We know that you listen to these, and you know that it is paperview. 2:00It has. But you know, we were just having, we were just having a conversation, though, in the office about the fact that it's a gift in a curse, right? Because it's like, man, AEW paperview, it's been so long, and it feels like so long. But also this stretch between worlds and revolution really builds that anticipation. And it feels like going this long without a major paperview for me, without a paperview for me at all, has really, I think, built up the hype and anticipation. I feel like when you look at this card, it's like, it's almost like we're not playing fair. But you look at it. You just, you look at this card and you're like, oh my god. And there's so much at stake, so much on the line. And one of the matches with a lot on the line is a match that involves two of the greatest tag teams of all time in FTR, the Young Bucks, with the tag team titles on the line. This is not the first time we've discussed this match here on this show. We have discussed it many times, but each time it feels like the circumstances are different. It feels like the stakes are different, but somehow some way the Young Bucks and FTR keep bringing it in this time with the AW tag team titles on the line.

3:08And the Young Bucks backyard of Los Angeles, California, you know, they're going to have the crowd on their side, but at the same time, you know, FTR. It's interesting because it's not like this is the first time the FTR has necessarily been the bad guys in a scenario with the Young Bucks. But it feels like this is the most hated FTR has been in their run in AW. And, you know, this is the first time they've had stokely at their side. And it's like they are, I think, on a stronger run than they've ever been on in terms of, in terms of the strength they bring as a team. They talk about just last week they faced the Rascals and, you know, the Rascals got one over on them in the eliminator match. But then, of course, the FTR turned it right back on them, got that win proved that they are exactly who they say they are. They are literally on the championship belts now on the physical belts they are. But on the other side of those belts, you've got the Young Bucks.

4:08You've got this reinvigorated Young Bucks who have had this fire lit under them pretty much since all in last year when they lost their EVP status. And it's like when you don't have that status when you're no longer seen as a part of the company from a company perspective, you're now a part of the roster. And this Young Bucks has just been on fire for months and months and months and months now. They can't see it there behind them. They've got the old music back. We're in super kick party mode. And we have Tassels on the gear. We got Tassels on the gear. Like, genuinely, this is the Young Bucks. We all know and love. This is the Young Bucks that we've wanted to see. This is the Young Bucks that we've been fired up to see here in AW and to see these two teams finally go head to head. I keep wanting to say one on one and I'm like, that's not one on one. But it's a tag team match. Yeah, seeing these teams go head to head too on to finally again one more time. I can never get sick of seeing this match and because it's different every single time they always bring something different.

5:12And I see it again this time with FTR being who they are, the Bucks being who they are. I couldn't be more excited for this. It's kind of great that we're seeing like this will be like potentially the record breaking four time champions if the Young Bucks are able to pull us off. And I think it's really important and will correct me if I'm wrong, but we did not get to see the Young Bucks at the crypto.com arena last year. Correct. So we didn't see what the LA crowd would do for one of the greatest tag teams of all time performing in their own backyard in an iconic arena. And I know this to be true because Nick Jackson is a huge LA basketball fan. Yeah. Right. So it just makes sense that we're actually seeing the Young Bucks challenge for titles in such a historic building, right. But on top of that, you have family mixed into this, right. Nick and Jackson, Nick and Matt have always been huge family people. But then when you have FTR pile driving the other Bucks brother and attacking their parents, like it is now personal. So wellness is a match that I hope to see forever and ever and ever.

6:15I think this one kind of has a little bit different with these unique aspects playing into it. So regardless of who comes out of it, I know it's going to be like a great match, but it is kind of interesting kind of seeing how we're going into this one. But I want to move on to one of the singles matches on the card that I'm particularly excited about. I'm excited. I'm excited for you in this one because I have a feeling you'll be in the ring for this one. I have a feeling I'm hoping I'm getting this one. And if you've been paying attention, you know where the sick way goes to. We have Bandito has challenged and brought a little low in a one on one match at revolution this weekend. And I loved this story because this is someone who has watched somebody growing up and has idolized them and is now facing them. And they're all co-workers together, right. This is one of the things that makes wrestling so beautiful is that we're all actually people behind the scenes, right. And I, I've told you personally multiple times how much I love both of these guys as someone who's doing more lucha libre and working more in Mexico and trying to learn Spanish.

