And numbers call this story. Yeah. It's one of those idiots who believe in analytics. This is a numbers game with Kill I like Xander. We said our number two of a numbers game. It's these sports betting network. Visa dot com game. Plus I hard radio YouTube TV. Of course, series X of channel 158. Kill I like Xander. Kelly Bidley. Alongside. Don't worry, Gil. Isaiah's here. That's right. He'll fix the lights. We're all safe. We're all safe now. Isaiah's here. We're like five dudes in here. I'm having a lot of fun with it now. I don't know what that is. Rob said when he comes back next, he's going to try something else. This is like every break. What are they? What are they trying to fix? The lights. The lights on top of you. Oh, they don't like someone. Okay. We can make a look extra bad by us looking into the wrong cameras. Purposefully. We get tweets that beat the book. I just want to read two tweets. I have no idea what's going on here. Right for this. Yes. This is Jesse Welch. A long time tweeter. He said, hey, Gilly. Last two days, you've called Kyle Shanahan by his dad's name like three times. I'm not trying to be douchey here, but figured you'd want to know. Is that true?
Not that I remember a kill. But I once I said, who did have gone past me? Yes, it could have gotten me. I remember saying Mike Shanahan when we were talking about the Indiana game. He's Indiana's offensive coordinator, Mike Shanahan. I don't remember. Okay. I don't. You didn't notice one of them. I didn't notice any. All right. Someone corroborate that from Jesse. Three times really. And now here's one. Even I like even better. J. Cop. 143. Umber's game is a great show when they don't get political and take jabs at people for not taking the jab. What? Be sure to be sure these people are listening to the same show. I don't get the second part. Then he goes builds a plus seven and Texans plus eight and a half T's or three units. He throws that into the head. Where they don't get political. Are you imagining us getting political? What happened? I have no idea what's happening here. Ladies and gentlemen, he comes to us from the LBC. courtesy of the progressive guest line, you follow him on Twitter. A whale underscore capper is the host of not one but two podcasts. The deep dive with any monitor who we had the pleasure of having Andy, that is in studio
last week. And then, of course, NBC sports bet the edge with Jay Croucher. It's Drew. Did sick everybody. Fresh off his glorious football weekend where he was at circuit to let us know you're on the weekend. Are you doing Drew? I'm great, man. I was surprised to learn that Isaiah Simmons is a special teamer for the Carolina Panthers. And he does the lights for a numbers game, very, that's, that's, that's cool. Good to see Isaiah's stick, you know, still part of the game. But yeah, I, I, I don't have any commentary on taking jabs at people for not getting the jab, but, but, you know, you want, you want a jab for not taking the jab, joke of it. She would have one more Australian open if he had, like, it's right, it's right because he famously was deported for not complying with the vaccine mandate in Australia. That's right. He flew in there. Wasn't like he didn't have to go. He went all the way to Australia. Did they stick a bit of hotel for like a month or something? That was the weirdest thing. So there were players stuck in a hotel room for two weeks.
It was great. It was crazy. Drew, we were just talking about something off air, which I think is just a great sort of sidebar betting thing that we don't often bring up, which is, it's so funny to hear people say, oh, that game was terrible, right? Indiana game was such a terrible football game, or, or last night's Houston, Texas, Pittsburgh, she goes, oh, it's such a terrible football game. But when you're on the right side of a betting, not so terrible, is it? Oh, yeah. It's the best, uh, the, um, the games where I had relatively little at stake on Saturday, um, were unbelievably dramatic, like, and, and, and honestly, you come away from those games thinking like, well, yeah, I mean, I get, yeah, I guess Panthers 10, Panthers 10 and a half was clearly the right side. Panthers 10, it's kind of, it's kind of a close call in my opinion, you know, a couple of plays go differently in that first half and, you know, that could have been run, runaway Rams. I wouldn't have been surprised, but, um, no, it's, it's, it's fun to be entertained in games where you don't have a ton of stake, um, but the games where you have a lot of stake
for me, we've included Patriots and Texans, um, you know, I'm, I'm just delighted, uh, in a game breaks that way and the up team that you have bet against just, just continually getting squashed and just like, yeah, just absolutely feckless on offense, um, like absolutely, absolutely love, uh, that type of outcome, um, and, uh, yes, the, um, I'm not an Aaron Rogers hater, uh, but, uh, I certainly don't, not a lover either, uh, and seeing him, you know, kind of come unwound in that fourth quarter against the Texans defense was pretty enjoyable, especially having a Texans, uh, bed and pocket. Yeah. You nail on the megapod, you, particularly, you nailed the, uh, the Patriots chargers handicap pretty dead on, but the Texans Steelers one, I think we all, I think you're, your handicap on that was dead on as well, which is, and I said, I said it during the week as well. That team generates past rush without having to blitz and it manifested perfectly, um,
