A number is called the story of those 80s and believe in analytics. This is a numbers game with Kill I like Xander. Good Tuesday morning. Toot is a numbers game and visa in these sports betting network. Visa.com game plus I hard radio YouTube TV. Of course, here's XM Channel 158. Kill I like Xander. Kelly Bidlin. Hey, oh, good morning. Producer number nine. So much more than a producer in the house. Yes, sir. Of the morning after the natty. Oh, yeah. Congratulations to all who have the Indiana Hoosiers futures tickets. Way to get it done. What a ball game last night. Yeah. The first half ended up being by the way. We'll talk college hoops with Jim Root coming up. NHL with Jake Khan. Some Premier League with Paul Carr. Jeff Erickson on the NFL conference championship weekend. And Drew Dinsick on the same plus NBA stuff. Jimmy Butler blowing out his knee or the dubs. Got me the cover last night kill, but that's a concerning long term. That's for sure. But we will we will dive into the college football national championship
game last night, which for one half of football, let's be honest, was kind of like. Oh, this is. Yeah. This is kind of bad watch. And then oh boy. Oh boy. What a what an absolute. It lived up to the hike. That's all you could say in the end. It started out again in the first half. It was kind of ho hum. Second time Indiana had the ball first in 20 at their own 19. Mendoza Omar Cooper Jr. for 25 two plays later to Elijah Sirot for 10 two plays later. Riley Noah Kowski for nine. Three plays after that. Klon Black for seven led to a Niko Raditch. It's 34 yard field, though, as the Miami defense held in that respect. Couple times later, Indiana had the ball up three to nothing from their own 15 to Sirot for 12 to start later. Third six at their own 43. P.I. called on O.J. Frederic. Checking Sirot. Three snaps later after off sides on Bane. They get a reprieve. Third Nade at the Miami 43. Klon Black for 22 plays after to Charlie Becker for 15 to the five three plays later.
Noah Kowski in from one 10 to nothing. Hoosiers with six 13 left in the second quarter a 14 play 85 yard drive that took 644 off the clock. And at that point, the Hoosiers had as many plays on that drive as Miami had to that point the game. Miami then third and one at their own 34 Fletcher stuff for no gain fourth and one at their own 34. Fletcher barely gets it. Then back to CJ Davis for 25 four plays later. Fourth and two at the Indiana 32. And Mario Krista ball and company is chew going for it. They roll out Carter Davis for a 50 yard for field. We'll try going off the right upright. And then Indiana kind of made a mess of the clock at the end of the first half with 33 seconds left from their own 32 and two timeouts. They played it weirdly. They ran heavy for six. They just let the clock roll. And then Mendoza hit becker for 12 and all of a sudden they're like, oh, it would call time out with three seconds left. And they just had a Hail Mary left which failed. That was weird. Add halftime. Signeti's telling Holly were very like in detail.
They committed three rough in the panel. Rough in the passer penalties on one drive. None were called. He was very specific about his grapes. Yeah. I was love Signeti Kurt Signeti talking about it. By the way, halftime stats 169 to 69 in total yards in favor of Indiana. 11 first downs to three 10 to nothing. Hoosiers. I do love it. I don't care if it's the basketball coach or the football coach. The not only are they the refs missing this what they're specifically missing. Whenever you can detail that it's just really an extra an extra jab. You really get it more than we usually get out of this. Yeah. I really just wish one time some coach would be like dead honest. Like just have truth serum and not care about anything. You know, like a blowout. Let's say like a 24 to nothing blowout at the half and believe coach. Well, what do you got to do to keep it? Keep this lady. Well, they're they're not a very good football team. They're pretty sorry. I will just you know, I wish you had that. I just keep doing it. Yeah. Ten to nothing at the half in favor of Indiana. Xavier Luke is now back from suspension for the hurricanes. Indiana now about to be off the field on third and 17 to start the third quarter.
But Armando blunt pulls the face mask of Kayla on black. Gave the Hoosiers a new set of downs at that point. You're like, man, this is just not Miami's night. But Indiana had a punt anyway. Miami then second place. Second and nine at their own 43 Fletcher burst through for 57 to the house. Touchdown canes and it's 10 to seven. 10 to seven Hoosiers just like that with 1106 left in the third quarter. You're like, we got ourselves a ball game. And then, um, well, Indiana had to punt. Miami was pinned deep. They had to three it out. Indiana had to punt again after a Mesa door sack of Mendoza. So Miami down 10 seven at their own seven. Three and out. They go in a punt formation. Dylan Joyce punt blocked by McCale Camara recovered by Isaiah Jones in the end zone turns out to be the biggest play of the game. Touchdown Hoosiers 17 seven with 504 left in the third quarter. What were you feeling then? I was just about to say, Kelly, how many times in this game did you feel like it's over? Okay.
