A jury found both Mehta and YouTube liable in a first of its kind lawsuit, aiming to

hold social media platforms responsible for harmed children using their services.

The plaintiff, a 20-year-old woman identified as KGM, says her early use of social media

addicted her to the technology and exacerbated her mental health struggles.

Her lawyer, Mark Leneer, says they were not able to talk about Mehta and YouTube content.

You will be held accountable for the future, regardless of whether the children are

getting sent for a graphic picture, regardless of whether they're being sex-moitated, regardless

of those types of issues, just because of the features alone, the drive addiction.

Leneer was asked about damages.