whereas against the Ravens, the Ravens couldn't, Aaron Rogers can throw back the, you know, turn back the clock a little bit when he's not under pressure. It was a perfect handicap, and it's one of those where you do wish, like last night was one of those games, you're like, if only it was always this direct of a line from handicap to root to result, that was one of those last night, uh, curious, yeah, yeah, curious what, as you look at the four divisional round games now, where does the druidinsic conviction lie? Um, let me take a quick look at the numbers. Oh, these are all tight lines. Huh. Looks like the NFL has been sold, yes. Um, no, I'm just kidding. That's it. Ah, I'm just kidding. Um, uh, let's see, uh, I'll tell you, I played all four sides and you tell me which one you want to talk about first. Let's do a chronological order and let's start with a Buffalo game. Broncos. On the Broncos. Broncos out, right? Yeah. I thought that, I thought that line was, I, I was surprised that Buffalo was a tick of
a favor. Now, it's, yeah. And, uh, if there's a very straightforward handicap here, it is that the market, either the market's right and I'm wrong or I'm like the last person who remembers how valuable, um, the buy and home field advantages in this round, um, the adjustment that you should get for the extra week of rest and preparation, um, is, in my opinion, at least two and a half points, uh, it's good home field advantage in Denver, um, Buffalo has to go on a short week on the road, secondary week, play at altitude, um, their defense is not very good. Uh, they sustained a couple of injuries that are flying a little bit under the radar, um, and yeah, just generally, uh, um, you know, I'll, I'll pay to see Josh Allen be Superman again with, uh, against a much, much, much tougher defense, in my opinion. So, um, I don't really love a lot about the Broncos long term. Like, this is one of those where I get to kind of bet against some other internal feelings
about a team, right? Like, I'm, I'm not a bonus believer. I, I don't think this Broncos team is especially good. I could make a case that their defense is a little bit overrated by market, depending on the matchup. Um, Sharon Payton, I begrudging respect him, uh, as a Super Bowen in coach, um, all that said, uh, the, you know, the, the one thing that Trevor Lawrence brings to the table that's a little sketchy is his, you know, kind of, uh, knack for a couple of, uh, bone headed plays over the balance of a game where he's taking chances and he puts some, you know, puts his, uh, the turnover in, in, you know, or puts the ball in jeopardy. Um, bone X plays very differently. He's, uh, he's more of a, a very, very safe, uh, quarterback. He does not take a ton of chances. He is not going to, you know, when in doubt, he's going to put it a little bit away from his receiver where they can't make a play on the ball instead of putting it in harm's way where it's up for grabs. So, um, I don't think the bills are getting turnovers in this one. And I don't know that their defense is, uh, stopping, you know, stopping the Broncos from
having matriculating drives here. Uh, this isn't like a runaway no doubt, smash the board type of terrible performance. Right. But, uh, I do think the Broncos should be small favorites here. So I bet I'm on the money line, uh, and, uh, I think, uh, they close small favorites. All right. Uh, let's go to the Niners at Seattle. Seven point is toggling between seven and a half still right now. It's seven. Yeah. I, this is Seattle, uh, I think it should go to seven and a half. I played seven minus one, 13, uh, I think it will close seven and a half. This is another one where, uh, the advantage of having an extra week of rest and recovery is absolutely not massive for Seattle. Um, I don't know if you guys remember, but the last game that Seattle prep for was San Francisco 49ers. The outcome of that game was a victory for Seattle. And honestly, the score was not even indicative of how thoroughly they defeated the Niners in that game, in my opinion, um, 13, three kind of felt more like a 20, 43 type of game
to me. And I think Seattle's going to be able to run on the Niners in this one. I like what their running attack has become as they've got, as we've gotten later into the season. Um, San Donald certainly is not to be trusted. Um, and I think the time to sell your San Donald stock is nearing, um, but, uh, I wouldn't sell it against this Niners squad. I think the absence of kiddos going to be felt. I think the, um, you know, the lack of, you know, you know, a truly game breaking wide receivers, uh, is going to be a factor for Seattle. I mean, for the Niners, I, and yeah, I know DeMarcus Robinson was a surprise against Philly. Um, or I'm just, I'll pay to see it again. Kyle Shanahan is a wizard, sure, but, uh, he has, you know, if he didn't have the cards up his sleeve to, uh, to do some damage against McDonald and that we gave team game when the stakes were that high, um, that I'm not seeing it here. And, you know, for all of his belly aching about playing on Saturday on a short week, you know, there was, there was an outcome there, there was, this was in his hands at home.