So that was the first time where I was like, uh, this started to feel a bit over. It's like that was Miami just got a gasp of air and then all the sudden blocked point. Uh, return for a touchdown. They're done. They're done. But instead, Miami from their own 19 10 plays 81 yards back to Fletcher for eight. Fletcher for 10 three plays later. Third and sixth to their own 41 back to CJ Daniels for 24 two plays later to Malachi. Tony for 22, mostly yak three plays later. Fletcher in from three to start the fourth quarter. 17 14. It's back to a three point game three seconds into the fourth quarter. Indiana second play then second. And they're on 27 black for 13 two plays letterman. He does it a Cooper for 18 three plays after that O'Connor tugs on Cooper's jersey. It's uncalled. Fourth and five of the Miami 37 with 11 28 left. And the Hoosiers in no man's land decided to go for it. Men does it a becker back shoulder for 19 their bread and butter. But they get it again on fourth down to fourth and fourth. The Miami 12. And this is when with 9 27 left, they look like they're going to have to settle for a chip shot field.
They're going to go up six instead. Signeti calls their second time out of the half. He's thinking about it. He's thinking about it. He decides they're going for it. Quarter back draw. Mendoza somehow avoids poison on a dead sprint from across the field crashes into the safe spins and lunges forward in the end zone. Iconic touchdown for Indiana. That's the one they'll remember for decades to come. Don't even know about the play called Gil, but I loved them going for it there. Oh, what? I want to get to something else coming off everything about it was fantastic 24 14 Hoosiers now with 9 18 left a 12 play 75 yard drive that took 5 39 off the clock. But Miami, once you think they're done again from their own nine after a hold on the kickoff eight plays 91 yards. It took 241 off the clock on a drive that had them had 3rd and 15 at their own 15 back to Alex Bellman for 22. Then back to Tony for 41. And then two plays later the broadcast. A cameraman and intrepid camera and spots a concern to bella danger in the crowd.
Great. The director, either knowingly or unknowingly goes to it. Tony spins into the end zone for the 22 out touchdown 24 21 Hoosiers with 637 left. We're back to a three boy game. Indiana for their own 25 now with 637 left. Miami with all three time outs of the two minute warning. Kelly once they got their first first down 3rd and 4th their own 31 Mendoza to Omar Cooper for 14. I texted you and I'm on a son. I said they're not going to get Indiana off the field. Three plays later 3rd and 7 of their own 48 Mendoza to becker hasn't dropped a ball all year for 19 against O'Connor. So in Joe Pita text me that becker is a number one pick in his draft of if I ever had to throw my baby from a balcony. Who do I want catching it? Then Henry for 10 to the Miami 23 with two minutes left and it came down to this sequence. Henry for nine. Now Indiana in an epic in epic shape because Miami uses their first time out now in second and one. At this point you have to think oh man does Miami have to like purposefully jump off sides to get a new set of doubts.
But a false start by Carter Smith gives Miami some hope second and six now. Henry for one. Then Miami uses their second time out 3rd and 5 of the 18 black for one Miami uses their final time out. Rattichitch 35 yard field goal 27 21 who shares with 142 left Miami has a chance to win this after a season of 15 and 0 and never doing anything wrong. Indiana now has to prevent a touchdown to win the nadi. 142 left from their own 25 Miami no timeouts delay of game to start that was fun. First and 15 incomplete second and 15 incomplete but a roughing the passer call on Mario landing. Landino pardon me first and 10 at the 35 132 left back to charm our brown for 11 to totally for seven clock moving to Daniels for six to the Indiana 41 first down. Indiana uses their final time out to think about it with 48 seconds left in retrospect. This one could be spun into wow did signety know when to break that Miami momentum because the next play back looks deep for Keelan Marlin for Keelan Marion badly under thrown.
Jamari sharp picks it ball game and the Indiana Hoosiers go 16 and 0 and win the national championship as a 100 to 1 pre season long shots. The second longest long shot in all of northern American sports in our lifetime. The best show on turf greatest show on turf Rams of 1999 being the only longer shot at 151 that was the preseason were Trent green blew out his knee. And an arena football league stock boy named Kurt Warner grocery store stock boy named Kurt Warner came in to start for the Rams nobody thought they had a shot. It's a here's a buddy Blake at sports odds history dot com since 2001 now we're talking college football specifically longest preseason odds to win the natty of teams that went on to win the title. It is these Hoosiers at 100 to 1 only Auburn in 2010 at 50 to 1. Be Cam Newton Auburn squad 50 to 1 came even as close as that that's look that's the team that came closer than any 2003 LSU in 2014 Ohio State were 40 to what this Indiana Hoosiers team at 100 to 1.
It really calls to mind the European equivalent of this is if we were if we had sportsbooks that actually let's say this was years and years ago before sports folks got wise the fact you shouldn't put out landage numbers. But this is kind of the European equivalent of Leicester City Leicester City was 5,000 to 1. We just don't have sportsbooks that put up numbers like that. This is this is a closer comp to that in terms of people's brains exploding than it is to any American comp quite frankly. Yeah, and that in the since 2001 I just wanted to double check this. That's just because that's as far back as sports odds history. That's right. They're they're they're records go. So yeah, even before that what a season man. Incredible. What a real quick though the in thing about fourth down Indiana their final position possession when they went up six. Yeah, it's defensive wasn't happy with it on the group chat either. I mean, I was holding Indiana money line a couple different ways. I know you had the big. The big championship ticket. Congratulations. You got the video. Thank you, sir. That's nice.
