I'm going to close this up here just for privacy. Since it is the daytime now, people are really out and we get people that come in and use the bathroom. Once again, I just don't want people who don't need to really know our business.

03Just kind of like yesterday or this morning or whatever it was, just the ground was our doors unlocked. You can go to the bathroom if you want to stop taking a break whenever you need. Just tell me. Okay. So let me just want to make sure that you're aware of that. You need water, you need your restroom, good to go. Real quick. No guns and knives in the purse, can I just take a quick peek just to make sure I don't trust you, but the ground ready, okay, you make up typical, all right, cool. So like I said, I appreciate you coming down, okay, I know it's probably difficult to get through the day and whatnot. But I just want to see how you're doing and see what's going on and there's some stuff I've got to follow up with, some more questions I want to ask you, and just like I said

06last night, if you don't want to talk, just tell me and we'll go from there. Just a couple of doors down, he's going to talk to Caleb, I don't think he met Caleb. He was the bigger detective that was out there last night when we all showed up because he talked to him. Caleb, I'm sure you're aware of that, okay, but how are you doing, okay, remember I told you last night about, sometimes I'm going to ask him some questions and it's not that I'm insensitive or not caring, but how come you're crying, I don't know what I'm saying. I just want to say like over what, okay, what do you mean by that, okay, okay, okay, did you get any sleep last night on this morning without you, and you get something to eat today this morning, do this from high left you at three o'clock this morning and it's now one so I did think about a clock for me, what's been going on the last 10 hours, tell me about

10that, tell me what, just, just general conversation, I slept and then John was like what's going on and they like couldn't tell me before I went to sleep so I just woke this morning, okay, what did you tell him, you tell him everything, why not, well come on now, okay, I know it's tough and I know it's easy for a lot of people to say I don't know, but now's the time that I need you not to say the I don't know and kind of help us figure out what happened as far as, how come we got to this point, I can't have it and you do a lot of the I don't know, okay, because I just, I need, I need to have some sort of answer so if you didn't tell John the whole story today, why, what were you thinking at that time that you couldn't tell?

12I don't know, I told him everything but I told him what I was telling you first half of the night but she wasn't, she didn't know what it was, okay, so did you classify her, still born or okay, so that's what he knows right now and you didn't tell him anything else, you know you know at some point and probably today you need to tell him he deserves it, you understand that right, I mean looking at him he looks like he doesn't know which way is up, he doesn't have doesn't seem like he has any idea what's going on and you owe it to him, okay, I know, you know I know you guys back in March 2010, you know, you guys were there, you guys went through that horrible ordeal, the Bella and it's just, he needs to have, he needs to know how, I'll help you

13with that today, okay, however I can, why, why did you tell him what you told me in the second half? Because I just, what I told you was me, I just feel like it's disgusting person I don't want to, just heart for me to see it, see it, okay, did you call along, called your family yet? I don't, I wanted to like tell them everything before I know, nothing, I really know it's quite old, you know, what was the last time you talked to Mom about that? Oh yesterday, I talked to my mom, being free for all this or afterwards, just in the morning when we woke up,

13how do you feel about talking with me today? I know I asked you that last night, but are you still okay with talking with me yet? There's some, there's just, I went down to the corner's office this morning and we'll talk about that a little bit, but before I talk about that, the corner and the medical examiner wanted me to just feel a bit more background information on you so maybe they can kind of, you know, in situations like this, it's just not, it's not black and white, you know what I mean, it's just not okay here, there's here, there's, there's some background stuff that they try to, so we can try to figure out and put things together, okay. Have you ever dealt with counseling? Have you ever been training like counseling for your work or anything like that? As far as dealing with the kids and they come with you with problems and stuff like that? What type of counseling or training did you have for that? Just like basic like comments that is training like have the, the kids basically resolve their own issues

17and just ask them questions, you know, like book, who you done differently and stuff like that? Okay, and that's kind of, it's the same premises that I work from, but like I said, the corner was a little bit more background from you, you know, as far as, you know, maybe some, you know, I told them what you told me about birthlars from my own, you, you mentioned that you come from the religious background, family values and all that stuff, can you explain a little bit more as far as where you're coming from on that, just so I can kind of understand as far as, what do you mean? Are you about this Protestant, what, what type of religious background, what, what denomination do you have? I guess Christian, okay. Oh my group, do you know Dr. David Jeremiah's? I don't. Well, I mean, it's like a big church and seeing you go to a group, they're like going every Sunday and all my parents just always said wait for the right one, wait till you're married, you'll be more prevalent, so keep up, so.