He wins that weekend team game and guess what? He's got lots of rest for this game. Sorry. He didn't need to beg the NFL to put it on Sunday. Like, like, this was, you know, this is the consequence of, of losing that very meaningful regular season matchup. So, um, Seattle, to me, I think, wins by double digits here. So I laid this up. Yeah. I mean, Buffalo and the city would have the same gripe, right? That they played on this. Of course. Yeah. Okay. Real quick, because we'll save the Sunday games for, uh, for the other side here, anything in the NBA tonight from you? Uh, yeah. We have a, uh, a fourth of five head to heads between the Thunder and the Spurs. Yes. Um, three to three. And I heard you sign out for the Thunder, having the sell out for the Spurs, uh, line seven and a half eight, um, I laid Thunder here. I think this is, I know, they've lost three in a row. And the Thunder have a bit of a Spurs problem, um, but, uh, kind of the way the Thunder have started to find, um, offensive, uh, fluidity now with Jalen Williams back in the next,
I think, is going to help their offense overcome the Spurs, which has been, you know, the, the big issue with these matchups. Um, you know, I, I don't know that this is, uh, that of the year type of stuff in any regard, but, uh, my fair is 10 and a half. So I laid the Thunder and, uh, yeah, that'll be a fun game. All right. Good on you. I can't, I can't, I look at you to a scance the last time and made some Spurs futures based on it. Well, more NBA and NFL from Drew on the other side, maybe he's got some Olympics. I don't know. We'll find out together next. You're here because you want an edge. Kill Alexander, we at tweets, be to the book, Andrew, Rin, thank you, Tyler loop because he had Steelers to lose in the wild car round plus 330 over at Draft King, good on you, Andrew. And D, where did the other half of Kelly go looking good? Thanks, man, Kelly growing out the hair too now, by the way, Joe C714 for being the first one to post all of the streams of A and G, I still want the money gun. I still want the spyglass, okay, a signed head shot of Gill and we will continue to do the high five until it is crisp all for that's a promise, Joe, I got Chris, I got I've
got extra money guns at home, the spyglass, honestly, going to be the toughest thing to give up. Yeah. Pretty attached to it. Yeah. Yeah. Tronsky, anyone comparing Indiana, the best college football team of all times, completely delusional LSU 2019 still the best, even if Indiana goes not 16 and oh, the clear cut best team of all time, yeah, I can't really argue with that. They were spectacular, yeah, the Joe burrow, you say college basketball, oh, college football, maybe I say Mike Shanahan also Matthew Steinhardt, I can hear Gil right now, it's elevation. Did you say altitude? Is that what I have? 82 morning gents shout out to your guests today, Drew Dinsick and Andy Milator for half time, laying one and a half and two and a half Houston over Pittsburgh last night. Thanks guys. Have a great show. This was, I mentioned this at the beginning of the show. I didn't end up doing any pink pre flop, Houston, and if I did, I probably would have done first half in full game. So I would, they were slithose, but at half time of any NFL game all year long, you cannot make a case that that was a more obvious play on the Houston Texans halfway through that
football game last night and it was only was minus three and a half. Then CJ Stroud goes down field and proceeds to throw a pick and you're like, are you kidding me? But anyway, worked out, funnily chad lasso, people who get riled up about politics will find it in anything. It's probably because you're, you're a skins fan or because you bet against the Patriots LOL. I was like, I don't even know what they're talking about. Ladies and gentlemen, Drew Dinsick kind enough to join us for the second straight segment here as he is able to do each and every when it should every Tuesday here on the show, which we very much appreciated Drew real quick before we get back to the NBA and the NFL. You are on the Megapod. Oh, not, well, it's a Megapod we usually reserve for football, but you're on the beating the book, tennis slam pod. Once again, on Thursday for the Australian open post draw. I know. Right, man. That's exactly it's exactly how I feel. That's the good stuff. Real quick though, random tennis trivia. You just wanted to share it off air, which is just an interesting thing. Oh, yeah. This, this is the most like people, people were kind of losing their, losing their minds
over like McVay has played, you know, he draws the Bears this week, which is the 15th different playoff team out of 15 games, which is a little bit of an absurd. How in the world is that possible? But it's true. One of the 15th explain that 15th different. This is the Shaw McVay going up against the Bears this week is making his, this is his 15th playoff game in his coaching career, every, every opponent has been a different opponent. That's insane. That's insane. I didn't know that. Oh, wow. Okay. That's, that's going to come to an end next week. But I digress. I digress. I digress. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, the more ridiculous part of it is it's been in 22 cities.
