Picture packing up a whole house mid season because your spouse was traded, finding all the Lego, googling new schools and keeping the family functioning while dad's off chasing a different puck, Olympic level stuff. I'm pretty sure some of these women could coordinate a power play and organize a house move, simultaneously. Give them a trophy shaped like a minivan, with a cup holder for their coffee. They pull off moves even wilder than what happens on the ice. No headlines, but they deserve a standing ovation. And before anyone twists my words, this is not about Edmonton. The point is, behind every trade, contract and game, families are there, adapting. For me, the pronger versus low saga is a reminder. Hockey is about the people you don't see, the ones who make it all possible.
