're going to release UFO files and we we just let 20 million people into the country and everybody knows it right okay I mean we're more aware of this stuff than we ever have been before because of these devices right here in our hands right okay so yes this is part of a younger generation kind of has to learn the way things really work in the world that's part of it but I also think we have more knowledge of how the things have really been working all this time that we ever have before and there is more of a danger of this sticking in lasting as a result of that than there was before thoughts well listen in terms of the candidates right in front of you listen you I understand let's just take out of it a specific application we don't know what issue she has

that she's made paramount vis-a-vis the particular candidates she's voted for whether it be Trump Republicans at the federal level I have no idea her level of local involvement and where with all that's a problem a lot of people just their their attention is entirely at the federal level and they don't know what's going on anywhere else but I I think it is fair young or old to give up on the specific in the near term to watch your hands of it but that that's not something you're allowed um broadly speaking uh as a citizen uh there's steves put it and you learn these things when you get married and start having kids and your life's just not about you use some things you know but that yeah well but and we need to do a better like wow I'm such a unique flower I my life must be so unique that it has nothing to do with every other person that's come before you and we need to just be more sober minded as you know raising the next generation adults you know

citizens this is part of uh citizenship we we need to uh train one another um whether we are young or old that the the ballgame is uh uh being involved um in a way that is not always uh edifying see we have a we have a shirts and skins you know sports approach to a lot of things in how we do real life in government and that's not helpful in any way shape or form I mean it's just that we don't like the daily grind doing the basic things we like the highlight real things like that there's there's all manner of things that you need to be doing uh as a citizen just for the long term to make it more likely that you have the candidates that you won't be able to complain about like that and I'm taking your your complaints at face value as much as I can't a degree of frustration that I I do identify with uh at some level but uh parent or uh not

you there's a little the people that think that they can I first I'd ask you what do you if you're that frustrated with this what are you running away too because you must think that there's a place that you can go to where you can kind of like insulate yourself or or just drug yourself or pretend it's not happening so I think your your your instinct to run away from it realizing these things is exactly wrong it's because now you're becoming more aware you need to go deeper um because honestly if you're if you're first if you think things are simultaneously so bad enough that you can run away to the place and just a it where it doesn't impact you anymore I that that math is never going to check out you you're you're you're you're you're you're doing what almost everybody it does who realizes you know what I got I'm out of shape I gotta get fit I gotta go in there and you have all those good intentions whether it's new years or you had a doctor's appointment that didn't go well and you get in there and you're kind of on a high for a while man I kind of

pulled a hammy there in week two or something like that I don't know man this kind and none of these people here I don't know they're not motivating me uh I'd I'm starting to miss all the old habits that I had home are you in or you're out so listen sister I appreciate it I really do but not the answer is uh not to run away it's it's it's actually to go deeper to become more resolute you you're becoming a citizen and this is part of it and you go back to the founding of this country and you will find the frustrations of the founding fathers that they had um you giving giving a power over to the people because the rights come from God and then also realizing on a daily basis oh the masses are asses so yeah this is the game do you want freedom or doubt you well then fight for Aaron what do you think you're the younger here so there are so Todd is right to hone in on the the fundamental problems of our of our population the the fundamental issue of the of the population

and i'll get into that a little bit i i think the good news though i there are buttons you can push i i think leaning into maha would be incredibly effective we had polling from i think it was signal a few weeks ago uh saying that basically hey uh one to one if a republican running on maha is up against the democrat not running on maha the republican fairs much better in our polling so there are buttons that you can push but ultimately from a larger view the fundamentals are still the same my daughter Abby is going to be two years old next month she's a tiny little thing and she's gotten into this new habit where if she is messing with something getting into something that she shouldn't be and i call her out on that or uh Bella calls her out on that she'll take what's in her hand throw it as hard as she possibly can and she can throw pretty well for being so small and then run the exact opposite direction and it's really smart because we're concerned about picking up the thing that she threw which maybe we should probably be having her pick that up

distraction distraction run away that's kind of what the voter does at the first sign of disappointment at the first sign of being told no you're not getting what you wanted throw whatever throw whatever device that means engagement in the process throw that away and run hard the opposite direction now does that work for Abby no it doesn't restill get her and still make sure that she understands she wasn't supposed to be doing that it's not going to work for us and that's the fundamental problem and you get back now to human nature yes some of this is human nature but it is aided and abetted and uh really exacerbated by the level uh still in this country in the year 2026 the level of comfort and largesse that we enjoy that internal instinct the reason that uh god's people uh in the Old Testament are called uh or likened or humans in in general are likened to sheep that's the problem but it's exacerbated by comfort wealth and largesse so we have fundamental issues that are just not going to go away and i think these

these accounts are pretty typical amongst the populace that are reachable for right wing conservative whatever you want to call it uh politics unfortunately i love the fact that you offered a specific remedy to tides overall diagnosis so you offered a medicine okay because and i know and i know you know this i just want to make sure that we communicate this to the audience i know you know this Todd but the system bears some responsibility to this young lady and these bro dudes that feel like what they voted for is not what they're getting the system owes them that i mean listen listen i um i absolutely believe there is some level of supernatural anointing on trump in this era but let's also be honest nobody ran on three fifty for a gallon of gasoline and war with Iran and no one's getting arrested for Epstein did anybody run on that

no no one ran on that the opposite yeah ran on the opposite of that okay so let we can't sit here if we want to win these people back over we can't just look them in the eye and gaslight them and say hey get with it kid yeah voting republican sucks this is what we all do 12 years of slave how you like them apples that's not how you went over 26 year olds they want to think they want to be aspirational all right so that's not you there no one ran on some of the things that we're doing right now no one ran on this stuff and we should just acknowledge that now those of us have been around here a while no you know my wife and i got married we didn't think either heading into year 25 we'd be looking at getting divorced that wasn't what we were thinking but that's what that's life and we had to deal with it and not succumb to it and now we have a better marriage we've ever had before you know you just those are things you can't know at 26 but the system owes that young lady and those bro dudes who were missing out on right now owes them some something to be inspired by and i think your specific remedy of the maha

stuff is a great idea that's it that's not it's not a it's not an antidote it's not a panacea but yeah that that is something that i think would would go a long way in terms of re-energizing and remobilizing people again for sure i mean do you guys sense that if this thing is a great military victory in Iran that we're going to have like national parades over this no no i don't either i i think most people are just going to be like all right so what's this mean for me then so now so now we've we've we've shut off the spigot to venezuela and Iran so well gas now be under two dollars a gallon you see what i'm trying to say right yeah and i and i and i think you have to inspire people this is my big idea maybe i'm going to leave you with today you have to inspire people by what actually inspires them okay all right final thoughts on the show today gentlemen what do you think well that that's the trick we live in a nation where we are in down by our creator with certain

inalienable rights and the nation and those rights are founded by god but also that's not what the people even the people who claim to believe in that they aren't really inspired by they are inspired by the things that are alluded to the comfort so yeah they we they they have a they should have a desired have a return on investments but they also have to realize they're the fundamental player in the game the reason why we have results like what we just talked about is that because it's because the median citizen of this country doesn't have the understanding and willingness to confront like michael cloud and therefore what we're going to face are subversives like james taleriko who take advantage of that void amen go hard Romans a 28 rince knows that greatness takes time but so does laundry so rince will take your laundry and