He is not one of the same tournament. Try them. In his career, despite winning 22 tournaments, that is, well, it's, it's, it's like, it's, it seems, it's impossible. And you set it off, air like, if you, even if you were challenge on it, in his prime, like, you could not accomplish this if you tried. And you know, to make matters even more ridiculous. bit of he can't win on clay and he can't win on grass. He's going one grass tournament, one clay tournament. The other 20 were on hard courts and somehow no repeats, which is just boggles the mind. It's incredible. He's, and he's got to be aware of that at this point. I wonder what he would say. Oh, of course. No, he made a, he made quite a funny joke. He's like the ATP tour needs to come up with more cities. I can keep what he tells us. He's running out. All right. So the awesome. So we're doing the mega pot. The NFL mega pot tomorrow with cleave TA and then we drew Zach and I hopefully will all do the Australian open podcast on Thursday. All right. Any Olympics yet? Are we still a couple weeks out for you? Oh, no. We're warming up big time for Olympics. I got about half my
sports cap. I don't have any metal totals finalized yet. I'll be there next week. But we did get some important information on like the, some of the top line sports. Like, you know, the big draws, of course, figure skating for the broadcasting purposes and the United States figure skating team. Holy smokes. They are good. This is the best, you know, group of talent we've taken to the Olympics in any year. I've been watching Winter Olympics. The headliner is the young man from Vienna, Virginia. Is this the guy back flipping? Yes. Vienna, Virginia. You don't get points. You don't even get, and Kelly, do you know this? You don't even get points for the backflip. That's just a, that's just a, that's just a little, that's just a little, a little hot sauce. Yeah. You don't like twirls only count not flipping. That's not their most back flips don't. Yeah, it's not on their check mark list. It's more like ghost thing. Yeah. Yeah. From, from, from, from, you know, we
called the breakout athlete of last year's games. Of course, Eileen goo, the turn coat who competed under for China, even though she was from San Francisco. This year's breakout star is American figure skater, Ilia Malinin. He has two parents from Uzbekistan who immigrated to America. He grew up in Virginia. The anniversary. He is a four time national champion. He did not compete in the last Olympics because I think he was like 15 or something or 16, at least 20 now. And he is so unbelievably good at boggles of the mind. He is doing quads, which is to save four rotations after you jump off of the ice. And he makes them look, like, it makes them look easy. And like, typically, this was like, you had maybe a 50, 50 chance of landing these. He, again, he's making these look absolutely easy. His starting scores are so high there is virtually no way he can lose the gold. And yeah, like Kelly mentioned, he's doing back flips for fun on the ice. He finished his long program, which
again is like, you're out there skating for like four minutes. He finished his long program with a one handed cartwheel on the ice. And yeah, again, like, it's just flourished. It's not even counting for points. It's like high steps. But his, yeah, his program is absolutely ridiculous. And what's funny is kind of like a head scratching, like watching it on the broadcast is I don't even know why he has some sort of connection to the movie, like train your dragon. You know that animated movie. Whatever reason he has a connection to that. And so the fans of Ilia bring stuffed dragons to the venue and throw them on the ice in celebration. So you're sitting there like, what did I just watch? How is this possible? And then there's just a rain of giant black stuffed animals flying up to the ice. He's like, what does that happen? It's wild. I didn't know we were going to do figure skating radio today, but here we are. Awesome. We're going to make money. But give us
