Acuff Jr. Lighting Up March Madness

The 19-year-old guard led the Razorbacks to the southeastern conference tournament title and earned them a number four seed in the big dance. They kick things off against number 13 Hawaii in the first round. Earlier this week, praise kept rolling in for A.Cuff after the ringer's Bill Simmons likened him to Dallas Maverick star Kyrie Irving. CBS sports analyst Gary Parish piled on, calling A.Cuff the top playmaker in the country with his all-around skills. Parish highlighted A.Cuff's eye-popping stats, averaging 22 and a half points and 6 and a half assists per game. He's the first player to lead the southeastern conference in both categories since the legendary Pete Moravitch. In his second-year at Arkansas, coach John Calipari has seen plenty of elite guards during his long career at places like Kentucky and Memphis. Parish says A.Cuff has mashed or topped any of them in just one college season, putting him in rare company without the usual hype of future pros.
