0:00In Sydney today, March 4th, a 65-year-old man named Anthony James Lloyd testified in South Australia's Supreme Court that he threw acid on Jeffrey McLean back in May. 2022, he said he did it because his ex-lover Sheree Glastonbury pushed him the cause permanent harm and forced McLean out of her home. Lloyd explained he felt scared of Glastonbury and feared she would retaliate if he refused. She had message and called him for weeks, claiming McLean was abusive toward her. Deep down, he wanted to help her escape the situation. Their relationship started on a dating app around 2013 or 2014. Lloyd moved closer to her and Adelaide's north and fell hard for the younger woman. But things turned sour with her, accusing him of cheating, hitting him and making violent threats like burning his house down. On the night of the attack, Lloyd waited outside with a bucket of acid and even had WD-40 in a lighter, ready to burn McLean's hands. The two ended up wrestling on the lawn. McLean later went missing in August 2022,