his name. His name once again is Ilia Malinan. Ilia Malinan down. There you go. Okay. We have to do this rapid fire. Any more NBA besides the thunder. No, no, just thunder for me tonight. Okay. NFL back to the Sunday games. We begin with the Patriots and the Texans. Which way did you go there? Yeah. This one's the toughest call. But at price, Patriots, I took the minus three plus one of two here. The pretty kind of straightforward handicap as you look at these teams is these quarterbacks are both going to be under duress. The offensive line for the Patriots was pretty awful on Sunday night. And now they have a tougher test with the past rush for the Texans. That said, I'm going to go ahead and just believe that the signal we got from Drake may all season carries through this game, which is to say he's going to get sacked many times. But he's also going to hit some homeruns. The Texans defense does give up the home run in terms of just the deep pass. And I think he's going to connect on enough to get
the Patriots across the finish line. The CJ Strava Yips last night was just outrageous. I don't think he's coming into another hostile environment and getting having a successful game. Patriots are not going to give up nearly as much on the ground as the as the Steelers did. The Steelers defense just in general a bit fugazi in the market. I think never really caught up to that Patriots defenses is right now upgrading very, very well at full strength. Obviously without Christian Gonzalez, but Nico Collins out for the Texans negates that loss. And I think in general, the Patriots can keep the Texans into the 13 to 15 13 14 point range. And I think the Patriots get into the 20s. So I laid the three. All right. Will it be four favorites for Drew with the bears and the Rams Rams road favorites here? Oh, I took the Broncos. They're dogs, right? Oh, well, well, not this morning. They're not. But I give you a pickup. What'd you get in that plus one plus one? Okay, got a dog. Oh, they are favorite now. Oh, no, that flips inside that. I didn't realize that. Yeah, it is. Let's go Rams. Yeah. If the Rams converted on that
fourth down in the first half, if Pukin and Pukin catches the clear and obvious touch down at the end of the first half, they win that game going away by 20 plus. And this game looks like seven. It ought to be seven in my opinion. I don't really know what the cases from bears outside of whatever, you know, magic they bring in the fourth quarter. I think they're in trouble. Drew, thank you for the figure skating above all. We appreciate that. Thank you. Just look us. Drew Denson, everybody. Jeff Erickson. Yeah, I have a, I have a megapod recommendation question. Yes, we're not megapod. Sorry, the Australian open. Yes, sir. Best Australian wines. Yeah, I have drew power in his Australian wines. Done. Done. Done. Better be ready for that one. Dinsick done. That's one of the great ideas is Chris Valoran, Drew Dinsick wine and tennis podcast right there. It's right there. Shrek McFeel on
Twitter. Sabah slash, she sabah linka slash ega plus center for Australian open in the Indiana money line pays around eight to one. People just throw it out bets. Wait, what? I think he's talking about a parlay. How how are both both those women winning it? Well, he means one of the two. Yeah, I think he means dude. I either one, I guess is what he's saying. That was partially part of that was Felica suggestion. Oh, that's right. It's Felica. That's right. Yeah. He had the center. Oh, the center center in Indiana. Sinners. The sh is for sure a thing. I mean, you know, there's car leaders still, but no coach, you know, Chris Heath can't stand politics on sports radio. I prefer religion. Maybe we'll do some imaginary religious talk as well. According to that. Also, also silent producer Christopher Lee could did chime in. Did you see your text message? No, I don't know. It's because you talked about Aaron Rogers doing his research. Okay. Oh, but that wasn't referring to that. You should Google there. If you think that's what it is, you should Google Aaron Rogers. Believe me, it's not about that. I wasn't thinking about that.
