A Numbers Game — A Numbers Game | January 15, 2026 | Hour 2. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
This is Vincent, the sports betting network. The numbers told the story now, so I'm those idiots who believe in analytics. This is a numbers game with Gill Alixander gone, Vincent. Hour number two of a numbers game at visa, these sports betting network, visa.com, game plus I hard radio, YouTube TV, and of course, series XM Channel 158, Gill Alixander, Kelly Middleton. Kale by the lawn for those who only pronounce things phonetically. Can we show this rendering of a, yeah, that's why I sent it to you, man, of the Commodore News. So you've got to grab these because it was going to want to see this every segment. Look at that daytime daytime shot. Now, none of those buildings, by the way, surrounding it exists. Look at the moat. That's yeah, that's the, on this side of that water is the state of Maryland. That is awesome. As you see in the background, right, the capital building, the Washington monument and beyond the Washington monuments, Lincoln Memorial. So the shot from the other side is actually cool with that kind of silhouette in the background,
but that's, it's the East, the very East quarter of DC, the District of Columbia. There's the night shot. Look at that. I like the red, I like the red drinks where some stuff is obviously fake like Larry, go back to the other one, the daytime one, where you pointed out the buildings, like those buildings around in Art Real, those are the fakes looking building, exactly like we couldn't even, we couldn't put a little bit more effort into making it look like a realistic building. Nothing exists there at this moment. But why is there, why is there grass like where windows should be on those buildings? It's very, it's very e-friendly, apparently, that's what that state is going to be. Take the Whitehurst freeway from where we went down there. Good stuff. We get tweets about the book, Dave Sager, whose Twitter handle is Scrabble Star 56, which will explain the nature of his tweet, ready for this, says Gil. If we had a drinking game based on how many times you describe that hokey tennis contest is awesome. We'd all be a little loopy easily your most overused descriptor in general. Love the show anyway. Oh, Scrabble Star, hey, Dave, nobody likes an English teacher, okay?
Help us out with some synonyms that, okay. Jesus. She propets over under nine and a half tweets about hedging a big Miami ticket today. Having said that, how likely is it that the liability of the books have as an impact on the line? I actually have a hard time singing Indiana's eight and a half point favorite at my off. That would depend book to book, for sure. But I'm with you on the eight and a half, like, again, I just described, even as a guy with an Indiana ticket, there's no justification for that line today. I only wanted to ask Tim that question about where do we close that because it did jump out to me yesterday, too, that South Point took a stand at nine and they're the only ones I see going that way. My mishpuch has got a nine out there. Yeah. And those guys, those guys know what they're doing. So all of them are prime time cowboys underscore Cubs one, yo, hey, man, so great to have golf back again. First round leader on cashmere Keith. Let's go. Kelly. He says, oh, my cashmere for Keith today and took a country club and came Michael Bittling's man, crushed Keegan for top 20 and ham sandwich on Keegan to win it.
He's loving. Yo, he's a piece of loving, yo, I mean, I want to say good luck, but you know, I'll be rage. I will be full of FOMO rage of Keegan. Whenever Keegan wins, when I'm not on him, oh, it's fully, you know, it's, it's not used enough. The betting term, I bet a ham sandwich on it, not used enough. Jay Rudy used to say that when I used to do shows with him in MGM, he'd be like, well, you know, we'll lose a ham sandwich on that JD and Florida account loaded and ready for the Aussie open parlays. We killed it last year. Love betting hardcore tennis. Good luck. You two, man, Jesse Welch with the expertise of Sommage. I think the term horse hockey needs to be used regularly in his segments, such a wasted opportunity. Fellas, do you see what I responded with there? It is. I never thought about this before, but he loves horse racing. He loves hockey. There's kind of a sport that combines those two. It's called polo. They probably, he seems like he'd play polo. Yeah. Sommage's got to pick it up, man. You can play that in, uh, you don't have to be a young man to play that game. And by the way, I don't want to, I don't want to, uh, before we move into other betting stuff. I don't want to, uh, ignore this story this morning. Yeah.