18How are your parents back then? Obviously, you don't have, did you have any of the boyfriends before, Javon? I mean, I mean, boyfriends, but like dating type boys, I mean, what, did they ever release, like have a sit down with you and say, if, you know, I mean, they said, you know, just wait till you marry, it's better and stuff. What else did they say about that? Did they give you sternal warnings as far as you better not? Oh, not to make, yeah, like just like what moms do, you know, like, but I think they like kind of knew because they'd spend the night at his house and stuff like that. Well, I mean, I haven't always been mad, you know, I mean, yeah, you know, but, you know, my oldest girls, I have two older girls, one's 19, one's 21, okay, because they don't live in the home, but I don't need to ask them if they're, you know, doing stuff. I mean, that's pretty, I mean, you know, people are relationships and when they're doing stuff like that, so it's

19and as parents, we even know it more so because you act differently, you dress differently, you talk differently, you know, stuff like that. So a lot of that just had, you know, parental intuition. Yeah. What are you going to think, what do you think mom's going to say when you tell her the whole truth? Have no idea. I would think about it all day. I don't know. Do you think she's going to come on glue? She's pretty, pretty mellow. I mean, I don't know her. She's nice lady. How about that? Well, that's a concern for me. Okay, I, the other part of me is you don't need to be taking a bunch of key from people. You're already going through hard enough time. I just, if they call me, I mean, after you tell them, they call me. I kind of want to know what I'm getting into. You know what I mean? What, what do they do for work?

22Um, they're both teachers made up, high school, my mom's preschool. Okay. So, and it's a Christian school or is it public school? Some read others that public my mom works at Christian. Okay. I mean, so, you know, it's probably not going to be too far fetched from, for either one of them here, and you know, she were pregnant and I'm married. That's not going to, that's not going to shock their senses, because that's common. I get, I get to see them say, well, it's my girl. When were you adopted? When I was two. Okay. Do you know much about your, by-o mom or by-o family? Just thought, um, when she got a ton of drugs and she was pregnant with me and he was born with a lot of drugs inside of me. And then, um, CPS took me away and I was in foster care from when I was born to always two. And then I got adopted. So, you know, you had a closed adoption?

23A closed adoption. Have you ever met your grandma? So, I mean, when I came into my stepdaughter's lives, one of them was two of them was four. I mean, that's pretty much mom and dad for you. I'm here 23 now. How was home life? You don't have this little girl? Um, it was like normal, like a, you know, typical suburban family. Deciprod, Deciprod, Deciprod family had, you know, middle class, had money to be able to do stuff. I imagine you probably weren't living in power. You wanted to see how, like, the playground being in the back, like, you know, in a neighborhood? Christmas time, there was plenty of guests. I mean, the other thing kids always want more, but it wasn't like, only had, well, I mean, that's the prototypical or the standard, you know, decent upbringing.

24I'm going to ask you something, probably even more personal. Have you ever been sexually assaulted or molested as a girl by anybody? Because if that, if you have, and you haven't told me about it, I want you to tell me about it now. So, how about as an adult, have you been raped or anything, nothing like that? So, as far as that type of life, as far as sexual experiences go, would you characterize them as been a good thing? You know what I mean? As far as not having any bad experiences, other than... You know what? It sucks to be bored. But when I get on my phone and play real casino games on spinquest.com, the time flies by, that two-hour wait at the DMV seems like 10 minutes. And I got members last night and I told you, I'm asking people asking a lot of questions in me as far as what's going on. So that's where a lot of this is coming from because, you know, I have a list of things I want to ask you. And it's just kind of where I'm coming from. And you're doing a really good job, okay. I know it's tough, but it's something I just kind of get through. And we talked about this last night and just to confirm, this has been your your main job for the last three years. And what did you do before that? Um, it worked. A salon? A board shop, yeah. A board shop in the salon. Like a surfboard shop? What did you do there? Was it a self-substant? Oh, that was pretty cool.