He's got tons of other research items. Trust me. Patti romp. 2023 Harbaugh Minter Michigan defense shut down the 2019 LSU offense. Prove me wrong. You can't because I may be a little too biased. Hashtag go blue. Josie says hasht. LMAO you guys are the best about his request for all of his prizes. Sean's Fox please. Interesting. If oh, Drew has any takes. Sorry, I missed this with the double screen teams are doing against the thunder on almost every play, which seems to be killing them and exposing their lack of size. You notice that? A little bit. Yeah. I mean, everybody's trying to run new different things at these guys that they haven't seen before. So it's it's something, man. They've been dealing with a lot this season. Grayson Rossi. Can we get odds on whether Kelly spelled that figure skaters name right that Drew just mentioned correctly? Plus 47 plus 478. First number that may not go. I googled it. I googled it plus 478. I was eager to see what I looked like after he shouted out. I lean goo. But you grew up in the bay. I lean. What are you doing? It is a dude. Brett Lidka. Yo, for all our triple digit Miami, nadi ticket holders. I think I found
a somewhat clean hedge opportunity. Parlay, Indiana with each of the four AFC teams left to win the AFC championship. Three of the four of the four pay three to one and the fourth four to one. One will win obviously in totals to be minimum minus 150 payout overall. Okay, my brain is exploding. Yeah, this sounds like the plate every number on the roulette board. Yeah, I don't think just to turn rewards boys. Sure that math worked out enough. Ladies and gentlemen, he joins us now as he does each and every Tuesday is not just a senior writer over at roto wire. Not just the cohost of roto wires fantasy sports today show at serious XM 87 or roto wires senior editor. I should say not writer, but he's also a cofounder of the company. Jeff Erickson joins us now courtesy of progressive guest line to follow him on Twitter at Jeff with the J underscore Erickson Jeff looking go with the hoodie was happening. Good morning, gentlemen. Just trying to stay a little warm little cool morning today, but all all as well. Otherwise, it's freezing. It's freezing and counting Jeff. It's fine. Cool for us. Jeff, if you would, it was like 50 this
morning. I'm with bungalow buddy. I'm with you. Oh boy. I get a lot of hard knock life for me. I get it. It's going to make him friends right there. That that reverts. All right, Jeff, let's do these. First of all, how did your wild car weekend go? How did it work out for you? I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got some props right. I got a lot of sides wrong though. Congrats to you. You were on the Niners. I was not. I thought this is where the the story would end. I thought this was a bad matchup, but some of my opinions were predicated on the respective offensive tackles. Trent Williams and Lane Johnson one not being able to play one being able to play and it was the opposite was true. I'm not going to say that's the entire reason why, though. I think they're plenty of other good reasons why. I think the biggest reason why is Kyle Shanahan. It's a much, much better coach than Nick Sireon and I, you know, it's just, it was really fun to see them maximize their potential. Yeah, it's, I mean, what a weekend of football. Believe me, I got my share wrong too. I was on the chargers. I was on the Jaguars. I did not go away on skates during the weekend
as well, which brings to the divisional round, which again, with the national championship on Monday. It's the last great weekend of football, obviously, two championship games in a Superl after that, but really just there's a multiple games. Let's start. Let's do them chronologically. I'm just curious what your, your reactions are on each of these Buffalo and Denver to start where the favorite has been toggling back now started as a Buffalo being a short favorite now. It's Denver currently. We'll see how this goes the rest of the week. Maybe as Kelly pointed out earlier, maybe it's similar to how the Buffalo Jacksonville line went where it just went back and forth. Any thoughts on this one? Yeah, it was like that. And like Bears Packers, how that toggled a lot too. My first reaction is that the total is too high that I saw at 46.5. I personally set it around like I think 44 is when I did my first pass through there. I just think that this, I don't trust Bonix to get to light it up against Buffalo. Now, I understand you involve Josh Allen and things are off. You know, you can change everything. But, you know, I don't know how well that Buffalo is going to be able to run the ball. Again, we saw they really
struggled against Jacksonville. It required Josh Allen being superhuman. And he was superhuman, kudos to him. I actually think Jacksonville played well in that game, but Allen was just better. I think he was just a little bit better than Trevor who was just a little off, especially early on. Like that first interception was really terrible. And the fact that they came up with no points that after the turnover and no points in the two-minute drill, that ended up ultimately seizing the day against them. Okay. Let's go. So the total too high. That's your first reaction to that game though. That's the big, that's the headline there. I have a hard time with the side. Yeah. Hard time with the side is well, though. Okay. Yeah. I think I'm leaning Buffalo, but I'm not sure. Yeah. I'm with you on that. And I agree with you about Jacksonville too. I mean, that game could have gone either way. Total Plinko outcome with the Jags and the Bills. Okay. Two game two San Francisco and Seattle game two on Saturday, where the Seahawks are seven and a half point favorites. At this current moment, I said seven moments ago, but it's seven and a half again, consensus, but this is bounce back and forth between that. Your thoughts here.
