Alabama Basketball Star Faces Marijuana Charges

Along with failure to affix a tax stamp, Tuscaloosa police, say a narcotics task force search, turned up over a pound of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash at a local residence. The 21-year-old junior posted $5,000 bond and was released by late morning. Tuscaloosa remains a key piece for the Crimson Tide, averaging 16.8 points per game as their second leading scorer. He dropped 18 points in Alabama's tight 80-79 loss to Ole Miss during the SEC tournament quarterfinals last Friday. The team sits at 23 wins and 9 losses, having won 9 of their last 11 outings. As a number 4 seed in the Midwest region, Alabama draws the 13th seeded Hofscher Pride in the NCAA tournament's first round this Friday at Benchmark.
