Aerial attacks in the Russia-Ukraine war are escalating.

Russian air defenses down 389 incoming Ukrainian drones.
Russia's defense ministry says Wednesday in what's been reported as the largest overnight
attack on Russian regions and Crimea since Moscow's forces invaded Ukraine more than four
years ago.

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania said drones came down in their territory, though they
were likely strays.
The Ukrainian barrage came a day after Russia fired almost a thousand drones and 34 missiles
at civilian areas of Ukraine as it extended its usual nighttime barrage into daylight
hours, killing at least six people.
On Wednesday, Russian drones smashed into residential areas of Ukraine's second largest city
Harkiv in an afternoon raid.
The mayor says at least nine people were injured, but he did not report any deaths.