First is a non-bedding reaction. It's outrageous. They're playing on Saturday night instead of Sunday. Just absolutely outrageous. Both the Rams and the Bears played on Saturday last week. They should be the Saturday game. There's full stop. I think the Niners, this is like the third time in five weeks. They've been playing on short rest. Hate that. Just hate it. Other than that, I again think this is this was 13 to three last time out. And I know Seattle left some points on the field on that one there. 45 and a half is too high. My first reaction there is this is definitely too high. I would definitely take a look at some of those first half numbers again. Seattle tends to struggle a little bit initially offensively. So I don't think there are offensive issues. I've been completely fixed as well as they as good as they looked in week 18. I still think there's some stuff for them to iron out. So probably look at some first half unders as well. Okay. Both the bills and the Niners on Saturday playing six days after their previous game against teams that have by the previous week. Both of those teams in the same predicament. Have we done this the past couple years? The team with the teams with the buyer always on Saturday? We try to
avoid it. We meaning the NFL tries to avoid it technically. But I don't really try too hard. Yeah, they don't try that hard. This was easily attainable. I mean, I understand in the New England Houston Houston played on Monday night. You can't play them on Saturday. I get that. But the Ram Chicago game there's there's no excuse for it. It's an obvious easy solution. It's right there. It almost felt like with the Ram Chicago like they purposely made it a night game to make the weather as bad as it could possibly be for like, you know, just the viewing joy, I guess. All right. Let's go to Sunday morning where it is. The Texans and the Patriots to start things out. Patriots are three point favorites. Yeah, they are. I like the under on the Drake May passing yard. So 233 and a half. We just saw what Houston did to Pittsburgh. Obviously it's a step up in class for this defense. But I think they're ready for it. Maybe seemed a little bit off. The past protection seemed a little bit off in that game against the chargers. The the Pat's defense was amazing in this game. But the may seem a little bit off. And you know, maybe just one game of
experience will change things slightly on the side for the Pat's. But I just think Houston's offense is just that that sketch as well. We saw CJ Stroud make some baffling decisions last night. It's just that they are playing the sealer. So they were able to overcome it. All right. And then to the night cap, the Bears and the Rams at soldier field where again, the high supposed to be 14 degrees. As we look at it now, you know how weather forecast go. 30% chance of precipitation, which would mean snow, wind chill of about 12 miles per hour right now, which is a little tamer than it then obviously I could be far worse. Rams are three and a half point road favorites. Yeah. I think the wind is really the big factor here too. We've seen a lot of cross winds and soldier field that can just wreak havoc on a passing game. That's the one thing I'll kind of watch for there a little bit. You know, I think if the wind is manageable enough, I like the Puka over 98 and a half receiving yards prop. I think that's one where the Bears DBs are just very, very much attackable. And you know, we've we've shown that this African go over
and over and over to Puka again. So that's one I like there. Side wise, I think I like the Rams, but it's it's again, this is a very close call. I want to kind of marinate on this over the course of the week. My first initial take is I had the Rams at minus four and a half though. I hadn't five and a half, be honest with you. Yeah. And I was a guy who was on the Bears last week, but I still don't don't. My thing was they got one more week of the Magic Carpet Rive Wars. I'm hearing most people are like, I'm not going in front of this team anymore. And so I think that plays into what the line is here at three and a half, but the weather could could rear its head against those kids from LA. Jeff always appreciated me. Thank you so much. Take care guys. Thanks. Jeff Erickson, everybody at Jeff underscore Erickson. Jeff with a J will come back. Number one draft odds and Rick gave it on golf. Coming up. Numbers game on. There we just got political vote wig party. Good God. Hey, I want to ask you about this thing here. Kelly, you're a golf guy. Brooks Kepka. Yeah. We're turning to the PGA tour under this new program. And I just wanted to get to the bottom of this because we will talk with Rick gaming later about his golfers to look out for in the 2026 golf season. This amazing massive one and done golf pool that he's doing that everybody can jump in on. We'll get the details on that. Talk a little strategy on that. So in a memo sent to PGA tour members on Monday, copy of which was obtained by ESPN. The tour said Kepka is expected to make his return now to
the farmers insurance open at Torrey Pines in La Jolla. That's January 29th. He's also expected to play in the the waste management Phoenix Open TBC Scottsdale following we would love that tournament. And Kepka is expressing that his real dream as a kid was to play the PGA tour famously. He left to when played live golf. And I think I speak for most of the country when I say I have watched 0.0 seconds of live golf. So the PGA tour while while live definitely got the PGA to change some of their ways prize money and perhaps being or the way that they dole out money. Yeah, being sort of the biggest thing. In the end, nobody ended up watching live tour. Correct. So the PGA now has concocted this returning member program, which allows live golfers who have been away from the PGA tour for at least two years and won the players championship or one of the four majors masters PGA US Open Open Championships since 2022 to return the PGA tour