30I mean, do you ever surf yourself? No. Body, bodyboard? Why would you do it all the time? Now, last, you said that you'd spent one year in the Joliet Academy or in the school? When you're seven or ten months? You spent 17 months in there. Mm-hmm. It sounded like you had a decent upbringing. How come you got put in the school? What happened? My parents are real teachers and I was getting decent apps, like into my sophomore year, like, beginning of my junior year. And they just thought I had like a lot of issues with my adoption because I was so, like, kind of distant from them, but just, it's just like a teenager. I didn't, like, I've always looked at them as my parents and the number thought of them as anything different, but they kind of did just because I just went away, kind of. You're shocked when you were, you were, like, 13? 15? 15? 15? Teenage girl and no offense. I have two,

32I've got two and go through my house. You know, stand by. It's freaking chaotic. And what it is, it correct me if I'm wrong. What I'm here is that did your mom and dad think that whatever the 15-year-old teenage girl stuff was contributed to your, did you ever talk to them, say, mom, dad, that's not it. I'm just, I'm a teenage girl. Did you guys ever have those conversations? Um, no, because I didn't really, like, like, them or talk to them at all. And I was like 15 or 16. They want anything to do with them. What? They annoyed me. I don't know. Okay, why? Just because they're my parents and I was like, they never touched off the hall. I never kissed a boy. I was like, I was such a goody-goody and I kind of didn't want to be and that's how I rebelled if was being mean to them. Like, I never went to parties or anything. I just was mean to my parents.

37I'm sorry. I break them all in my own rules, but I don't know. Have you been back up with the Academy today? Have you had any contact with anybody up there? No. Does anyone have a girl's college you to check? Or, well, I have your phone. Have any of them called Jalam to ask about you? Just, like, would you offer what? You check emails, Facebook, you do that kind of stuff. I mean, no one's, no one's done anything. I went checked.

38When I was down talking with the corner, I told myself, you know, I was trying to get water. And they, and I could have remembered. I remember you saying that you were put some water on your finger just to try to dip it in the mouth and on the tongue. What, how else did you try to provide water? Um, I just tried, like, with the cup, but I didn't want to choke, right? So, like, I could sit around and just try and have a drink out of that, but it just wasn't working. And so I just, like, tried with my finger, it's constantly. And any milk products, like cow milk, goat milk, and I know we talk about breast, but did you ever think that you had a latch on where she was able to ever breastfeed? Like, if she actually got milk, um, like, that clear stuff, but I wasn't, like, producing, so it was just like, uh, because of clear stuff, but first day or so, it's not really nutrition. It's just, you know, you know, you never think of kind of priming itself. So, and you used to really didn't start getting your milk in until a few days later, until after she passed,

40right? The days when she was with us, talked to me about some of her clothes, diapers, stuff like that. What did you have? I just had her blanket. I'd be there after she went to the bathroom and stuff like that, and I just put her in my blanket. So, how many, how many times should you go poop? Do you know? Two or three times, I think? She probably had that first one, the big black one. Did you get that one? Yeah. Yeah, that's normal. Are you, you know that? Okay. Yeah, it's the body, you know, going from being inside the mom state to going outside, you need to be able to black tar type poop, and that goes on for the first couple of days or whatever, then as they start to eat, they start to regulate, usually turns like, it's usually getting there and stuff, but... I never got to, like, normal color. It was always like that black color.

43Black color. And how about urine? Um, I know, I don't remember. Okay. I know it's tough. Okay. I see your dress again today. Those look like different tights or different leggings. Is that, I mean, is this your normal style of the dress? Yeah. Do you usually wear like both clothes on the upper portion and whatnot? And then that, I mean, still, because when we talked last night, you told me you didn't have to change your dress per se. And is that how you were, I'm not going to put words about, is that how you're able to conceal, I mean, your belly? Let me ask you this. I mean, I know all women do it when you're naked and you look, do you ever look in the mirror to yourself to see how you looked? Look, yeah. Okay. And I mean, how'd you look? I mean, I mean, obviously you had a belly or...

