I met Donahue with an AP News Minute. Savannah Guthrie recounted the moments after her mother

Nancy disappeared in Arizona in February. Guthrie's brother found the back doors of their

mother's home, propped open, and her phone and purse were still at the home.

And he said, I think she's been kidnapped for ransom. And I said, yeah, what? What?

And then, I mean, it sounds so like how dumb could I be? But I just, I didn't want to believe it.

On NBC, the Today Show co-host is concerned, what happened to her mother maybe connected to her?

Somebody thought, oh, that girl, that lady has money. We can get it, make a quick buck. I mean,

that would make sense, but we don't know. But yeah, that's probably, which is too much to