This is from Kirk Chamberlain. He's among a couple folks who have tweeted this in Dave Perdom, uh, wrote a, uh, a piece over at ESPN.com and out's being picked up by NBC news as well, um, but 20 people have been charged in connection with a sweeping basketball game fixing scandal. The FBI probe marking the latest gambling scandal in high level sports, uh, the, the long and short of it is that federal prosecutors secured indictments against 20 people accused of rigging college basketball games in America and pro hoops games in China, according to court papers unsealed in Philly yesterday or today, rather, Kelly's reaction is to laugh. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't see it. The initial tweet about the, uh, the professional games in China. I didn't either. I'm laughing because I have heard multiple people bring up in years past like, uh, either you're betting on Chinese professional basketball or stay away from it because you know where the, you know where the fix is in. The suspects face a slew of charges that include alleged bribery in sports conspiracy to commit
wire fraud, wire fraud and eating in a bedding. I, okay. By the way, then there's also high stakes gamblers named in this as well on top of the suspects who are players. Hmm. So, and I won't go through all the days, but basically the fixers engage in a point shaving scene involving more than 39 players and more than 17 different NCAA division one men's basketball teams who then fix and attempted to fix more than 29 games for millions of dollars in bets and on and on and on to the break it down. And you and I, can we really just a, let's just tell everybody what our reaction was off air. Yeah. It was just, we'll just be completely asked about this. Clearly transparent. We have become so numb to this. Like think about the Chauncey Billups thing and the Terry Rosier thing and how big of a deal it was that morning. Yeah. It's massive. And then it just kind of went away into the ether and then we see a massive thing like this where if we had brought up this story, I don't know, right after Paspo was ruled
out constitutional, we would all lose our minds. I see it on this day. I recognize that it's a very serious thing. And then Kelly, I just want to move on and talk about the first overall pick in the NFL draft. K2. Does it feel like, because it's not surprising, we've all heard about the 24 hour news cycle. It feels like betting incidents like this or like a 12 hour news cycle. I mean, we all said at the time the Chauncey Billups thing was like one of the most massive things to happen in the history of sports. Nobody talks about it three months later. Chauncey Billups on the poker side of things. Yeah. Also also. Yeah. It was linked to that. Yeah. Um, I'm sitting here. We could go talking about it. Bet and over on trailblazers. Win totals. Lake. Yeah. Well, let's talk about this real quick. Oh, by the way, shoot him again. One also says Brent Hurley. Seventy says, uh, thanks for the shout out. He's the guy who tracked all the dumbbells on the megapod. He says, only been tracking dumbbells for two seasons, but I don't know if we'll ever have a season quite like last year with Antonio Pierce was six. Yes. And nomination. He was a run. I remember that. He was a runaway last year. Okay. His name is on the trophy.
I got two quick hitters for you. Yeah. Uh, did you see the story about the commanders, uh, hiring DJ Williams, the son of Doug Williams? Yes. So they, they hired, uh, Blau, the former Lions quarterback as their OC, which was not a very sexy choice, by the way. No. But yeah, DJ Williams, Doug Williams son is now the quarterback coach. Yeah. And then as Chris, Chris Foster did, uh, did bring up during the break and I, I chuckled when I saw this, come down to the sporting too. That was your immediate reaction. Just want to let you know breaking news, Jonathan Kaminga is demanding a train away from the world. And I see he's getting benched every other night, but he gets what he's, we finally hit the breaking point for Jonathan Kamigaps, like your girlfriend breaking up with you. And then you're like, you know what? I'm out of here. So Kaminga. Yeah. That's right. Uh, by the way, Draco Mesa is the most fascinating story. He has to be the Texans in that stage of elimination thing we just did. If they win it all, they're going to give Stroud 200 million, ruining their future worth it. Probably. He says, I don't know that tweet whenever you're, all right, the, uh, I don't want to bring
up from the NBA last night, Cooper flag, Cooper flag did go down, still waiting for a kind of reports on what it's going to, how bad it's going to be, isn't ankle, right? Yeah, it's his ankle. Yeah, one of those were kind of got someone stepped on it and he kind of got rolled that twisted it as he was trying to break away. So, you know, it's kind of tough. It's not the, it's not that I'm going to bring up the same, I forget who we were talking about the non-contacty. That was yoga, right? Yeah. It was like, it's, it's contact because a foot's on him, but they're like, what did he move out of it? Did not look good. So interested to see, um, let's see how long he's out for if any time at all, but some shops have pulled rookie of the year odds. These NBA awards are all being, well, the rookie of the year doesn't have a games floor. Correct, which is huge because if Cooper flag only, let's say he is out, but he's out for two weeks. I don't think it matters at all. He still wins the thing. Right. But like, he pull up rookie steps, stats, Conk and he still, I, I mean, he's outscoring him right now and just be aware of that.
That news comes down. I mean, I've already got some con, uh, tickets from earlier in the season. So I don't think I'll be adding. And he's the only person I would, I would consider. I think Edgecomb at 25 to one. These are current on federal. Yeah. Cooper flag minus 900 conk nipple plus 650. Everybody else starting with VJ Edgecomb at 25 to one or longer. Yeah. I don't, I think a lot of people would ask about Edgecomb, whether you should jump in on him. I think that separation is pretty fair, but between Con and him, Gil. So I really think if, if for some reason we hear Cooper flags out for the rest of the season, sure. I think you could run, jump in on Conk nipple today. I'm not expecting that, but sucks, man, for a season, Mavericks just cannot get the whole past year. Yeah. It's a disaster. But again, from, from a awards rules perspective, again, Rookie of the Year does not have a floor of games. In other words, with MVP, you got to play 65 games, why, which is why, when, but Yama's not a bet, which is why yo, yo, yo, Gitch is not a bet, which is why SGA is minus 400.
But here Cooper flag, it's going to, he's going to get the benefit of the doubt on this no matter what. I don't even know what he'd have to miss. Yeah. We'd have to miss a month and Conk nipple would have to maintain this level of play if not get better. Yeah. One more, because we touched on this yesterday, this one, this one won't take more. This will be 30. Oh, for sure. Yeah, first overall pick. First overall pick has gone just, hey, wire now, Fernando Mendoza minus 7,000 this because Dante Moore kind of figured this was going to happen, though, I was surprised this wasn't built in already, but people thought Dante Moore was coming out. Dante Moore is going back to Oregon. Ray old was like, what? He's doing what? I know, right? Mendoza, Mendoza is minus 7,000. And remember Trinidad Chambliss is still trying to get back to Ole Miss, like he hasn't let that go yet because otherwise to me, it's Mendoza or Chambliss, but again, I'll make the point. I think because Tom Brady is involved in this and he has said he will be involved in this.