43Well, I didn't start showing until, like, like, when I, I'm just, I don't remember. But, I was like, home real time and everything. I was like, I might get, like, my pregnant, I don't know. And then I just started feeling the kicking and that was when, like, I started noticing, like, my stomach and stuff. But I just thought I was like eating meat normally. When you're up at the, now, we talked a little bit about your background as far as, you know, maternity stuff, basically what you learned in school. Now, when you had Bella, okay, Javon was aware of that and he was part of that, yes. Did you guys, how many classes did you go to as far as parenting classes? Or what did you do to prepare for that? Oh, I hid that pregnancy from him too. Like, he didn't know until I went to the hospital.

48So, the night that you went to the hospital the first time you knew? But during that pregnancy, you, how did you care for yourself? Did you take any prenatal then? Did you google what to do for a baby as far as, you know, health wise? What you should be doing? Stuff like that. Are you from anybody? Mm-hmm. Is that me? I think so. I just, like, started eating healthy like more greens and stuff like that. I think, like, could it take any bite of extra vitamins or anything? You're still doing the alcohol consumption, then? Yeah. Go ahead. If you need more, let me know. After, after the baby passed, and I'm just recapping here, okay? Tell me, yes or no?

51You kept her in the laundry basket in the sheets in the pillows and kept her in your room over by the closet, over by your, your stuff. And that's where she stayed for a better part of a month and a half, stayed there the whole time. How many times a day did you check on her? You know what I mean? Even though she's passed. Did you just leave her there? I kind of looked at her and I was like so ashamed. I didn't look. Friday, you find out your stuff's been tampered with or moved with. And it sounds to me, like the girls were maybe looking for some clothes or a blanket or something. And then I was saying that he realized, oh crap. Right? Yeah. Take what time or when did you have the opportunity to move her from the bedroom to the storage area? Um, I think what came up from Juman's at night and I realized that it was like sitting and

51making her wake up and then I went to sleep and I just woke up super early and took her home and before I went to work. And that's where she'd been ever since? Yeah. How many times did you go back to check on her in the laundry room to make sure she was still there? I just, like, peaked my head in just to see if I get one move, did there anything? Just cycle on through twice. Now, what are the girls that were up there? They talked to you that Friday night. Tell me about that. Wait, if you talked to me, you were Saturday night. Saturday night, yeah. Nothing about anything like that. What did they talk about? Just normal work stuff and you went out. You know, really normal. Did they confront you about the baby or anything? Is any one of them going to tell me the other ones? Yeah. Okay.

55Who all prior to Juman in the last couple of weeks? Who all, I mean, and I guess I put it this way. If you hid the pregnancy and nobody had any idea, you deserve an Oscar for keeping it in for so long. I'm not being rude or disrespectful, but it's real tough to hide that kind of stuff. I don't care who you are. And like I said, you said you're a very girl. You're not. Okay, you're, I mean, you're an oversized girl. How did you do that without having anybody? No. And that's the baby who's born. I know I talked to you about the crying. I mean, how did, how did nobody hear or, did you ever say, is there a baby? Are there any other babies up there? Are there any other little kids up there? Like families and stuff? Did you ever hear Skettle Bud or, you know, great fine that I were the baby crying at all in those three or four days?

So you go back to work at seven and you took her to that vacant residence the first day. When you were working the first day, you took her, where did she stay while you were working? In that apartment. In that apartment? Okay. Where out in the apartment did she stay out? There's just a lot of, there's two of them in far left room.

02Okay. Stayed in the basket or stay on the floor or stay in the bed or what? Stayed in like a bunch of blankets and like me, like a barrier around her. Just so she'd come to work. What, I mean, so she was just, she didn't have any clothes on, she was just in the sheets. Okay. How many times will your intervals going back check in on her to make sure she was comfortable? I spent the night there because I'd leave the ones at 12 because we had a curfew and then I'd go to my house for a little bit and then I'd sneak over there and stay there probably to like four in the morning and go out to sleep in my room and then just check on her as often as I could. Okay. So Wednesday, you got to work what? Five on a Wednesday? No, nine PM. Nine PM. So you work from seven to nine? Yeah. And then two breaks.