7:17Like both of these guys have been extremely helpful to me in my career. So knowing that both of them are getting such a huge spotlight and such a huge historic event. Like this is just going to be awesome because like even though it's lucha libre, they have two very distinct different styles. Bandito is very much a high flyer and broad as much moral of a like technical guy who's very hard hitting. So even then we're departing from the traditional American style, but we're still seeing something completely unique in both of these guys. And I'm just like, oh man, it's hard to always pick a match that I'm most excited about on the card. But this one might have to be the number one. You know, I think for this crowd in LA, I think for the two men involved, I think there's so much excitement around this. And just thinking about how invigorated on dry day has been in this second run here in AEW. And how on fire he's been thinking about the fact that like, you know, this guy's lost one match and it just happened to be the biggest match he could lose.

8:21And losing the hangman getting to the scenario, but otherwise, you know, on dry day, he beats poor Strickland, he beat Kenny Omega. He is on a roll, but at the same time, Bandito, Bandito is the man, you know, we're talking about the ROH World Champion. Like Bandito is there is so much that Bandito brings to the table right now. He was practically, you know, almost first ballot wrestler of the year last year. It is very difficult to argue against Bandito in any scenario except for a scenario where you have on dry day as on fire as he is right now. And that's what you want. You want these scenarios where you can look at these matches and go, dang, I can't pick one here because both of these guys are magnificent. Both of these guys are on fire. Both of these guys deserve to win. And I think this is the type of match that we've also wanted to see. The type of scenario you wanted to see on dry day and in the second run in AEW. And, you know, if what he's done so far is a sign of what's to come.

9:25I am so excited for on dry day, I lead alone AEW. Speaking of matches, we've wanted to see before we take a quick break. I want to talk about this incredible match, which I'm so happy. Like, I just posted all the fire emojis when I saw it finally get announced. But we've got Tony Storm and Marina Shafir facing each other with the caveat that everyone is banned from ringside. And this is actually very, very important because the deathwriters all roll together, right? And Marina Shafir is already one of these people that could honestly not in, like, pay payment side, like in real life could probably kill literally everybody on our roster. Like, she is terrifying human being. You have Tony Storm, who is one of the greatest women who has ever been on our roster and has done an incredible amount to bring awareness to our roster. Yes, exactly. And she's on the cover of our awesome upper deck cards. But we see kind of this story and how it's all played out. More recently in Australia when we, either of these women could have potentially lost their hair. And honestly, Marina would have been even scarier without it, by the way.

10:25Oh, my god. So good, good thing that you took the pin on that one. But if we'll go back to say blood and guts back last year, right? The ending of that match was Mina Shirakawa bleeding in her face in mother's milk as Marina is suffocating her. And Tony compelled to save her lover has to submit for the entire, her entire team. And it is this touching moment and one of the things that I love about wrestling where you get to see the interpersonal relationships between these people build. Knowing that both these women in all of their partnerships that they have, both romantically and platonically backstage, none of them matter here. It's only just these two women who are crazy on different levels. This one's going to be really, really fun. I am so excited for this. I think that when you consider how long this issue has been building between Marina Shirakawa and Timeless Tony Storm.

11:25To see this finally come to a head in the place where Tony Storm's last year had the Hollywood ending. And we've seen her get violent in this very building. But at the same time, you want to get violent with Marina Shirakawa. Oh, buddy. That's going to be nuts. And to know that everybody's banned from rings eye. We won't see orgycacity. We won't see the death writers. We won't see anybody getting involved here. There's no wheeler here. We just get to see Timeless Tony Storm and Marina Shirakawa lock it up. This is going to be crazy. This is going to be killer. I'm so excited for this. And I'm so excited for everything else we've got coming up here on this show. But before we get there, since we were thrown around the Takeshi thing, I guess we should probably talk about the Don Callis family, who now suddenly have world championship belts. We've got Kuzuchko Akata, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis are now the new World Trio's Champions. Which is crazy. It's crazy to think about how effectively Ozzy Open is teaming with Akata.