I believe and I have nothing to go on, but I'm just me speculating. I think Tom Brady looks at a guy like Mendoza and says, hmm, that guy understands what he's looking at on the field. That's a guy in my image. That's my guess. What's the last time? It feels like it's been a few years now that January 15th, we've had a favorite like this? I mean, it's 7,000. I don't remember. But for a guy that, you know, a month and a half ago, we were like, we don't even know how good he is. I took a little Chambliss on Calciat, ridiculous number. Uh, Danny just told me he is, uh, trafficking has reposted Chambliss is 30 to one there. This is fandalary. Seven. I got him at 6% on Calciat. Kelly is still accepting birthday wishes 45 days after the fact that Mary Christmas slash happy New Year only last for four to five days.
Well, I didn't say I wanted to happy birthday. I just pointed out it was the same day it was my birthday. Can we make K Michael Bidlin day a national holiday? He says that sounds. Yeah, we should. Ray in Texas, I don't know what time of year would be sometime in the summer. But I have we never had a holiday, Stevie Wonder for your birthday. Ray in Texas, wouldn't this fit DC perfectly for the new stadium for the for the skins? Yeah, the first renderings of the commander's new stadium, he's talking about the columns. So most people nationally are saying, oh, the columns because it elicits the monuments, right? Yeah. That's not what I see. What I see is just the again, the silhouette of RFK. I love that they did a nod to RFK Joey bag of tennis balls like right around like on the outside of the stadium. So they're saying those columns, which like, yeah, I see the same thing you do, I remember RFK enough to get to see that. Those are someone who is a Jensen's morning said looks like the fabulous forum in Englewood is what he's, he's nothing looks like Joey bag of tennis balls. Joey is a Joseph Taurus, Joseph Taurus.
He is a umpire in tennis, but he goes by Joey bag of tennis balls on Twitter. He says, looking forward to the Australian open podcast this afternoon, you're right. He says, Bagoula is so consistent and totally worth four to one in her quarter. I hope to maybe see you at the Del Rey open if you attend this. Oh, man, what are we doing that trip, man? Let's do it. Numbers game at the Del Rey open. No, you know what? No, I can't even, I can't even anymore. The last time I was down there, I'm going to be down there this past summer. I didn't go there at Christmas. Love Del Rey Beach. I used to live in Del Rey Beach. Del Rey Beach open used to be one of the most fun sporting events to go to every year because you could just go watch some lower level tennis, right? It's not the big stars, but it's still big, big enough tennis tournament. It's too 50, I believe. Yeah, it's too 50. And then you just walk out onto beautiful Atlantic Avenue, go to a great restaurant or bar right by the beach and you know what, Gil, it's all gotten way too condo buildings offices everywhere, man. Just no little beach town at all. I know which way you're going to say it's way too. Pause.
I don't know the word I'm looking for. Del Bocavista. The last time I was there, I was like, let's go to this place. This one bar I used to hang out, like, oh, it's an office building now. Never mind. Okay. Grab on Del Rey anymore. He wants to still love it. Zach Cohen joins us now courtesy progressive guest line. You can follow him on Twitter at betting on X part of the glue that holds this whole operation together. Zach, good morning to you, sir. Good morning. How you guys doing? Doing very well. You said we have a splashy sexy new Australian open page on the website. Is that true? Yeah, we're going to have a really nice looking landing page for it. I'm going to be doing my daily best bets for it. We'll throw the megapod up on there and we're also going to do like a daily recap and look ahead video. So I'm going to be doing like eight to 12 minutes video, you know, stuff every single day. So we're going to have a little bit of extra stuff for the Australian open this year. I will tweet that link out as soon as it's ready. Let's go. All right. We're going to save all your Australian open thoughts for the megapod later today. So we'll skip over that right now.
NBA. Yep. You got some thoughts. There you got a couple props you'd like to share. Yeah, the first one is Anthony Black over 15 and a half points at minus 115. They're playing the Grizzlies in Berlin pretty soon. I like to believe it's like 11 p.m. 11 a.m. Pacific time. So it's an early tip and this is just a game where Blacks going to be playing without jail and Sugs and this season when he is playing without Sugs, that has meant some good things. I mean, he's averaging around 20 points per game when he is playing as their starting point guard. And I do think this is a pretty strong matchup for him because the Grizzlies are not very strong. When it comes to defending pick and roll ball handlers, they're also one of the weakest teams in the league defending above the break three is in 20% of Blacks points come from above the big break three. So I do think this is going to be a game or replay as well. I mean, the magic are getting back Franz Wagner today. So the Wagner boys are back in Germany today and I do think that's going to help the magic a lot. But I do think that Blacks still going to have a high enough usage rate to get to 16 plus points. And then use of turkish were over 22 and a half points and rebounds versus the Mavericks.