02You go check on her, you get off work and then you stay over from your bonds till what midnight? Yeah. Go back to your place. Go sleep with her for a couple hours, go back to your place and get back up to work the second day. Go check on her. Okay. So now we're up to Thursday. And I think that's the day that you told me that you found her. Oh, which I go, okay. And I found her after work on Thursday. Dead? What did you do at that point? Probably with my ex-old. And I put her in my car and I was like, what am I going to do? And then I just put her on. I just carried the blankets in the tomato room and then my basket was in my room. And that's where she's been ever since the toes we could be.

03And I know I keep asking you and I got why. Why didn't you just get help? Why didn't she just bite the bullet and just say, I need help, I need to tell somebody that I have a baby. She's not going to be the biggest answered question that anyone's ever going to have. Your mom's going to ask that. Why did you, your mom's going to ask, why did you call me? What are you going to, and I can't have it, I don't know. I mean, at that point, you made the decision not to. And I need to know why. It was just like cigarette and so many things are running through my head. And I didn't want to put you on through this again. And he's like so much going on in his family. And I didn't want to bring something else into it. And just stupid reason, like, has.

13Looking back, what should you have done? Not have sex. That would be, I'm trying. That's looking a lot further back. Came to the hospital or something other than what I did. You mentioned that you started driving to Chico or you were going to go to Chico one night. How far, and I don't think we finished. How far did you get down with more road? Or did you even get far? Tell me about that. It got like two, where the yellow one begins, you know. Oh, okay, down there by Bateman or on my turn road. And then you stopped there and stayed with her that night down the side of the road or what? No guys they woke up really thought morning. That was Monday morning.

19And I just stayed with her until like noon. Where did you stay? Side of the road. Side of the road down there. What, just like on like the dirt path, they just they pulled over. They're just like holding her and stuff. And then you came back. Did she stay with you in your room? No, I put her in the apartment thing. Oh, okay. So even on your days off, she kept her in the apartment. Well, because you still have roommates and people around. And you just kept pushing, just keep pulling back and checking on her. Did you stay with her during the night on your days off? Just like the same of what I did on my days off. Okay, so that was pretty much the same schedule? Yeah. Midnight, Javans, Quebec, go in and be up and then just check on her throughout the day.

25It's at some point you had to say to yourself, what I am doing is not right. Did you ever have one of those moments? Tell me about it. Well, like when I was dragging back up, I was like, what are you doing? Like, I needed to go, but I couldn't. I know it is like, I'm under a goal, but I just know what to do. So I just say, go away until my mouth comes in and figure something. I don't know. I just think he was the only one with things. All right. What was the question? So at some point you had to realize you had a little self-revelation of what you're doing was not the right thing to do, and that you needed to do something. And then I guess my question is, why didn't you? Jessica.

28I mean, come on, listen to it. Why didn't you do something? Why didn't you take her to the hospital? Why didn't you take her to the hospital for a while? Why didn't you take her to the hospital? No. Why didn't you name her? Oh, I mean that's your baby. She named Bella. You know. Why did you name this one? I don't know. They didn't want to be attached and go through what she did at the last time. just tell me okay I don't want I don't have to sit here and pull I mean I know a lot of the answers are just coming from you okay but you're making it harder on both of us today okay why are you the neighbor do you like like if I named her then it was like real I don't know it's like just like a bad dream to me and I didn't want to think about it after like after it's a little

31over just thinking about a name and stuff like that but I don't know like oh I don't feel like I can name her after like what he did to her you know what you do to her I didn't take care of her I didn't I wouldn't step up I didn't but you didn't name her before all that you didn't you didn't have her name before you gave birth and we're not talking about I'm not naming her after birth you had no name as long yes or no just good I you wanted to plan on keeping you can bear to give her up for adoption you can bear to keep her for yourself because of maybe public scrutiny and I mean I'll be real honest with him but I'm sorry I and I've seen

35this before probably just let her die and do away with her and that they would they know that I tried I tried to give you I'll give you that and I think part of that is because I'd imagine hearing those cries okay it's bad enough when you have a healthy baby you're taking care of it and to hear those cries but when you doubt it you're detaching yourself separating yourself from there's still a maternal instinct okay that's your baby and the baby cries you heard you heard inside whether it's slots or live dealers spinquest.com has the fun and action you're looking for with spinquest exclusives blackjack roulette bockara and even live dice with crabs and bubble crabs the games never stopped so you don't have to and right now new users get $30 coin packs for just ten bucks play now at spinquest.com spinquest is a free to play social casino