Man, I was a little worried, man. As soon as they kicked a field going my call boy up from three to six, you're leaving Miami right in this game. Talk about the betting side of this. What are we watching after the woody marks. Anthony you long jump says I think I have a solution for you staying up late for the Australian open guild coming spend some time down here next year. In the morning into the afternoon. Talk about going down there to Melbourne. Yeah, man. So I said they should the NFL down there. They said you just have to watch it weird times. Okay rules for society. Nice middle man. Well done. Thank you so much rules for society. I appreciate again.
10 to 1 hits and get the plus eight and a half on on Miami in the process. Mr. Bob Apple. Nice middle hill. Berto great game football is the best. Andrew at damn it, Andrew. I honestly thought you're bet on Indiana to win the natty after the first Oregon game was a bit of an overreaction. But man, you were spot on with Miami and Indiana all year. I deserve middle tonight. If you went through and took Miami plus points. Congrats, Gil. Yes, I did take the plus points as mentioned on the show yesterday. This is Paul M pointing out he did some stats on coaches winning the Super Bowl. There's only like three exceptions to coaches winning their first Super Bowl after their first five years as a coach. Huh. So that's interesting. It's like you was after the Sean McDermott firing yesterday. Yeah. So it was pretty interesting. How are you here around the numbers. Black magic. The funny thing is I had the same thought after watching that Oregon game, but wasn't going to bet it. It wasn't until I listened to the show that week. And you made the bet that I went ahead and did it myself. Luckily, there were still tend to one available. Great call. Thank you. You are very welcome. Glad you jumped aboard Greg Lazarwitz with his IU logo there. He says, ah, Fernando, cash that ticket. I can't wait for tomorrow show. Thanks for all you do. Just be bad. Let's, let's like it. Go sick middle. I didn't hedge slash middle. But thanks to you guys. I had Indiana at 10 to one wiped out months of losers. Huge win. It's nice to finally get a winner when you have the best.
Hashtag A and G is goaded. Tea bars to Sigmund for the four and one day in tennis as well. She hit 100 to one at Fandall multiple times in the second set. Thank you as always. We will settle for a plus 320 pre flop. Huge night at the Australian Open as well. Joey Sinante superior analysis. The best of the business. Thanks, Gil. Thank you. It's very nice of you. Jesse Welch congrats. Gilly hell of a middle man. K flow. Another pleasant morning of a plus 320 dog getting home late night. Bravo. Despite similar spellings for my pronunciation purposes. Only I'm going with no relation of Freud. That's great. Laura Sigmund is no relation to the actual Sigmund Freud. That's right. This is from. Let's see. There's more. There's, there's many of these. This is from fairway Fred again. Bravo. Four and one with a with a 320 dog. You don't need sleep. Keep watching till 3 a.m. Man, I need to sleep. Seriously. Let's see here. This is from Daniel. Can you discuss in the end as a decision to kick a field going fourth and four with 147 remaining? It's at the game over the closing total of 46 and a half. But I would also guess it also increased. My M.E.'s win probability seems like the clear decision was to go for it. Yeah. That wasn't as much as dignity is getting allotted for the fourth and four that resulted into touchdown. He is taking some incoming on that for sure. Yeah. I wanted to double check this. This was the. This was a. In the analytics community. A pretty famous piece.
I think by Eric, you're back in the back in the day about the extending for the lead from the three to six, the kind of time parameters and everything. So. Yeah. I was wondering about that with the first time when they went for it. I thought that was a good call. I couldn't remember exactly where the time. You know, cut offs were like that. First one might have been a little early even to have gone for it. And then that last one felt like it was a little late. But as I'm going through a year's article right now. Yeah. I think that's the call is to go for it there. Carlos Fonini. How about the stat for whatever it's worth last night? I love popper and 59 aces combined. No double faults in their first match. That's amazing. Really is. What's that ratio? Usually. Usually you're going to have. I mean, for for serve bots. Yeah. You're still going to end up with like high single digits. And you have that many aces. Yeah. Crack and phasic losing their minds because Jody Boggs put out the fact that he did two teasers. Indiana pick up with the over Miami plus 14 with the over. They do not approve of the college football teasers on that.
This is from a bridge talking tennis. Fonseca was in his injured, looked on the lower half of the body, barely moved for him. Fonseca loses in the first round. This is from. Let's see. There's more fairway Fred. I don't know. We already read for a fairway Fred. That's right. Mark Hansen. Good teams win. Great teams cover. Even greater teams get futures tickets home. Congratulations on your win. Thank you, Mark. Dan Goodwin. Dan Goodwin did much better than I did. I was like, I said, people did better than my tend to one. Yeah. Dan Goodwin absolute dream scenario last night. 40 to one on Indiana took a decent hedge with Miami. And the points also cash the first half under. What a night. Good for you, Dan. Tim Bowers, while watching the Nadi, I couldn't help but wonder how the group text with Felica and Fesec went. Well, it was more with Felica and Will because they had Miami futures. We kind of agreed to just like not be friends for three and a half hours. Yeah, right. We got those work. Yeah, I was kind of sensitive to what they were. They were. I know what they had on the line as well. The rare night where radio silence goes. It was really one of those nights. I know people think this is crazy. But if I were to ever lose something, that would have been the night to lose it so that those guys get a cash big.
