On April 21st, director David Frankle and screenwriter Alene Brosh McKenna just dropped some fun behind the scenes scoop on the backroll podcast about. Anna Wentour visiting the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2, the 76-year-old Vogue legend swung by while they shot a scene in the Dior offices where Emily Blunt's character now works. Wentour zeroed in on the props right away, saying there were too many flowers in the shot and that Dior sticks to white ones, no pink. Brosh McKenna had the team scramble to swap them out for a single vase of white flowers on the spot. She also posed for photos with the cast and filmed a goofy extra take that director Frankle says will hit streaming later. He joked they couldn't ask her for a second go since her timing was off and the focus slipped. The original movie from 2006 draws from Lauren Weisberger's book, with Miranda Priestly clearly inspired by Wentour after Weisberger, assisted her. Meryl Streep playing Priestly stayed away from fashion back then to craft her own version.
Now, after 20 years of knowing Wentour, Streep got a call about the sequel and assured her it would land well. With that seal of cool from the queen herself, this follow-up is shaping up to slay. This has been Entertainment and Celebrity News Today, powered by AI. I'm Corey with The Story.
