Aigner Siblings Dominate Para Alpine Skiing

0:00This is Corey, here with your quick two-minute global update. The Ainor family from Austria is dominating pair Alpine skiing at the Milan Cortino Winter Paralympics. Siblings Veronica and Johannes have now won six medals this week pushing the family's total to 15 across two games. They compete in the visually impaired standing category, born with congenital cataracts that affect their site. Four years ago in Beijing, Veronica joined her sisters, Barbara and Elizabeth, plus Johannes, to grab nine medals. Barbara, Johannes's twin, were tired last year, and Elizabeth skipped these games due to a knee injury. Irmgard, another sister, once guided Veronica before Elizabeth stepped in and neither is visually impaired. The whole family, including parents Petra and Christian, who love skiing, traveled to Cortina Dumpezo to support the pair. Petra shares the same eye condition as her three daughters. Johannes, the 20-year-old, called it emotional seeing everyone together after time apart.

1:01Johannes earned two golds and a bronze, while 23-year-old Veronica took two golds and a silver. Together, they've claimed all eight of Austria's medals so far in pair skiing here.