String fellow hawk took Miami plus seven and a half on open and all to plus ten and a half last week took two live overs. Many units of String fellow hawk. An LFC title records. Great work deal with the tennis picks. Yes, I should have found Seagamund and nearly plus 350 PS if I allowed my 11 year old to sports bet. My wife would show me the door. He's talking about Ben Affleck. I believe or who was it? No, no, Darren Revel yesterday. Yeah. Allowing his 11 year old to a sports bet. That was a whole thing. By the way, ESPN reporting breaking Indiana backup quarterback Alberto Mendoza. Remember his brother is the backup entered the NCAA transfer portal today. Sources telling ESPN Mendoza, the younger brother of Heisman trophy winning quarterback for an end of Mendoza is moving on from the college football playoff national champs with three more years. Yeah, there you go. It was really hard. When was he? I mean, was this a was this a anodicumbo brother situation, but he's not going to get to start next. Well, we'll only get to find out. We'll find out with time. Let's see what you got to do. Let's see. Um, it was really a may it was a heartwarming to win when Mendoza scored the touchdown on fourth and four where he's just he's knocking into the state that he spins and lunges into the end zone.
My immediate comment was give him another Heisman. Yeah. And then, you know, his mom who who has MS just the dad and his sister, you know, hugging her. It was just it was just an amazing scene. I just want to say this from betting perspective and we'll go on and we'll get to guess because I just think it's a lesson in sports betting. Yes, I hit the 10 to one and I hit the middle. 10 to one is not as sexy as some of the others have. This is sort of like it's just an interesting thing about sports betting, right. What do I do the most analytically tennis have the most success in it. What do I talk about the most and this year had by far the least success in the NFL, right. So you just kind of have to process that in your brain and then what else do I do kind of well, which is I snipe sports. I do this with the NBA. I do this with college football. I don't follow those two sports as closely day to day as some other people do. But I believe and it has manifested over time that I have success doing it because of that.
That I am not as close to the sun and therefore not as influenced by market stuff and what everybody thinks they know. And so I'm able to say, actually your Boston Celtics aren't as good as you think they are or that kind of thing, right. In previous years or I think the Miami heat are better than all these other teams or in college football to say the only reason you don't think Indiana's good is because they're not wearing Alabama jerseys, right. But they're you know that kind of thing. So just think about that from a sports betting pie Kelly. One thing I do super analytically tennis. Other things I snipe do very well, but the thing that we devote the most time to the national football league. I couldn't buy a bet. Right. So it's just a it's just a snapshot into sports betting for folks. Oh, and the other thing about the tennis last night, let me just also give how sports betting is a complete mind meld. You could use another word than meld, which is. So yeah, what four and one yesterday with a with a plus three 20 intense great night right on top of the netty are supposed to be super happy about it.
Why am I not happy about it? Because the previous night I had a bad night. And so I got a little gunshot last night. I had like seven other picks that I left on the table. There were five other winners in that group. So as good of a night as it was, it could have been even more glorious. So again, all of that to say. You have to sort of like temper the, you know, the excitement of the wins. I mean, you absolutely should rejoice in them when they happen because it's a huge night for me. I'm not trying to diminish that. But also recognize. Okay, these things work for you. Right. Those just happen to be my things. These things work for me for Kelly. It's golf. It's the NBA. It's that kind of thing. Whereas these other things that I think I might know actually don't. Right. Maybe I am too close to the sun on another sport like the NFL. Maybe I react too quickly in the NFL. That's why perhaps I'm not as good as that or this year as the others. I'm just saying everybody has to do that kind of assessment for themselves in sports.
Yes, they do. They do. I think that their, their takeaways could even be easier than yours, though, because guess what we got to do a show every day. And we got to talk about. We got to talk about the NFL. Right. And that's, it's like that's just, that's just a fact and that's not going to change. Right. So it's, no, no, it's not going to change. It's, you know, people, you drop this line all the time. I think we're usually more successful than this. But it's everybody's trying to beat the NFL every, right? And then it is. It's a, it's a yearly struggle. And when you might, you might have years where you do better in contest than you do when you're betting. You might have to do better in your betting. Right. The point of that was not to say, whoa, is me or anything. The point is to say for everybody, they have to like assess what it is that they do well. And sometimes the thing you have more in your brain isn't the thing you do best. Uh-huh. Coming back with hockey. Next. The number one place for college basketball player props. So happy for you. Didn't get a response from West West's big time. And it's on this morning. Literally five minutes ago. West goes, thanks, Gil. It will take a few days for this to sink to seem real. What a team. Absolutely. Congratulations, West. Seriously, man. That's awesome. I haven't seen the guy wear anything else, but Indiana gear in I don't know six months. And I do a weekly podcast with him. Good for him. It's going to be jolting to the brain to see him dressed in anything else, but red. GV New Jersey, New York, regard to be Ohio State 40 to one in 20 to 14. That number balloon because starting quarterback Braxton Miller got hurt in August before the season started. And it resulted in JT Barrett starting the first 12 games of the season. Yeah, it did. Also was also was there a single penalty called in the secondary last night. Man, you're not kidding. Like until late, they were letting you know when they say they let them play. Yeah.