I'm going to go. Yes. Yes. I don't know if I accidentally texted it by accident. The turkish or not. I'm wrong. But yeah, I do have use of Nurgish over 22 and a half points and rebounds tonight against the Mavericks over the last 10 games. Nurgish is averaging 15.4 points per game, 11.7 rebounds per game. And I really like this matchup for him because the Mavericks are obviously missing Anthony Davis. He'll be out for the next six or so weeks and also missing direct lively to second over, you know, the rest of the season. So this is a team that's all of a sudden pretty undersized at the center spot and a little bit weak inside. They've been having trouble on the glass. They've been having trouble around the basket. They're one of the worst teams in the league defending inside 10 feet. And that is where Nurgish does most of his damage. So I do think he's going to have a pretty impactful game as a scorer. And I also think he's going to dominate the glass. I figured Zach knew a player. I didn't know about being an NBA Harto. Completely fair. Yeah. NFL Broncos Buffalo, which way did you go here?
I took the Broncos on the money line earlier in the week when it was plus money. I just think that having the extra week of preparation is going to be absolutely huge for Denver. I mean, Sean Peyton is one of the best offensive coaches in the league. So even though this Broncos team has been a little bit up and down offensively this year, I do think that getting to attack this bad bill's defense with the extra week to prepare is going to be really beneficial for them. And defensively, I kind of like the fact that this is, you know, an elite secondary going against a team that really doesn't have a great group of wide receivers. And I know that Alan extends a ton of plays with his legs. But I do think it's going to be hard for his receivers to kind of create separation even when he's able to do that and get outside the pocket and give them extra time. I think Denver's defense is really going to show up in that game. All right. I'm going to skip the nine or see Hawks game because I'm tipped off as to where you're going with that. But let's go to Sunday. Texans in the Patriots. You got three, you got a three and a half on the Texans. Yeah, I got three and a half at minus one 18. I would still take three if that's what you needed to do it. But I just kind of think that this used to defense is going to really give New England problems.
I don't think that may play all that well last week. I think that, you know, it's his first taste of postseason action and having to go against this Texans team. Definitely not, you know, the greatest of matchups like they have an unbelievable pass rush. They have a really reliable secondary. And I do think that if Nico Collins is out there, this is a game that Houston can win out, right? Hopefully he is. I'm not sure whether that'll be the case. But if he's not, I still like the three and a half because I think this is a game where the Texans really limit the Patriots offensively. And I think that strad while he was awful last week, like he's still good for a big throat or two a game. Like I think he throws one of the best deep balls in the league. It's just a matter of, you know, getting a clean pocket and having time to set his feet. And I ain't one or two big plays in this game might be enough for them to do what they need to do offensive. I'll say it again. He could not possibly play any worse than either the other night, Kenny question mark. All right. And then the bears. Yeah, absolutely bears and rams. You are not buying the magic carpet ride anymore. Your tank of the rams you lay in the, lay in the points.
Yeah. I've actually bought the magic carpet ride all season. Like I think while other people were saying that Chicago was lucky, I was defending them and saying that they were just a team that's good at, you know, winning close games. And, you know, it takes something to get into those situations. But I do think that this just feels like a really big discount for a rams team that you look at EPA per play, look at net EPA per play, they're the number one team in the entire NFL. If you look at rbsdm.com, a website that I use for EPA per play numbers, they're the number one team in tier one. Chicago is in tier three. Like there are several teams listed above this bears team. And I do kind of think that the rams are going to be able to move the ball against Chicago, even if the weather is bad. And I think that defensively, I like that the rams actually played the Lions last year when Ben Johnson was, you know, the coordinator for that Detroit team and held them to 20 points in regulation. I just think that they know what to expect from this offense. And it's a worse offense in Chicago than when we saw it Detroit. So I kind of like the matchup, but I think this is way too short of a number.
All right. And then with the sea hawks, let me, let me, let me see if I can walk through this sea hawks. You don't, you like the sea hawks, but you don't want to lay all those points. So you're combining them. It's that simple. Yeah. It's that simple. There's nothing more to it. I like to see yawks to win. I don't want to lay seven and a half. I think that Seattle's defense, you know, we saw them give San Francisco a lot of problems in week 18. I think that maybe the Niners play a little bit better offensively in this game. Like they really should be able to, even without, you know, George Kindle, just towards Achilles. But I think the sea hawks can play a lot better offensively than what we saw the last time. These two teams, matter of thought, they left a lot of points on the board in that game. So I like them to win. I think Indiana actually can cover that number against Miami. I just, you know, I was looking for ways to play the sea hawks. And I was like, I don't need to do it with an NFL game. I can do it with a college game. And it just thinks it's a little easier for me to take the Hoosiers on the money line rather than laying, you know, eight to nine points. So a little money line parlay with all these, by the way, you see if the money line parlay is the better bet than the T's, right, which you shouldn't be doing in college football. Anyway. So money line parlay for Zach, the sea hawks and the Indiana. Yeah. Real quick, just before you go and in the last 20 seconds, what's your, now it's football
clears. How much, what's the percentage pie you spent on basketball? And what's the percentage on tennis now moving forward? I would say it's like 40% for both and then 20% everything else. Wherever I need to pitch in. And then obviously, Bart's bad. This comes around really soon. And that consumes me for, you know, two, three, four, five, four, five, five, five, five, four, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five. That consumes me for, you know, two, three weeks in a way that's like unimaginable. So I'll be kind of like sitting here at my desk from like 6 a.m. to like 2 a.m. during March Madness. But then once that stops, things slow down a little bit for us. I always tell people like, we have like a teacher's schedule in sports. We do. It's a beautiful thing. Coming back, thank you Zach. Appreciate it. Coming back right here on a numbers game with Mike Sommage next. Back on a numbers game live from Circle Resort Casino downtown Las Vegas. Gill Alexander. It's my little buddy Kelly Bill and everybody. Long side. Uh, this gentleman has himself a podcast. It's called Sharp Money, which he does with our buddy Patrick Mahler.
