It comes just hours ahead of President Donald Trump's deadline for a deal to reopen the Strait of Hamuz, warning that a whole civilisation will die, should an agreement not be reached. Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council has failed to pass a Bahrainian resolution, encouraging states to coordinate efforts to protect commercial shipping in the Strait of Hamuz. The 15 member security council voted 11 in favour of the resolution, with two against and two abstentions. The vote could not pass, as China and Russia exercised their veto powers. On Turkish President, Rajip Tayyip Erdogan has condemned an attack on the Israeli consulate in Istanbul, calling it a heinous act of terror.