Good God. That was the year. It was the year that Cardinal Jones was on that roster, too. It was like a three man like. Was there one season where there was like all three? Was that 2014? Yes. Well, that was the one where he actually won. He won. He won the nadi for them. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Then was drafted by Buffalo, I believe. Yeah. Shoot him a gambling. Also talking about the historical odds. He said, RIP St. Louis Ram. Sparta. My football fandom died when they left. Wolf named Wayne. Thank you for that recap. The way you articulate the game's key moments brought tears to this. Bloomington Bourne Hoosier. You are welcome. Part about a belly danger. About you to tears. I think Fred Courier still. Still just absolutely pissed at Kelly for his weather comments. Congratulations on the middle. Glad Kelly. Check the weather. He's showing pictures of snow covered drugs. Freezing out here. Fred, thanks for checking in, man. Mike Grouse. Really to this one. I was asked about the fourth down run by Mendoza. He said they knew what defense Miami would come out in and had worked on. It all week. He is an awesome coach. There is no doubt.
He is an awesome coach. There is no doubt. That is the understatement of them all. John Massey. Your tweets all over the placement. I'll try to follow. He says not sure of signety timeout usage in second half. But helped by game state of playing from ahead. Yeah. There were bad timeouts. But they were ahead. That's true. But college basketball efficacy of play calling out of the timeout for I.U. And Mendoza run touchdown drive. Yeah. Okay. All of that's true. But watching the L way documentary reminds me at the same point. Josh Allen is at he is as he was in that only in his career had only frustration. Then Broncos replaced Danries with Mike Shanahan within four years. They started winning super roles. Terry Pagula must have been watching. Maybe. Kino Walker. Plus 300 Mendoza anytime touchdown three to one the way it hit legendary. This ticket cashed and will be framed also great sports betting analogy. I don't know what he's referring to on the sports betting. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And Chad Lasso couldn't agree more about everything you just said. I actually do way better in soccer better than to do NFL.
Because I follow my model and have no bias. Definitely too close to the sun on the NFL while I don't even watch most of the soccer games. I bet. Let's talk some hockey. Jake Han who also by the way bets golf and tennis we should point out as well. He joins courtesy of the progressive guest line at Jay Han for that's H.A.H.N. For the host of multiple shows. We'll just highlight of course the point on the in the fantasy hockey show on series XM NHL Jake. How you doing, man? I'm doing good guys. It is great to have golf season back no winner from last week at the Sony open. But it was just nice to watch some golf in Hawaii, especially with how cold it is here. You guys say it's cold there. It is absolutely frigid here. So I'm happy to sit inside watch a little golf Aussie open as well. Beautiful Melbourne in the background watching a little tennis. So that's that's keeping me warm inside these days. Jake just for clarifications. Well, it's not cold here at all. Kelly has just become Vegas soft. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. That's 23 Celsius with the windshield here. It is very. I'm afraid to go outside after I do this head with you guys.
And. Geez. Let me ask you before we get to all your pictures. You have a bunch of you have some sides and you have a bunch of props. Just want to ask you because we always talk about the top or some other comments about the NHL. We never really talk about the bottom. And I'm just curious. The Vancouver conducts have lost 11 in a row. They've lost 13 of 14. They're in the seller of the Pacific division. They're in the seller of the Western Converge. They are in the seller of the entire national hockey league. And by seller, I mean C E L L A R. How bad is bad? Well, you can. Yeah. The C seller and also the S seller applies to the vets. That's right. And it's as well because I think they're going to be a major. They've already been a seller. They had to trade their best player in Quinn Hughes. They had to be different sort of reasons for that. He still was still under contract with for another year after this year. But seeing that he wasn't going to sign with them long term. They got a nice return for him. They just traded. Keep for sure what as well. Another piece. Some expected them to trade. So they're very bad. They're a team. I'm very much looking to fade in a lot of different markets. They can't keep the puck out of the net.