14:33Isn't that funny? It's wild when you think about how the United Empire was such a strong trio. When you think about Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis. And you think about the original AEW Trio's title tournament that led to the crowning of the World Trio's Champions. And of course, our first ever World Trio's Champions, the Elite. But the people that they originally faced in the tournament was two-thirds of the current Trio's Champions. And so it's like to see these guys do this. I was really happy from Mark Davis. And seeing Kyle Fletcher and Akata and all those guys win the titles. But they took them from a team that was getting so much buzz as a trio. They had only really worked together a few times, but in those few times they were killing it. And that was Jetset Rodeo in Kevin Knight, Speed Ball Bailey, and Hangman Adam Page. And with, of course, Hangman Adam Page challenging for the World title,

15:36which we're going to be talking about here shortly. They had to call in some reinforcements. And those reinforcements came in the form of one of the greatest lucha doors in the history of professional wrestling. And I keep saying the history, but this man is still killing it all around the world. He's killing it in CMLL. He is the man in professional wrestling. He is Mystico. And to see Mystico, Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey. That is a team among teams. Kevin Knight. I mean, look, Kevin Knight has been on an absolute tear since the day he stepped foot in AEW. You've got Speed Ball Bailey who is kind of pound for pound. Just one of the best movers in professional wrestling. It's hard to describe exactly what I mean there. But when I say that way that man gets around a ring, there is nobody like Speed Ball. But then to be on a team with Mystico, the legend himself.

16:36And we're going to be a Los Angeles doing it. I can't think of a better way to kick off the trios. Basically, this new reign of the Don Calis family, then with this match, in a way that they could potentially lose those belts right away. Can we call it a reign of terror because it's the Don Calis family and nobody likes it? Can we say that? I think we can call it that. I've been really fortunate to spend a lot of time in Mexico working with CML recently. And it has 100% reinforced the idea of how important Mystico is to this business. One of the arenas in Sudan, the Mejico, a reno Coliseo, actually has a gigantic banner of all of the major luchadors of all of the different decades. And Mystico is on that banner. To see him on our show is an honor whenever it does happen. He just means so much to so many people, especially in Mexico.

17:36So it is an honor to have him on our show. But also just to see him teamed up with the likes of Kevin Knight and Speed Ball Bailey. It's like this is a dream match in reality. I didn't ever in my wildest dreams think that this would happen. But I work here. So of course it did because we just make dreams come true all the time. And I think that's the thing I'm most excited about this match. Like I know it's going to be great. We have Kyle Fletcher, who's one of our biggest homegrown stars. We've got Mark Davis, who is on an absolute tear. We've got Ocata, one of the greatest wrestlers to ever come out of Japan. We have the biggest names internationally in this match. And then we've got these guys who are relatively new to our audience. And all of them together are just going to make a beautiful symphony of wrestling. Yeah, I agree. I think the thing that I worry most about right now is that I just don't want to see the Don Calis family with any more gold. And so if we can, we can take some gold away from those guys. I mean, look, I really like Kyle Fletcher with the pink championship.

18:37But if we can just, just take a little bit away from those guys. I would, I would like to see that. So I know I'm supposed to be unbiased here. But I would love to see Mr. Co and Jet Speed walk away with those titles. Right? Like, I don't have stripes on right now. So I don't have to be biased. Like, I'm going to say that right now. My job is to start to the belt rings. So for right now, I'm rooting for Jet Speed and I'm rooting for Mr. Co. I'm also going to be very straightforward and honest and say, I'm rooting for former AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page as he challenges the current champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman in a Texas death match, which we all know this is Hangman Adam Page's wheelhouse. This is what he did at AEW all in Texas. This is how he won the title from John Moxley. He has had multiple experiences with the Texas death match format in the past and has seen multiple, multiple successes come out of that. It's also just one of those matches where we have no idea what's going to happen.

19:38A dude hides a fork in his boot and suddenly that's okay. Yes. But at the same time, like MJF is somehow just one of the most dastardly assholes I've ever met and somehow out of nowhere ended up getting this championship as he was challenging against three other people and now he's facing everyone's favorite homegrown star in Hangman Adam Page. And I'm just going to be straight up and honest and say, I really hope Hangman kicks this. Well, you know, one of the issues we run into here is that if Hangman doesn't, that's it. He has promised to not challenge again for the AEW World Championship. He has put his back against the wall here, but he's done it in a match he feels confident in. Texas death match. Yeah. And the cool thing about Texas death is it's kind of a match that belongs to Hangman Adam Page. It's a match that he hasn't been in every single one of them in AEW, but he has definitely made a name for himself in dominating that match. In a way where, you know, it's a match that a lot of people associate the match with either him or John Moxley and like, but John Moxley hasn't won.

