Activists Arrested for Planned Supermarket Theft

0:00On March 5th, 15 activists from the protest group Take Back Power have been arrested in London for allegedly plotting mass shoplifting for major supermarkets. The Metropolitan Police says the group, which is pulled off stunts at the Ritz Hotel and aimed at the Crown Jewels before, cland to steal goods, and hand them out elsewhere. The activists gathered at the Quaker Meeting House in Westminster for what they called non-violent direct action training. That's when offices from the Metz Public Order Corm team stepped in and halted the session. Police arrested them all on suspicion of conspiracy to commit theft, acting quickly to prevent any thefts from taking place across the city. One man has been released on bail, while the other 14 remain in custody at London Police stations as the investigation continues.
