The star was drafted third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft and wore number 51 during his rookie year. Now he's hinting at a change for the upcoming season. Earlier this week on March 3rd, Carter posted on X that he plans to switch numbers. These are buzzing since his number choices haven't been straight forward from the start. Right after getting drafted, he first asked for number 56. That got shut down because it's retired in honor of Giants legend Lawrence Taylor. He then pushed for number 11, his college number from Penn State. But that was block 2 due to ties with former quarterback Phil Sims and his family.