They can't score with any sort of consistency. They did get three on Elias Roken last night, who is one of the better bullies in the league this year. So that's probably as good as they're going to do with the rest of the year. They're going to continue to sell off pieces. And look, the Rangers have waved the white flag as well, guys, which is way more surprising than the cadux being bad this year. Just a horrible season for the New York Rangers. They put out a statement last week saying they're going to head in a different direction. So we've already had two confirmed sellers in the NHL. And I think a lot of people have their eyes on a couple of other teams as well that could be selling off pieces before the deadline. Okay, let's get to the sides that you like tonight in the national hockey league. Well, I'm going to a coaching change bump play here, guys. We haven't had a chance to really use this too often throughout the course of the league because there's only been one coaching change. And Columbus makes the change last week. They now are on a four game win streak. Now, one of these wins did happen before the new coach. They actually fired their coach after a win. So one win, then three with the new coach, which is Rick bonus behind the bench. And, you know, they're starting to,
they're starting to kind of click and put it all together. Ottawa on the other side. And it has major problems keeping the puck out of their neck. Guys are calling out the goal tender. It's a, it's a rock, rocky time in Ottawa in terms of in that room. And you're getting Columbus. I think at a pretty good price here on home. So just going to continue to ride that coaching bump in the fact that Ottawa is having so much trouble keeping the puck out of the net right now. Okay. I like the old coaching bumper betting angle on that one. You have one more side for us. Yeah, I do. I actually have two more. I've got Tampa Bay minus one and a half here on the puck line. Look, San Jose has been a great story. I'm rooting for the shark. I want to see them make the playoffs. Macklencella Brini is the best young player in the league. And he's injected so much life into that franchise. So I love to see that. But this is just a tricky spot for the sharks. They won a big game last night. They look good doing it against the two time champs in the Florida Panthers. But now they get Tampa on a second half of back to back. This is not the team you want to see on the second half of the back to back. So I like the lightning. I think they could run it up in this game. I'd be willing to lay the minus one and a half. And another team I'm looking to back is the Dallas stars tonight guys.
Look Boston has been the hottest one of the hottest teams in the NHL. They've actually won six in a row. They continue to stay in this thing. Dallas is a step up in competition. They haven't been playing their best. They haven't been scoring a lot lately. I just think this is a bounce back spot for the stars. They don't want to continue losing. They're too good to lose this many games. And I think with on whole mice against a Boston team that I do respect where they've come this year. I just think this is a spot to maybe pick on them. And I think Dallas wins this game in regulation. I also think it could be low scoring. I won't make it a play. But give a look to the under. I think with it's auditor and swimming. Get confirmed. I think we could see a lower scoring game in Dallas tonight. All right. Let me repeat those just because they're they're little different. All three of these. So the Columbus blue jackets on the coaching bump play. If you will, they're on the money line. Then you're taking the lightning on the puck line laying the puck laying the the goal and a half. And then Dallas. The stars are in regulation specifically. So a little bit different. All three of those. But all sides from Jake. All right.
To the props. What do you have? Well, we got lots. We got we got lots tonight. And I the one is specifically for Kelly. I had to sneak it in there at the at the very bottom of the board. But there are two players. Two players that should be of no surprise. Kutrov and McDavid. Two of the best players in the world. Both with good matchups. Then I mentioned the lightning going up against San Jose. I think Kutrov and the lightning feast. So I like him for two points. McDavid's just an auto bet for two points. New Jersey also playing on the second half of a back to back. So I think a pretty good spot with their backup goal tender as well. And Jake gallon who hasn't played in a while struggled in his last two starts. I think a good chance to back McDavid. And I mentioned the coaching bump guys. Kent Johnson. He has been probably the biggest beneficiary. A guy that was really struggling under Dean Everson. You look at his ice time the last three games with Rick bonus. He's up around 18, 19, 20 minutes. He's getting a look on the first power play. So plus money for a point for Kent Johnson. He's like, I'm over one and a half shots on goal as well. Two plays for Minnesota in Montreal. Again, Minnesota played in Toronto last night. Got the win.
They have a slew of injuries in their top six. Ryan Hartman and Vladimir Teresenko have gotten the biggest bump of anybody. Again, up on that first power play. You're getting plus money for each of them at three shots. I think they could both hit. I think at the very least you probably split this one. If you take both Victor Arvitson's another guy that's been firing for the Boston Bruins in that matchup against the Dallas stars. I like him at plus money. And then of course for Kelly, I could not leave the segment without mentoring Jimmy Snuggeroo over two and a half shots on goal. And it's been cash in Kelly. Why why why stop now? I I hit it on Sunday. And what we're going to continue to ride it tonight again. So Winnipeg team that's that's playing on the second half of the back to back as well. I'm trying to find who tweeted at us. But we got a great breakdown on the the recent success of Jimmy Snuggeroo since he's been back in the lineup. When did he come back from injury, Jake? It was it's been a while now. He's he's he's he's been back in the in the lineup for a couple of weeks at the very least. And he's he's battled a couple things, a young player. I think he's struggling with maybe putting together the full 82 game season, which is always a challenge for young guys. You know, you come from college or you only play, you know, 30 games, 35 games.
Then you're asked to play 82, especially this year in a compressed schedule with an Olympic schedule. So I think we are seeing guys like Snuggeroo to just to that. But not afraid to fire the puck if he gets into the ozone. And I think we're getting pretty good odds for tonight based on how he's been shooting. We were just talking betting stuff like just theory and just like broad picture stuff. I love that you keep going back to Kutcherov and McDavid every time. It's not a it's not a prop segment without those two in there for Jake. Jake appreciate it. We got we got to appreciate it guys. Thank you so much. Stay warm. Jake, huh? Everybody Kelly stay warm. College hoops next. Next. Numbers game on FESEN. These scores ready. Network. Back on the Numbers game. Live from Circle Resort. Casino downtown Las Vegas. Gill Alexander Kelly. Bidlin alongside. We get to it. Speak to the book. Best listeners in the game. I will stand by that. Christopher Lubesnik at AC double joker says I wonder if this might be a topic that.