45we're just trying to get her water just to not fill the pain of you i mean what that's why i need to know that i need to know that yeah what i understand i don't know i can't have i don't know i know you're in a bad position i know i can't imagine i can't imagine how bad you feel okay you're not the worst person in the world there's a lot more worst person in this world okay but when i go back to my boss and he asks well why did this happen you're leaving me only one choice but the time she let the baby die because she didn't want to do anything else about it

51i think that's true okay then tell me something else because i mean that's where we're at i was scared and i didn't just didn't know what to do like they didn't i didn't know how to walk into a hospital with like a friend baby you know how to take care of kids up there you don't have a call to police for help you call them runaways the car you car got broken into or something didn't a couple months ago or some of yeah okay you you knew that you knew to call for that stuff okay okay you you knew i mean i just i'm not trying to be a mean i'm not trying to be rude but you got to understand what i'm coming from you knew you knew what to do you're smart girl you're educated i mean you you got kids in your family you know nieces nephews i mean you know

57i just want to know why we did and i don't want to have other people come to their own conclusion or make their own assumptions about it because it's best that it comes from you so maybe some people can understand otherwise they may say you know what she didn't give it care i guess she is i guess people could say it's hardless she's cold i don't want to think that but if you take yourself and put yourself in my position or put yourself like that you know on the outside looking in what do you how do you think that looks you feel it you've already told me you feel like you're an older person did you cover her to muffle the cries

00did you hold her too tight to make her be quiet no no were you physically with her when she passed you know what i mean by that have you ever been with somebody when they passed away since since the day she died what what's been going on with your personal life so going out hang out what's going on let me light more on you light i'll take her to and cry myself just safely like the first couple weeks then i don't know

06there was one day i just like couldn't stop crying and to music ask me what was wrong in jibana like i wanted to tell them so bad but you don't know how long ago was that did uh alohondra a quarry ever talk to you about that i mean the last over weekend about Friday night no because alohondra is back back down in San Diego and the quarry is still up there okay let me go check with jibana to see what they got going on and then i'll be right back okay i'll be using your restroom to the water and get some water feel free okay

10i'm good bathroom breaking it all right okay you need to you need to give it up okay this is this is going down a road that's not good okay and i think you know the concerns that we have okay okay how much water because i frankly just can and you didn't take care of it okay when you're giving her water how many times a day did you give her water like every time you visit her okay so like so how long would you visit her at the time okay okay walk me through my day day she was born walk me through what time of the day i something make her with her and then i woke up and went to sleep in my room for like

16hours and then they went like they woke up and i was like you got a tipper so then i went down and then i just saved my card until like 12 and then i'm in the afternoon right yeah okay and then it's like okay what are we gonna do with that or so then i took her to the apartment and then i tried feeding her like breastfeeding her and then i wasn't working but she was just like sleeping so then i tried to feed her water and then i left her i was probably there to like three when i went and shower and i did laundry because of like stuff everywhere and then i went back and um she was like still sleeping and she's just like awake a lot like she didn't really she was like fuzzy a little bit she didn't really cry a lot like that first day um i tried to feed her again and then first that was the first time she

25pooped was like that night um and then i bathed her in the sink and then i tried to give her water and then and just like the little times like that you know how much and that's all in the Monday and when you you're given her baths at the apartment or in your place the vacant one yeah is that where most of your interaction occurred with her as far as bathing her given her water and spending time with her did you ever spend time with her back at your place why because i didn't want you to sleep so that Monday night how long how long did you leave her at overnight and would eat like by yourself um we went to an amount and at like five and then came back up um was that tonight to winco that Monday night

27you went to winco that night okay i just i mean that's not i'm not asking you i'm telling you to went to winco that night what did you buy at winco you won't jump on okay so i mean 12 hours after 14 hours after you have the baby you go to writing what you're on to winco do you remember that night yes what did you get at winco that night um well our friends go like by writing all around so i just walk up the hall okay what did you buy for the baby nothing okay so then you go to winco where do you go from there we like write bikes and then we get back at like two or three and then i dropped you one on from living over there and just went back to my house like forget everything you had planned for
