00I remember when I was expecting my daughter, it was wild how everybody suddenly became a baby expert. Especially when it came to baby clothing, I had friends, neighbors, random ladies in the grocery store giving me their opinions on onesies versus sleep sacks and bougie baby brands. And I'll be honest, Imikelli's closet was basically a boutique full of adorable outfits that looked precious on the hanger, but I never put them on her because they weren't comfortable or they made diaper changes a nightmare. I wish little sleepies was around when Imikelli was a baby, but now I recommend them to my niece who's expecting my great nephew. Little sleepies was created by real moms who understand that 3 a.m. diaper changes need to be as simple as possible. We don't need baby couture at 3 a.m. We need baby clothes that cooperate. Little sleepies fabric is so soft. I wish they made onesies in my size. They add the most thoughtful details to make everyday dressing and diaper changes a breeze and these clothes hold up. They are stretchable, and breathable, and they fit up to 3 times longer than typical baby clothes, so they're not outgrowing them every other week. And I love that little sleepies is always dropping new styles. It gives more for

Anna, did something happen yesterday that made you feel like you were going to get arrested? Yes. Oh my. Out of all the people on the show, that is the last person. I thought whatever experienced something like that. But we'll get into it. After we do a couple of these bad boys,

05let's get to Love Letters to Kelly. Love Letters. Love Letters to Kelly. You can write our love expert at Love Letters to Kelly.com. If you're Kelly, you are the love expert. I am. Me, myself and I write. I am 14, literally almost 15. And my life is totally chaotic. Oh, sorry. I've been listening to you guys since I was so young and I've grown up and matured extremely. And I've been seeing a lot of things going around in the house lately. Things that I don't think would be going on in other people's homes. My parents fight a lot due to me and my brother, my twin brother. And a lot of bad things have happened on Valentine's Day. And after that, another even happened. And now I've been horribly stressed and I'm anxious. My mom has explained to my grandparents and me since I'm homeschooled about a lot of things that my dad has done. He's not statistic, controlling, and severely verbally abusive. And I've been seeing these actions more lately now. I've lost total respect from my dad. I can't handle being around him.

06And when he makes not so funny jokes, it makes me so angry. I can't even handle being in the same house as him. My mom and dad have told each other that they wanted a divorce, but they haven't gotten it yet. My dad agreed to do marriage counseling, but he's procrastinating. Honestly, I just want them to get divorced. He's put me through so much, but I think my mom thinks she owes him for saving her, but she hasn't done anything. What should we do? Me, myself and I. Well, I'm really, really sorry that you're in the middle of all of that. And if it is at all possible, he said there are grandparents in the situation. Yes, people have talked to you. That you can talk to your grandparents. Let them know that you don't feel safe and secure there. If there's any way you could go and maybe stay over there until the situation has worked out between your parents. That's not right for you to be in the middle of all that. But if that's not a possibility, sometimes grandparents aren't in the position financially or they don't have the space. If their health is not great, maybe distress wouldn't be great for them. If there is a

08teacher you trust, if you go to church, talk to your youth pastor, somebody let them know what's going on. Because I think that it's not a safe situation for you to be there. And maybe your father needs to see, oh, I'm about to lose my family. If I don't, you said he's talked about, he's putting off to go into counseling and therapy because there has been no sense of urgency because his family is still intact as far as he can tell. So maybe that will be the thing to wake him up and say, I need to do something because now my sons don't even want to be around me. That, you know, that's, but I would absolutely go talk to an outside adult that's not your mother is that's a whole different dynamic between your mom and dad that that you can't solve and it's not up to you. It's not your what about a letter? What about writing her dad a letter? Sure. Try that. I mean, I think if you're a parent and she said he's narcissistic and sometimes those

11people are tough to crack, but if he sees it in writing and sees the pain and you're and you write extremely well, you do 14-year-old, 14-year-old, you're very mature. You have tried talking to your dad. He shouldn't be in this position to have to do that. This is so sad. I'm sorry. But yeah, you could try writing a letter of your dad, but I think you do need to get an outside adult that you trust. And so you have a plan B, right? I'm sorry. You're going to this. But there's anybody. Look, I'm not a professional counselor. I'm not. I've never, yeah, I just was put in this position to give advice to people who ask me for it. So if there is somebody who does work in situations like this, I would really appreciate professional input because I don't want to give the wrong advice, especially to a young person like that. There you go. Love letters. Love letters. Kelly, you're Kelly. You're the love expert. I recently moved to Missouri, or Missouri, depending on who you're from, from Florida. And I've been listening and absolutely love y'all. Thank you. But me and my boyfriend have been on and off for about three years. I'm 23. He's 21.

