AITA for Bringing Food to a BBQ

Torya opens the show by asking what Mike thinks about the situation where you bring your own food to your mother in law’s BBQ party because you have a food allergy. Mike believes the asshole in the story was the mother-in-law because, let’s be real, whether you believe in food allergy or not. It’s safer to trust the word of that person. Whether you believe they exist or not. You can’t just dismiss that fact.

She then tells a story about one person she knows that her mother-in-law didn’t believe she was lactose intolerant. In one family gathering, she decided to test the mother-in-law on thanksgiving day and destroy the bathroom. The smell destroyed the dessert after.

They all agreed that the father-in-law was also the secondary asshole. Torya believes that defending the spouse is not necessary but Mike strongly disagrees because they usually got each other’s back. They both agreed that this episode is just short.

The moral of the story is the original poster is not the real asshole.