Have you ever heard of a patrick? Talked to Patrick. Got a text Patrick. Oh, he's doing all well. Yeah, man. Uh, but I'll tell you who I don't have a text. It's Mike Sommage. Cause he's with us right now to talk horses to talk hockey to talk football. Anything that's on his mind with his Samo bombs. You can follow that Samo bomb 18 on Twitter. Mike Curtis in the progressive guest line. How you doing, man? Uh, doing great. Just got in from my morning polo match. Uh, excited to be here with you boys. Sorry. On Twitter there. They they figure you as a polo player. Go for you. Based on all your loves. Yep. I actually have played polo once before. Wow. It was not pretty. I will probably never play polo again. You've played polo before? You can ride a horse. Yeah, there's a lot of ride a horse. I do know how to ride a horse up in Saratoga. So Saratoga Springs almost Saratoga race course. There's a big polo grounds. Um, and I had a friend who was playing polo. Invited me to come out and try it. I tried it for about 15 minutes and I was good. Didn't need any more than that. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I tried it for about 15 minutes and I was good.
Didn't need any more than that in my life. Wow. How would a Mike Sommage Drew Dinsick podcast go? Or they just like out bourgeoisie each other? Well, they should do it while playing polo. That's right. Yeah. I've consumed alcohol in a polo match before. I know that will not shock you. I have never attended such a thing. My people don't usually attend those. Well, it's in Florida. My people don't usually attend those events. All right, Mike. Let's start with horse racing. Um, because that's your that's your go to brand. We'll start there before we get to something here this weekend. Do you have any Derby like way too early Derby plays for us? How about that? I do. And this is this is like one of the most fun parts about the triple crown trail is the hype trains that get rolling. Yes. And we have don't have a great three year old class this year. I think this is one of the more wide open Kentucky Derby's we've seen since Mage one four years ago. That means that like when I see three year olds debut, meaning debut, they've never run a race before. It's the first time they're on the track. And I'm really blown away.
I get way too excited about them. We saw one last weekend. The horse today is chief Wallaby debuted in the fourth race at Gulfstream Park last Saturday. Going seven furlongs on the dirt trained by Bill Maught who won the Kentucky Derby last year. Jumar Avarado rides. He rode the winter last year as well. He looked frickin awesome. I mean, just did not get asked around the turn. They were going fast when Alvarado asked him in the top of the lane. The horse just took off. Very, very mature horse. Not available in most future pools. Yeah, like that's how early we are here. But we'll have to see if that one pops up. And if so, I'll probably drop a win wage run, especially if I can get somewhere in the 50, 60 to one range. That always trips me out about Derby like this. It's really like used to happen when Johnny Avello was at the win. He used to like walk up to Johnny and be like, hey, Johnny, can you put up a chief Wallaby on the board or the number? 40 to one. I missed those days. 40 to one. 40 to one. You said you missed not bad. You missed those days, Mike. Yeah. I missed those days. I remember I back when I owned race horses with a buddy of mine.
He had justified a 250 to one at the win. And he literally had to ask the question, hey, how much can I get? And this is the name of the horse. And that was before justified debuted. Now, not a lot of places going to book bets like that and the race side anymore. Let me just focus on the first part of that sense. Yeah, I heard it too. Because I heard nothing afterwards. Quote back when I owned the horse races. I heard a horse race. Wow. It's what he was playing polo. Okay. I heard nothing killing me today. I heard nothing after that. We're not saying it. No, I'm envious. It's okay. And then you have something in horse racing this weekend. Yes. Yeah, yeah. So if you're interested in the triple crown. If you want to follow it, check out Vison at the track. We've got our own YouTube page, got our own podcast. We're going to cover everything. Triple crown as we head toward the Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Yokes. This weekend is the comp weekend down at fairgrounds. That's the feature race. Derby points on the line. I really like the number five hollers. Golden tempo here. Eight to one on the morning line. Sherida Votrains. Jose Ortiz takes the mount. He's her main rider. The first time this horse is going to go to turns.
That's the big question mark. But there is a lot of speed signed on. Golden tempo came from off the pace last time. I don't think distance is a problem based on the pedigree. Golden tempo. Offly live in La Compte race number 13 at fairgrounds. This Saturday. Eight to one on the morning line. Okay. I keep getting tripped up by something he said. You just said he's got to make two turns for the first time. Yeah. So that the first race of his career was around six furlongs. So they only go one turn in six furlongs. You only on the back stretch. The far turn. And then the home stretch. When you're going to mile in a sixteenth, which is the distance of La Compte or mile in a quarter of the distance, the Kentucky Derby, you start around the finish line. So you have to go around the first turn. The back stretch. The far turn. And then through the stretch. Gotcha. So it's it's often a challenge for horses going from one turn to two turns. That's why I mentioned it. So far, everything Micah said, we've doubled back. I know I've had to stop. I just started thinking about turns in a horse track. I mean, they don't go all the way around the track. Apparently they don't. All right. Let's see if this part goes. Let's see if this part goes better. Hockey.