20:38As John won any of them. I don't think so. I don't think so. I think it's the blood. It's the violence. I think that's kind of hard. Well, because I was thinking about the first one in AEW. And John lost that one to Lance Archer. And so, like, nonetheless, you know, just thinking about how many of these we've had in AEW. And, but Hangman has made a name for himself in this match. He has defeated the likes of, we talked about Lance Archer. He defeated Lance Archer. He's defeated Adam Cole. He's defeated Christopher Daniels. And we talked about John Moxley. He's defeated John Moxley. But he has lost one of these matches. And it also happened to take place in Los Angeles. And so, that's where I wonder is luck on Hangman's side in Los Angeles when it comes to the Texas death match. Because, again, talking about it, he's lost only one of these matches before. It happened in LA with a great, great LA crowd. And we have one of those coming into play here in Revolution.

21:40But at the same time, he's also had a Texas death match at Revolution that he did win. And so, luck comes into play here. Is it that the Revolution? Is it Revolution or is it Los Angeles? Let's see what it is. But I am very much looking forward to this match. But we got to talk about the fact that MJF, this is a very different title range for him the second time around. This doesn't feel like the MJF of old. This does not feel like an MJF who he's still a coward. But he doesn't seem to want to take the coward's way out. And that seems to be coming into play a lot in this title range. And I think that's one of the things I'm most excited for. It's seeing this new MJF in this setting. You know, talking about a Texas death match against Hangman Adam Page. And again, this could really go either way. And I think with so much on the line with the potential of never seeing Hangman Adam Page challenge for the title again, it's scary. It's very scary because I think everyone at the company and not is a Hangman fan just seeing what he's done at AEW and how far he's comments.

22:46It's really kind of one of those. We're all crossing our fingers hoping that he walks away with that giant gold belt because yeah, I don't know where we're a Hangman can't possibly be the champion. I don't want to exist in it. But I mean, Texas death is violent. But when we talk about violent and dangerous, like we have to talk about that assholes were of Strickland. And I say that asshole because he pulled me into. He did. He did. And you know, well, we. It hurt real bad, dude. Like, let me see. Yes. Yeah. You mentioned on this show being quite bruised. Like you got hit by a bus. But you know, we were talking about Swarth Strickland. And you know, we were just talking about the Texas death that Hangman lost in Los Angeles. And that was two Swarth Strickland. And it's interesting because shortly after that match, as a matter of fact, immediately after that match, Swarth Strickland was then involved in the Continental Classic. And you know, we do these post Continental Classic promos every single time we do them.

23:47We do these post match promos. And I remember. Shout out to Zane. And literally the best part about these is that Zane will just get right in their face and just, you know, just go. And in the process of doing that in the 2023 Continental Classic, Swarth Strickland, he's feeling himself. He was feeling good. He had just one Texas death. And he was on a roll in this Continental Classic. He really had only lost one singles match. That was the John Moxley. And he turns to the camera. And he just says, I am the most dangerous man in AEW. And he just said it. It was just a thing that just came out of his mouth. And all of a sudden now, it's a slogan. It's a nickname. It's a catchphrase. It's on his t-shirts. It's literally in his music. In his theme song, it's just the thing he said in a Continental Classic promo. And it grew into being a part of his identity. But there's one other man who could possibly hold the title for being most dangerous man in AEW. And that is Brody King. Kenny Omega said it himself that he felt that Brody King is the most dangerous man in AEW.

24:49And here we now have these two men going one on one. There can only be one. Who is the most dangerous man in AEW? Is it still worse, Strickland, who made that point to Kenny Omega when he drove his head through the announce table with the God killer. And now Brody King, Brody King on the other hand, has been on a tear. Pretty much all of 2026. He pinned the AEW world champion in very, very short fashion. And he has definitely proven to be more dangerous than anybody. And so when we're talking about danger, we're talking about who makes their opponents tremble. Who makes who are you afraid to step in a ring with? And if you went up and down the roster and asked who the answer to that question is, they'd probably say Brody King. I do not want to step in a ring with that guy. But the second you answer that, a man is going to take offense to that and that's worse, Strickland.