16We all, we also have a kid together. I just want your opinion on if I should stay or leave. His dad got sick and I dropped everything to move up here with him. I left all my family and friends behind in the beginning. It was nice and peaceful, but now it's a little hectic. Anytime he comes home from work, he just wants to sleep. I used to work two jobs and he never slept as much as he does now. He always, he also likes to get snappy at me. And I'm an apprentice right, apprentice right now. And so sometimes I have to stay late at work and he gets angry when I do. My recently have been told he said, I don't want to do this single dad ish anymore. And yes, I believe that he said that because he does. It sounds like something that he would say. I do have love for him and his family has helped us out so much and I feel horrible for leaving, but at the same time, I want to do it best for me. Thank you for your help, Gracie. Well, here's the thing you can't do with your second in this equation. The kids number one, you got to do it best for your child. That's just as a parent. There's a lot of stuff. There's a lot

21of crap I put up with when I was a single woman and things I would and would not accept in a relationship. And then when Emma Kelly came along, I had to prioritize her and make sure that I didn't put her in situations where she was second or put a man above her needs and wants. So you're very young. You've put yourself in a very, very adult situation, very young, but now you've got a kid to think of. You've got to do something. You need to be around a support system and it might not be so easy to move back to Florida because now you do have a child together and if he wants to fight you on it, you can't just, but sometimes a guy doesn't fight. He's like, I don't want it. This responsibility, go ahead and go back to Florida. It might be completely fine. I don't know, but you need to be around a healthy environment for your child. You need to make sure your child is loved and supported. I want you to be loved and supported too, but you need to, you know, really prioritize what's best for your child's interest. I would love

25for your child to be raised in a two-parent home. I would have loved that for my child. It didn't happen. It didn't work out that way, but you know, that's what you need to do. You need to now grow up be an adult in the situation. Have a mature conversation with your boyfriend and say, this isn't working what we're doing. We need to figure out what's best for us as a couple and what's best for our child and make a plan moving forward. It may not be with him. It's time to stop worrying about everybody's hurt feelings and put the child first. Do what's best from there. There you go. If you want to ride our love expert, loveletters2kelly.com is where you can get those in and you can even be a jinglesinger for her podcast. The love love letters to Kelly podcast. So from love advice to I've never heard you say you felt like you were going to get arrested. I nearly got arrested. I'd love to see you be arrested. I know. No, I was nearly arrested, but I'm here today to tell the tale. So yesterday I had a wonderful opportunity to go speak to some college students.

28It was this little seminar panel for these students that are in the business school and it was just to talk about starting your career, working at entertainment, incorporating social media into broadcasting. It was a really, really cool seminar. But before that, I arrived to the college campus. They gave extremely detailed directions on how to get to the building that I needed to be at. But I had like 15, 20 minutes to spare. And typically right after the show, I tend to get really hungry. And I was like, okay, college campus, there's got to be somewhere that I can grab something to eat real quick. And I saw that there was an Einstein's bagels, like a few close enough for me to walk to and then probably still make it to where I need to go. I said, okay, perfect. Also, this is like a 21 jump street situation back at school. And I carry my work things in a backpack. So I didn't need to take my laptop with me, but I was like, I'm going to take my backpack so I blend in, right? I'm sure somebody's going to stop me and ask me when I'm studying because that's what happened. And you do look like a college student. Thank you so much. And so I'm walking around and I see

32the bagel place. I see it says Einstein's bagels. But then as I, as my hunger is getting stronger, and I can almost smell the bagels, I noticed it was inside the student union. So I had to go inside the building to get to the to the bagels. All of the students, it must have been like a passing period because there was a lot of students walking in and out and out of the building. So I walked into the building, but once you get through the doors to get to the bagels, you have to scan your student ID. Uh-oh. Oh, no. Now, I don't have a student ID. And in that moment, I considered, what if I just walked really quickly behind someone else? That's why you should. Yeah. Well, no, because there was a security guard. And I was like, what if I do that? And then I get arrested. You know, I could smell the bagels. I'm very hungry. I was tempted. But then I immediately just kind of turned around and had to go against the flow of traffic for the students. But then I was like, well, now they know. Yeah. Now they know that I'm not actually what about the old. I forgot my student ID. Yeah, I forgot my student ID. Oh, can you go get me a bagel? I'll give you a dollar. I know. I should have just asked somebody to get one for me and paid them. That was actually a really good idea. But no, instead, I had to just start I had to just starve, but starving,

36you know, wanting a bagel sometimes is better than being in prison. And that's what I told myself. The bagel bandit. The bagel bandit. I know. No, I was I was just a little a very tiny moment of panic. But overall, getting to talk to these students was a really, really cool experience. It was really wholesome to see a group of young people just so eager to learn. You know, it was really, really cool. I wish them all the best. They told me that we're going to tune in today. So shout out to you guys. I hope the security guard at UT was listening. I knew that goes on. I knew. All right. Let's go that to the ladies. You got a man in your life. It could be your dad, your, your man's boyfriend, husband, uncle, brother. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Does your man believe he could fight a chimpanzee? We'll find out a few agrees with most men about being able to do that. Because most men apparently think they could beat up a chimpanzee. And we have a list of other things. Okay. This

40coffee optional. How's about a cup of coffee? Kid nation required. I'm satisfied. This is the kid critic morning. This episode is brought to you by Athletic Brewing Company.