What do you have in the NHL tonight? We're going to go to the Minnesota wild. Currently my favorite hockey team on the planet right now because my Patent Lewis Blues are absolutely awful. Minnesota wild added Quinn Hughes via trade a couple of weeks ago. They have just gotten better and better and better. This is a team that's also starting to get healthy. I don't get there. I think they're getting the full respect in the market. Yet a team that I was high on at the start of the season based a ton of injuries. Now we're starting to flip the script on it. The Winnipeg Jets on the other side have majorly disappointed throughout this season. Right now, Minnesota minus 140 on the money line. They're not a good overtime team. They're not a good shootout team. So let's just play them in regulation. Let's go Minnesota plus 105 to win in regulation and just take out the overtime and the shootout side of this. Take the better team at plus money in 60 minutes. I like it. Okay. To the national football league. I asked this question on the megapod every week, which is if you had to play every single game, but you got one free pass, one game you wanted. No part of on the side, which game is it?
You have a distinct game this week. It appears based on the on the bets you have, which is and it's reflected in the line, I guess, right? Bill's Broncos, you want no part of that? Yeah, I don't want any part of that. If you want to tease the bills up to seven and a half, go for it. I have fun. If you want to try and play Harvey rushing props, go for it, have fun. As far as the side, I like this should be one and a half. The line is right. And we don't have to bet every game. And to me, this is the one where I didn't bet it open when I could have gotten plus one and a half on Denver. I'm not going to bet it now when it's it's right where I think it should be. I understand why people think through Harvey rushing props are great. I'm a little concerned because we've seen Glocken get some more of the carries there. And we've seen Harvey be a receiver more than a runner in certain cases. So I don't want to play that on that side. I don't mind. I know a lot of people like the Seattle Buffalo teaser. I can get behind that. If you want to throw it in there, I just I think this game is correctly priced in that Broncos and bills game. Pro tip. We don't have to bet every game. Absolutely. Okay. You do have a conviction though on the Niners and the Seahawks later on Saturday,
which way are you going here? Yeah, I do. Look, I realize this line is probably a little bit juiced up at seven. And I want to play Seahawks minus seven years. So make sure you find the seven, not the seven and a half. It's over there. It's circa right now. Was two and a half for Seattle week 18 in San Francisco. Now if you do the point and a half for home, that means this line should be right around five and a half for Seattle. My argument to that is A, you lost Kittle and B. If you go back and you watch that week 18 game, it was 13 to three going on 30 to three. I mean, that was a dominant performance by Seattle. I don't think people realize just how dominant it was. You go back and you look at a total yard Seattle doubled them up. It was 23 to nine in first downs in that game for Seattle. They had a downs turn over early in that game, missed two field goals. They left so many points on the board. I, and they still would have covered seven and a half by the way, despite leaving all those points on the board. And then you go back and you watch the week one game and you kind of forget when the 49ers were completely healthy, they really struggled to move the football
against that version of Seattle's defense, which is worse than the current one now. I think Seattle should be sitting somewhere around the eight and a half type number here. So I'm happy to go out, find the seven, lay the seven with Seattle. I think they, they control this game on the defensive side of the ball. All right, let's go to Sunday. Texans and the Patriots to start the day, which way are you betting this? I can't get to three and a half here. I just can't do it. We just saw the three and a half with the chargers. Are you telling me the Texans would be a pick them on a neutral with the chargers? I would back the bring stuff truck up on the Texas there. I have, I would have the Texas almost as a fulfill goal better. And now you're telling me I'm getting the exact same price in New England that I was just getting on the chargers with the Texans. Yeah, give me the three and a half here. I get it. There's no Nico Collins. I understand Stroud wasn't great. There is no way I could be told that this should be three and a half. If you want to say three and make an argument around the Collins and Stroud's stuff fine, but the other side of three is just wrong to me. So I'll take the Texas with three in the hook. You and I are simpatic on that one.