Oh, he's talking about crack. Um, crack in FESEN getting upset about the guy's teasers. He wants us to talk about that. He goes, thank you for all you do in educating civilians like me because I was making college football teasers. So maybe we'll talk about that on Thursday. Tom 99. Uh, 66. He says, listening is always compared to, uh, odds on schools in the past. You think this was possible before the transfer, uh, before the transfer portal in NIL. We're talking about Indiana success. Well, I mean, it's an interesting case, right? Cause he brought all his players over. And it's an older team and again, I, I, I rank it right behind 2000, 2001 hurricanes in 2019. LSU just because of the accomplishment of 16. No, right. Just that alone. Everything they did. They just made all the big plays whenever. Do I think it's possible before the transfer portal? No, I don't. First school like Indiana to make this happen. But they'll be a transfer portal darling from here on out. It was crazy. You know, cause I do my like once every couple of weeks or once a month checking on Malachi Tony because I watch a game. And I'm like, he's really good at football.
I'm just pulling up an article this morning. Like it's, it's just crazy where they got five days now to enter the portal. And it's like this, a whole article about like Miami better matches value or else he might be leaving. It's like it's just wild. You hear about a freshman. Oh, I think considering doing that torch day, the one to put the satin in your paddy. He said, where does last night rank on your best gambling day leaderboard? You hit the middle, clean up on tennis. I tailed the tennis. Thank you so much. Glad you tailed the tennis. Um, to be honest with you. Probably not inside the top 20. I was going to say I wasn't getting those lives from kill. Probably not inside. It's a great night. It's a great night. It's a great night. Don't get me wrong. It's probably top 50 top 30 maybe. But there's been in those top 20. There's been at least 19 tennis days where just out of control. Oh, I've seen one or two. Yeah. Just out of control. And and maybe you'll miss college baseball was the other outlier in the 20 miss. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Almost 2022 World Series. William Wagers. I've had the most success betting the WNBA women's college hoops and men's college hoops. But I spend the most time on football at both levels. MLB is by far my worst. But that may have something to do with just pure volume. Congrats on the middle. Thank you, William. And then Jim Dal Torio at JD, the old father says, good morning, boys. So happy that Indiana football won. So painful. These last 40 years. Your girl is sad. And by you, he's your girl. He's pointed to a picture of a Bella danger, who let me just say is a legit. She is a Miami student. She retired from the game. She is a Miami student. So she comes by her fan hood, honest. Yes. She does. You know, I didn't have to catch up about that. I went. I went to Hebrew school with like 50 girls. It looked just like her. Let's. Let's. Let's talk some college hoops. Jim root joins us. One third of the three, man. We've crew. You can follow three, man. We have a three MW underscore CBB. Jim is at second chance points. That's with the number two courtesy of the progressive guest. I once again, James Patrick. How you doing, Jimmy? Doing good. Doing good, Gil. Uh, yeah.
A nice ball game to watch last night. But now it's college basketball time. Can I get your college football? Love out of the way, folks. Enjoy your portal news, but it's college hoops time. Wow. That's what I'm ready for. It's very, very strong stance. Get out of here. Football, guys. All right. Paul sport hates that sports on sports violence. He hates that stuff. Jim, Jim is all into it. All right. Well, let me, before we get to some of the game style, you should have your plays. Three teams with zero losses, three undefeated. It's Arizona and Nebraska. And Miami will hire out of the Mac. Anybody who had those three lasting the longest. Good, good on you. And then the one lost teams are Utah, Michigan, Purdue, Duke, Houston, Gonzaga, George Mason, and St. Louis. That's it. That's the rough old country. Um, give me a team outside of any of those. A mid major, something where you're like, I could see this team that nobody's really thinking about making a tournament run. Say, say sweet 16ish. Yeah, I think like, you know, a week ago, I would have twisted your question into letting
me talk up Florida as a, as a real final four national title contender. But I think over the last week, they've, they've really asserted themselves and, and shown that they belong in that conversation. I think everybody's kind of putting them in that conversation. If I had to answer your question, I, you mentioned St. Louis is one of the one lost teams. I think St. John's actually has a very high ceiling still. They had the, the home collapse against Providence. And that kind of threw people off the scent. They lost to Kentucky and in a game where Jaylen Lowe and, and Jayden Quentin actually played a bunch. Well, this, this team is still super talented. And they're playing their best lineup now. Uh, they started Dylan Mitchell, Bryce Hopkins and Zuby edge of four together over the last three games. And they've beaten a bunch of the other Big East NCAA tournament contenders. There's still Rick Patino in charge. They have the best offense efficiency wise in the Big East right now. Even had a Yukon, which I think is notable because last year they couldn't score. Uh, they're shooting, they're shooting 39% from three in Big East play this year. Last year, they couldn't make any jumpers.