25:53And that's exactly what's leading this issue here. Who is the most dangerous man in AEW? I think this is going to be a fight. I think this is going to be nasty. These guys have, you know, I was going up and down their history together. And I had actually been talking with Brody King and he was telling me about the match where he felt he broke out as an indie performer. And it was against Swarth Strickland. And now to see these guys have made it where they've made it where they don't neither feels like the same guy. You go back and look at their indie matches. And it's like, who are those guys? Neither of those guys even remotely look anywhere near the same people. And now here we have these two going one-on-one on pay-per-view in Los Angeles and Brody King's backyard. I think this match stands a chance at, I'll probably say this more throughout the show. But this match stands a chance at stealing the show simply by the way of the level of violence these two can hit.

26:53And there's no stipulation on this. It's not like this is a Texas death match like we just talked before. This is just two guys who love violence and have the potential to get violent with each other. It's pride, which honestly makes it like more important almost because it's like what you truly believe in, right? And I know that having worked here as long as I have, there are very few iconic images as burned into my brain as Brody King hanging someone outside of the ring as they slowly, slowly, slowly lose ability to breathe. So knowing that and having that scene, whether it was Darby, whether it was Max, whoever it was, knowing that we're, you know, high potential for that going into this weekend. I'm kind of excited. And again, not one strip right now, kind of shooting for Brody on this one. Like really, really like Brody to kick Swerve's ass, not that I have a grudge or anything against him right now. Just kind of put that out there. But anyway, this is a great time. I love talking about all the paper views. I'm already excited about this weekend and then talking to you about it gets me even more excited.

29:57It is the Continental Championship on the line. John Moxley defending the title against this man joining us right now. He is the one and only Cunoscay to catch the thank you for being here. This is so excited to have you here. Hi, how are you guys? How are you guys? Good. How are you guys? I'm very good. I'm so excited that you're here. I want to talk about the fact that you defeated John Moxley in the Continental Classic. But then Moxley then defeated you at Worlds In. So let's talk about how you're prepared to take the victory and basically take on the Continental Championship. Yes, so first I think I have faced John Moxley maybe about five times now. Then I remember the first two times I passed out from his bulldoping choke. So first time I tried a tap out, but I was little too late.

31:00So by the time I tapped, I had already passed out. The second time I decided I wouldn't give up again. So I kept fighting, but in the end, Larry had to stop the match. And when the referee stopped it, I had already passed out. That's why his submission is always very dangerous. So I need to clear his submission again. But maybe now I was growing up. So I was more bigger than last time. So I could take his belt. Wonderful. And we know that you've been a part of the Don Calis family for a while now. Unfortunately, we all kind of hate Don. What role, if any, has Don Calis played in your preparation for this match? Yes, so I hope that next next match, I don't need Don Calis helping.

32:01Because yes, because that continental rule. And I hope I believe by myself. So I believe I can beat him up next time. I don't need Don Calis. I love it. We already don't need Don. I honestly, we have it needed him for quite a long time. But to know now that we are in a scenario where we're not going to see Don Calis, this is the continental championship on the line. You couldn't ask for anything better. But during the continental class, do you think John Moxley adjusted to you the second time around? Yes, so John is always like a... He is so vibrant. You know, it's very dangerous guy. But I'm lucky because I debut in Japan. So Japanese wrestling style is always like a...

33:04Bachi-bachi style, it's called Bachi-bachi style. It's like a real knuckle, real chop, real kicks, my face. So I remember that Alessso with Tenlu, Tenlu is legendary Japanese wrestler. When I was 18 years old, Alessso was him. Then like my nose fracture, like a very brat, because he punched my face, real punched my face, and he kicks my face, and he chop on my throat. So that was very hard experience for me, because I was too young. But now, good experience for me, because if I take very hard something stuff,

34:05but I've never given up. Of course. Every time I watch Japanese wrestling, I'm just like, ah, too much, too much. They're hitting too hard. You're fully prepared for someone that is as violent as John Moxley. So let's say... Yes. So let's say you defeat John Moxley at Revolution this Sunday. What does that say about you and where you stand in AEW? Yes. Like, if I get AEW Intercontinental Classic Champion or like International Champion, I like Continental style, because it's just wrestling. So then I need to go to Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling or DVD.

