De: In einem großen, hellen Haus, wo bunte Blumen den gedeckten Tisch schmückten und pastellfarbene Eier überall verteilt waren, bereitete sich Annalena voller Vorfreude und ein wenig Stress auf den besonderen Tag ihres Sohnes Klaus vor.
En: In a large, bright house, where colorful flowers adorned the set table and pastel-colored eggs were scattered everywhere, Annalena was preparing with anticipation and a bit of stress for the special day of her son Klaus.

En: “Oh no, the vanilla extract is out of stock!” She sighed heavily because, without this special flavor, she couldn't make the planned cake.
De: „Was sollen wir jetzt bloß tun?“ Friedrich zuckte mit den Schultern.
En: “What are we going to do now?” Friedrich shrugged his shoulders.
De: „Wir können einen anderen Kuchen machen oder sehen, ob Klaus eine Idee hat.“ Da kam Klaus hineingestürmt, sein Gesicht strahlend vor Aufregung.
En: “We can make a different cake or see if Klaus has an idea.” Then Klaus came rushing in, his face beaming with excitement.
De: „Mama, Papa, was passiert?
En: “Mom, Dad, what’s happening?
De: Kann ich helfen?“ Annalena hielt inne, ein Gedanke formte sich in ihrem Kopf.
En: Can I help?” Annalena paused, a thought forming in her mind.
De: Warum nicht?
En: Why not?
De: „Klaus, wir brauchen eine wichtige Zutat für deinen Geburtstagskuchen.
En: “Klaus, we need an important ingredient for your birthday cake.
De: Wollen wir ein Spiel daraus machen?“ Annalenas Augen funkelten, und Klaus nickte begeistert.
En: Shall we make a game out of it?” Annalena's eyes sparkled, and Klaus nodded enthusiastically.
De: Gemeinsam machten sie sich auf den Weg in den Nachbarsupermarkt.
En: Together, they set off to the neighborhood supermarket.