So I'm buying the size. The athleticism, the talent combo with their coaching. I think St. John's would be the best version of themselves come March. Team that can you get a 678 type seed and pull off a stunning upset in the second round. A lot of people probably nodding their heads at that, that choice right there. Um, before we get to your three pack of picks, uh, one team that was undefeated and has lost twice. This is the last week since we talk college basketball is Vandy. Uh, they've lost twice. They lost at Texas by 16. Then they lost to the Gators who you just talked about, uh, by four at home. They're at Arkansas tonight. They're a slight favorite. Any thoughts on that game? Yeah, I kind of lean Arkansas there. I just home Arkansas in front of bubble out in the arena. It's been awesome. They've had some really strong performances this year. And they can kind of do what Texas and Florida did to Vandy. Uh, attack the rim, get to the free throw line of time and dominate the glass. You know, Vandy's lost the rebounding battle 82 to 50 in the last two games. Like just absolute slaughter on the boards there.
Arkansas has the size inside with Pringle with you in, uh, with Brazil. They've got big wings. I think that team, their physicality to go with the freshman back court of Malik Thomas and Darius A.Cuff. It's going to be a tough match up for Vandy who's lack of interior fortitude is catching up with them. They're playing a lot more small ball with McLaughlin at the five lately. And it's just given them some problems and the offense hasn't quite been able to compensate for it. So I'm actually buying the three game loss and three game losing streak for Vandy possibilities. And taking Arkansas gets it done. Wow. They try to avoid their third loss at a row. They are the Comma doors. Are the fighting Jensen Lewis is tonight. Yes. A Vanderbilt. All right. Two year three pack of plays. Where do you want to go first? Yeah. We'll start with an underdog six twenty one on the board. Seaton Hall. Yes. I just spent time talking up Saint John. So let me do the other side of it and talk up. Seaton Hall. Getting nine and a half here. Uh, I do think there is a spot on it. So St. John's riding super, super high right now.
And I'm glad they're playing their best lineup. But now you get one of the feistyest dogs in the country. Seaton Hall is extremely athletic. They're big. They take away the rim defensively. So St. John's better keep making jumpers. Or they could actually suffer a surprising outright loss here. I just love the way she he and hallways team slows it down. The way they battle. You know, they got down 15 big to Yukon came all the way back. Made that a really close game down the stretch. So even if they go down early against St. John's, I think they can fight. But I also think it's just going to be kind of tooth and nail the whole way. They turn into a half core game. I got a top 10 defense nationally per Kenpum. Top three in steel rate and block rate. I just think this one's going to be a tougher blowout situation for St. John's with the way Seaton Hall battles as an underdog under Holloway. All right. To the big 12 Texas tech and Baylor. Yeah, I'm going to ride the road team again. 649 Texas tech minus two on the road. There might be some one and a half out there if people are hunting in the market. I'm just a big buyer of Texas tech and kind of a seller of Baylor right now.
Baylor's been also like Vanderbilt struggling in the paint. They are an awful defensive rebounding team. I think it's played JT Topin who is playing at an all-American level. He is probably going to have you know your classic 25 and 13 type of double double against this interior. Baylor's a victim of some tough tough big 12 scheduling so far. But even their offense has not been sharp in league play. Not getting, not taking care of the ball. Not knocking down shots the way they want to. I just think Texas tech with you know their biggest weakness is lack of depth. I don't think Baylor takes care of that bear. It takes advantage of it. Baylor's 335th and average bench minutes. They don't play fast. It's a good setup for a team that's reliant on five good players. I think Texas tech keeps rolling there and wins on the road. All right. Now I'm supposed to say to the big 10, but I just can't wrap my head around Oregon still. So Michigan state at Oregon. It is a big 10 game. We're smarty 10 and a half point road favorites. Yeah, I took the cheese with Michigan as the big road favorite against Oregon over the weekend.
And that did not come home. But I still think fading Oregon without Jackson style stat without Nate Biddle is the right move here. And Michigan state quite honestly with the way Michigan's playing. Michigan states more trustworthy. Their style really travels with the defense. Take away any kinds of transition opportunities. Jeremy fears is great on the ball setting up teammates and they're just going to dominate the glass in this game. You know, they did the same thing to Washington as a start of this specific Northwest road trip over the weekend. And we're up five to seven whole game ended up extending it to 15. I think they can do the same thing here or even potentially blow out Oregon. I just really selling Oregon without Biddle. I think that was a little bit of mirage that they hung around with Michigan says a little more about Michigan right now. Michigan state's not the type of team that's going to have a lax effort under Tom Deso. So I'll fade the ducks and take that or lay that 10 and a half on the road. Jim Rude who says move over college football college basketball is here takes three road teams. Seaton Hall plus the points at St. John's Texas Tech minus two at Baylor in the Michigan state minus the points at Oregon.
Thank you Jim. Appreciate it. Appreciate it fellas. Yeah, no, no, not too much shade at college football. I'll take that back. I felt a little shady. Thank you Jim. Drew Denson on the other side NFL and NBA next. Thank you. Thank you. Drew Denson on the other side NFL and NBA next. Thank you. Thank you. Drew Denson on the other side NFL and NBA next.