We're Oppo on San Francisco Seattle, but we are dead on on the Texans together. And then the bears and the Rams. Yeah, this is another one where like if you told me I could get the Rams minus one and a half on a neutral over the Packers, I would be backing up the bring truck. Give me the Rams minus the three and a half here. I think the bears have been phenomenally coming back and football games. You got to love what they may be able to do. You can't fall behind the Rams like they've been falling behind to other teams here and be able to to kind of claw your way back. I think the Rams take care of business and lean a little bit toward the under just because of the temperature and the wind that we're seeing. But I like the Rams minus the three and a half is the best bet in this game. Mike, we love you. We always learn something. Kelly and I are simple humans. We always love. We always learn something. I got one question. Oh, yeah. You ever rode horses on the beach with crashing waves splashing into it? I feel like you probably you're a Kelly guy. You have to have done that, right? I have rode horses up a volcano, but never on a beach with splashing waves. I'm going to leave you with this more badass horses go the opposite direction in Australia
and in Europe. Do you think those horses can also turn the same way they turn in the US or do they struggle with it? I'll let you think about that when I'll answer it next time I'm on this guy. What a tease. Steve T's. I bet they struggle with it. When's the next sharp money podcast with you and Patrick Mahar? We will be on Sunday or Monday morning covering these games talking about next weekend. You got to be sent at the track today. Okay. Be sent at the track. So so much doing the horse racing thing today. And it is sharp money on Monday. Thank you, Mike. Appreciate it. You got it, guys. Have a good one. Somal bomb 18 on Twitter, by the way. We get tweets beating the book. Uh, let me try to rattle through a bunch of these because I'm backed up man backed up on these tweets. This is a from. Uh, uh, I had to be a hit. Oh, can I just say this off of the sandwich thing because I followed up on that whole thing. So anyway, for those of you interested. And by the way, yes, I was interested. So the horses, right? It's fascinating, man. We know our horse racing is counterclockwise, right? Right. Okay. In Australia and England, historically, they have always gone clockwise.
So the question that sandwich was asking was, do the horses get affected by this? And I'll try to do my best to sort of explain what he was explaining to me, which is he said they don't because that they speed at which they go right there. They're relying on their inner muscles to make those turns. And so it doesn't affect them. But he does say every once in a while, you will see some musculature difference. I was just going to say. Yeah. If it's a classic American horse wouldn't you're like left shoulder then be way more jacked? Well, that's a kind of what he was saying. I'm not sure. Also, I'm not sure if Jack is a horse. I'm pretty sure it is. Okay. I'm pretty sure it is. Uh, also like how many horses though are going like, you know, how many American horses are racing in Europe and vice versa? I guess we didn't get to that. They'll have to have them back on. I don't know. I told you that you were laughing at this too. I had to follow up on the two third thing because it was all of like eight months ago that I learned that horses just run in a sprint like an England. Sometimes they're just like, go. Like, there's go one way straight a stick. Cardano. The giants are going to spend $100 million to still have the worst coach in the NFC East.
He's supposed to be a team building guy like Seriani only Harbaugh isn't good at it. Oh, wow. A stick. Cardano going in on John Harbaugh. So some like Sommage all riding horses or renderings here on Twitter as well. Yeah. What he did himself. So that was supposed to be him. Yeah. That was AI version of Sommage playing polo. Jesse Welch. I recall the previous polo expedition quite well. It was a super routing indeed. This is Fred Leonard's. My only hesitation with Jesse Beguil in quarter number three. Are we sure her finances are in order? Love the show. Thank you, Fred. Yeah. You know she's got a fight for every W every dollar. Seven point five billion dollar ares. Not to be confused with Emma Navarro. It was a popper with a $1.5 billion. And I don't know, man. That family just sunk a bunch of money in for a new stadium. Things are tight right now. Things are tighter. Dad is the owner of bills in the sappers. Joe, see our buddy, apparently Kendrick Lamar showed up at his daughter's picture day today. Wow. Well, there you go. Big get. Jesse Welch. Don't worry, Kelly. Reminders set for next December to tweet happy birthday to you.
Thank you, Jesse. Linda Cardia. We always love it when we have a lady who tweets in. Because we don't get much. We don't get many of those full disclosure. We don't get many of those. But Linda says, was Kelly calling Sommage an old guy earlier on the show? And by the way, I actually enjoyed the relaxed Todd wishing of you yesterday. Much easier to listen to. Thanks for the great shows every day. Thank you, Linda. You enjoyed the, uh, the depressed sick Todd wish now yesterday. I don't think I'd call it Sommage old earlier. Not on the segment, but I think so. Oh, maybe on Twitter, you did or something. I don't know. He's older than me. Apparently, apparently he had a past life where he own horses. He owned horses. He owned horses. It's like a maybe 65. And I just, he just looks great. He's owned horses. Riding them up and down volcanoes. Him and him and Drew on a podcast. It would just be like this. They'd be like, hmm, hmm, hmm. Be their whole conversation. Jason H 11 also gave me the rendering. Everybody give me the renderings of the commander stadium. I love you all for doing it. It is glorious. He says the new stadium rendering looks amazing. Even the combination pot farm slash parking garage.
Next door seems to fit into the surroundings. Oh, I, we came back from break. I think it was two segments ago. I was, I was over here laughing so hard. From Jesse's tweet, because that's what it looks like. It's the edge of DC. It is really like the corner of it. Nothing is there. Right? Except for that stadium. Yeah, just don't get why the. Yeah, there it is. One of the buildings again. Do you remember the, what was the movie guys that Will Smith did? A legend or whatever was like the, the I am legend with the zombies. And it's like the grass has grown out in New York. What? That's why are these buildings? Like this grass has grown out of these buildings. Daryl Green, who of course won Super Bulls playing games there in his Hall of Famer. He went when they were breaking down the old RFK. He did it like a TikTok, where he's sitting outside a chain link fence out there like, man, this glory days behind us. Like he just spent a day. It's like it was just growth vegetation growing over the area. Paul Zang. I mean, as we've done this deep dive, I have a feeling that is on purpose skill. Like maybe it is a go green sort of like, you know, initiative for parking garages or something.