35:06So if I bring Champion belt, AEW Champion belt, like I can show Japanese Wrestling Fund, this is AEW Wrestling Style. So I want to do that. You're a triple contract man, I forgot. Well, and that's one thing I wanted to ask you about is... You know, you can add to your collection because you are actually currently the New Japan World Television Champion. Yes. And so, you know, what will it mean to you to add to your collection of championships to be able to walk around with both the World Television Championship and the Continental title? Yes. So, of course, now I have a New Japan TV title. So, of course, I want to wrestle like using New Japan TV Championship in AEW.

36:11Of course, if I get AEW Championship like one day, I wrestle the Championship, AEW Championship in New Japan or as a promotion like a DDDT. Sometimes, maybe TJPW, I don't know. But now, I have three contracts so I can do anything, everything, you know. Yeah, I mean, this guy here, he is anything and everything. Kenosuke Takesha has been an incredible part of our roster, getting to see him grow into the person he is and seeing his very hard hitting and violent style. I know that every time he's on a pay-per-view card, it's always very exciting and thrilling. And I'm very much looking forward to your match this weekend, sir. Best of luck with you. 37:11which first time on this podcast, by the way. Very exciting. I know he's a busy guy with those three contracts. Glad we got him locked down. And I'm even more excited for his match this weekend. Speaking of matches, I'm excited about, we have for the first time ever happening in the Women's Division. We have a two out of three falls match. The AEW Women's World Championship, toxic tecla, defending against Staddaddy herself, Chris Stadlander. I got to be a part of their incredible match, where the title did change last time. And Stadlander lost the title to tecla in a strap match. And I left for the airport to go to Australia, completely covered in Stadlander's blood, true story. Chris Stadlander and healthless championship for nearly five months after, you know, surprise pinning Tony Storm in a four way that actually did include tecla back at WrestleDream. So to see kind of the two of them actually come back at each other and to see tecla best Stadlander in this setting. It's, this is one of those things where tecla is still relatively new to AEW. If you look at the grand scheme of everyone on our Women's roster,

38:12but she's just, she makes so much sense with that title. She's got this bravado, she's got this charisma, she has this belief in herself that is just exactly what you would expect to see out of a champion. And I think her walking into this match, even though it's something that is unique and different, it hasn't been done before, she's, she's honestly, I think, has the attitude that makes her extremely prepared for this. I, I 100% agree, specifically with the fact that, oh my God, has nobody taken off with AW fans quicker than tecla. Nobody seems to get it like tecla does. When I see her with that microphone, and when I see her just commanding the screen the way she does, and you're right, that championship no offense to anybody who's held it before. But my God, the way that that championship just looks around her way, she looks and presents and feels like a champion. And, you know, I think all of that said,

39:12has to be putting a chip on Chris Statlander's shoulder because the fact is that Chris Statlander was a fighting defending world champion and worked so hard and for so long to even get an opportunity at that title, let alone to hold it as long as she did. And I don't think she's going to take it lightly that you've got tecla walking around with this title and with so much provato. And again, like I said, just literally calling everybody bitches. Yeah, and she's been so good at it. And like I said, you could just hear these crowds responding to her. Although, shame on you fans in Tucson for the what chance. We don't do that here. But nonetheless, but nonetheless, yeah, I think tecla has been just marvelous with that title. And to see a two out of three fall setting, they, I think, could potentially kill this thing. I think they could potentially steal the show in being in a two out of three fall setting.

40:13We've never seen this before. And to have two women as talented as these two are in the ring, I think, again, you know, every time we come across a match on the show, I've said it multiple times just in this episode that this match could steal the show. But this is one that very much could steal the show being a two out of three falls match. And what I love about the two out of three falls scenario is that it has to produce a winner. And we will produce a winner for the AEW Women's World Championship this Sunday. AEW Revolution. It is live. It is on pay-per-view.
