0:00Adelaide tram riders need to plan ahead for the Easter long weekend. Starting Thursday, April 2nd, through Monday, April 6th, no trains will run between Mosley Square and Keyspots like the Entertainment Center, Botanic Gardens, and Festival Plaza. This shutdown lets crews finish vital safety upgrades and track work. These improvements are part of the bigger tram grade separation projects. Workers are installing safety screens on the new South Road Overpass and handling essential maintenance to make rides smoother and safer down the line. Adelaide Metro says it's all about long-term reliability. Commuters won't be stranded though. Replacement buses will cover all the tram routes during the closure. On Friday, April 3rd, expect ramped up bus services to handle crowds from the AFL game between Adelaide and Fremantle and Adelaide Oval, plus two. A league soccer matches at Cooper Stadium. This should be back to normal from the first tram on Tuesday, April 7th. The upgrades promise fewer disruptions and better safety for everyone using the network.