Paul Zang. Paul Zang. I read the building surrounding the new stadium or parking garages. Yes, they are. Merle Betts. Two days in a row, Gil with the Seinfeld iconic one liner. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I remember saying that the other day. And today, Dale Bocavista. What's next? More sports betting scandals? Yada, yada, yada. Pretty much. Oh, Xavier 82. Help us remember. Have the English teacher or the Scrabble star who tweeted in earlier. Xavier 82 says, good morning, Jens. Awesome. Awesome synonymous. This is synonymous for the word. Awesome. He says, amazing, incredible, wonderful, fantastic, excellent, marvelous, astonishing and remarkable. All true. And he says, for outside the box, dope, epic, lit, sick, fat, the bomb, slaps. Haha, have a lovely day. Thank you. Appreciate it. Apparently I'm incapable of going around the English language. Our indigody. You got to bag it up. Hey, Gilly and Kelly, a group of us will be making our annual trip to Vegas for the big game in three weeks. We stay at Aria. Any recommendations for the best lounge slash piano bars in that area of the strip?
You seem like a lounge guy, piano bar guy. Well, you got the dueling pianos down at what New York, your lounge. I don't know. My new thing. Well, my new thing is the Highlanded lounges. Make a reservation at Delilah's. Yeah. Well, you can. That's what you're talking about. Carbone. Don't crack. Yeah. Master of puppets. Love the show. I love Nick stats about the Rams. Was that Nick Whalen yesterday? With that said, that's the whole year. The last six games says something different. Now add weather in that bear magic and we have upset city. Master of puppets likes the bears. Oh, crack coming up next hour. He says, can you unpack this a bit when you're on with crack later? It's definitely worth addressing. And I agree with you. Oh, crack tweeting out that Ben Affleck. The actor Ben Affleck mentioned that his son asked him for money to gamble. Oh, I did see that. I didn't see that. Yeah. So I'd love to talk about that with crack. He's like, it was like his 10 year old son or something like that. Yeah. It's not a laughing matter, by the way. D. Jen Southern Jen. Gil surprise you didn't consider Q3 winner to be learner TN.
TN beat many here in five sets last year. What was essentially his coming out party? Not that kind of coming out, Kelly. Ladies love learner. That's why they call him LLL cool J. He's great. I love learning TN. I was betting on him at the the qualities here in Vegas last year. But yeah, his numbers aren't good enough to win the quarter in my humble opinion. Great player though. And 13 year old son asked him for $13 to bet on sports. I'll find out from crack what the answer was. I'm curious about this. This is I will just say this Gracie, right? Mm hmm. My favorite person in the world. Gracie who is now 19 years old, just turned 19. But like all the dudes, like all the kids in her high school. I remember you telling me the one story. They're all betting. They're all betting on stuff. And of course I asked Gracie. I'm like, what are they betting on? She's like, I don't know. But I, I, one of them was in the back. It was we were driving somewhere about six months ago. He was on prize picks, I believe. Uh, and he just has opinions. He's been on and, you know, it's, it's a little alarming.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That everybody is doing it. Um, Joey bag of tennis balls also adds Kelly's 800 text number again for the show. Wanted to leave my personal information for you. Del Rey and you and LV in March. He's, he's doing the umpiring at Del Rey. He's serious. That's awesome. Yeah. Uh, and then Brian M. If you want to bet horses running straight, you can bet on quarter horses in the US. Some big, uh, payouts. Others are like, uh, not so much. He says Billy Charlotte ball, hoping in the future's breakdown. We can get Kelly's left shoulder jacked ratings for horses. You got to lead into that when you make that turn, right? I can see her. It is. All right. Here are all bets. I'm on the Niners plus seven and a half at the Seahawks. As mentioned earlier in the week. I'm on the Texans plus three at the Patriots. I'm with Sam Obama on that one as well. Uh, the tennis. I haven't made my, my Australian open ones because I was seeing them. And real time on the show this morning in terms of futures. But as far as my year-long futures, remember, Yannick center to win exactly three grand slams at plus four fifty. Ega to win exactly two grand slams at plus three fifty.
And then yes, should I add it a couple golf season longs. Um, in the same vein, Scotty Sheffler to win one major at minus one twenty five. Is where I got that at. And then Marco Pengee. Marco Penge to win rookie of the year. What's my number plus five fifty? There you go. Marco Penge, you sir. I have one NBA bet tonight's Celtics on the money line against the Miami heat. I just bet this it was kind of a. It was a strong win. It was going to leave it alone to see where the market moved. Moving to the Boston side. And then, um, saw someone that we respect is on that side as well. So I'm on the Celtics. Uh, all right. NFL this weekend. I see oxalates six on open bot a little bit back with nine or plus seven and a half. Laying Patriots two and a half. Uh, Drake May over thirty five and half Russian guards added that one yesterday. I think dude might have to run a bunch this week. Josh Allen over eight and a half Russian Russian attempts. Guess what? I think that dude might might have to run a bunch this week too. Bill's plus two fifty fifty to win the AFC while we cap everybody else's bets on the other side.
And Kelly's got some Sony best bets as well. And crack unscripted on a numbers game. B sports betting network.
