Allah will ask us about our children

0:00The prophet of laestat was said to him, he literally says that we are mess-ul. We are mess-ul. And we translated that as responsible. And this is an accurate translation of the meaning. Okay, we are responsible as shepherds for our flocks. As parents, we are responsible for our children. But the Arabic language is so beautiful in that just like we mentioned in metaphors, there are connections. When it comes to these different words and their roots, there's also connections. So when we talk about being mess-ul, it shares the root of sa'ala, yes alu, which means to ask, to question, to demand an answer. So mess-ul refers to somebody who's going to be questioned. Somebody who is questioned. So a sa'al is one who asks a question, mess-ul is the one that is asked the question. So we should make this connection in our minds that not only are we responsible for our flocks, but Allah is going to ask us about our flocks. On the day of judgment, we're going to stand before Allah and He is going to be the sa'al. He's going to be the one that's asking us

1:03about our responsibilities. Just as Allah tells us in the Quran, indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart about all of those, one will be questioned. And here we find that same word, mess-ul and we're going to be questioned. So this is an important reminder for all of us. We're going to be asked about our flocks and how we fulfill these responsibilities.
