They were in the mix but ultimately passed because they weren't ready to match that massive price tag. Pierce actually turned down even bigger offers from other teams to remain in Indianapolis. Meanwhile, the Colts are shaking up their offense by trading Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers. That clears the path for Pierce to become the main target, jumping from 296 targets over four years to a much bigger role.