under certain conditions with severe financial penalties. I'm laughing because the parameters of that are so narrow that it only applies to four guys. Yes, correct. Okay. Of the other three besides Kepka being Dechambo, John Rom and Cameron Smith. Yeah. Those are the only guys that are interested in having back. I'm not sure if the PGA tour wants Cameron Smith back at this point. Okay, he's just the thing he just got in. But he would be one of the qualifiers. Yes. Okay, they would love to have Rom and Dechambo back of course. Okay, so the the penalty here. It's a one time defined window not a precedent for future situations. This is like the this is the PGA tour like gun to the head sort of thing. This is, hey guys, you want to jump ship? We let Brooks do it. Now's the time. Now's your way. I mean, they said a date February 2nd. You have to declare this by. So it was really a message to Dechambo and Rom that if you're going to make this decision, we'll make it right now. Make it right now. As part of Kepka's condition to return according to the memo, he agreed to forfeit any player equity shares for the next five years won't be eligible for the $100 million FedEx Cup bonus program
2026. After at the PGA tours request, also agreed to make a $5 million donation to charity. PGA tour. Last thing on this forfeiting five years of potential equity in our player equity program represents one of the largest financial repercussions and professional sports history. Our estimations are that Brooks could miss out on approximately 50 to 85 million dollars in potential earnings, depending on his competitive performance and growth of the tour, which is basically saying, yeah, well, if he won these things, he might win all this money, but you know, so we'll just couch it that way and make it sound good. Yeah, that's part of what that's one of the programs. Oh, they set up like in, in, you know, to fight live a little bit. So like this was the equity program where these guys all kind of share some of this from the pool. You get a little bit more. If you're, if the further up, you see the further up, you finish and then obviously further up, you finish and then also in some of the like the social media, how much awareness you bring to the game. Right, but like a massive amount of it's like the FedEx Cup bonus itself. That that alone, it's that right. Like so it's like, oh, you know, Keppga just to give it the fight. Keppga's statement was, I accept. That's all he said,
because Keppga's like, wait, so I get to keep all the live money basically, you know, for the most part and I get to go back and play the PJ tour. He's the big winner in all this. These four guys potentially have a big winner. Oh, I mean, I just, I think it always comes back to the same old question, though, with these guys, what meant Morty, money, money or legacy? They got everything. They got their cake and they got to eat it too. I mean, a little bit. I did. It's going to be a lot of money. A little bit. It's a lot of money. Yeah, but he still keeps keep all that live money. Sure. He'd need any more money for I just good, you know, they they they win. Those four guys win to me. Anyway, I thought that was pretty interesting. So Brooks Keppga back on tour here in just a couple of weeks. It is, uh, it is a hundred to a hundred and twenty million dollars. He has made on live. I'm saying. So what is all this other like the problem is I actually thought this was pretty strict and well done by the PGA tour because the problem is you are going to have a lot of these guys. And I think Brooks is saying all the right things right now. Of course he is. You have a lot of these guys. Why you letting these guys back period? Well, yes, that which is which that's what the PGA tours trying to walk that fine line. Yes, they are, which is that's why I say
those four guys that are eligible Brooks among those four. They're the real winners because they got their cake and they and they're eating it too. They get to go back and play. Well, we'll see, though, man, like these guys are, you're talking about, I mean, especially with products, right? Rom and dishambo. I guess a little bit different story, but I out of sight, out of mind, like, you have, you all three of those guys, I think hurt their legacies overall of how they're going to be thought of in the game of golf. I think so. Do they care with all their money though? They took all that money. I don't know, but I know. I think I do know. I think Brooks Keppga coming back tells you that he cares. Yeah, but again, it's like, but you took all the money. And then, yeah, that point, you get all the money and now you care again. So what's the, I mean, what's the downside for them? They got everything. It's like, you're right. Maybe I think golf history, it'll be a footnote, right? Like we say about if there's a, if they ever let the peat rose at the berry bonds as of the world into the baseball Hall of Fame, you'd have a plaque that said,
oh, he was also suspected for steroids, right? And a plaque, but you let him in. Yeah, maybe there's a, there's a line about that in Brooks Keppga career. But like as a him as a human, he got all the money. He stats and numbers matter, right? The number of wins that he could have had. That's always going to be lost. So that's played all the majors, didn't he? You got to play in the majors. I don't, I don't know what the, I don't know what he lost in all this really in the end. I just don't know. Yeah. I don't know. He couldn't be a nicer guy. I mean, look, it's if you're a golf fan, I don't think like none of it. It's been politics. It's been stupid for the past few years. You need to get all these guys playing against each other, though, like it was sad. It's all been bad for the sport. It's been bad for the sport. It's been bad. And look, for better, I don't think it's been great either. Like I can't wait to talk to Rick in a little bit about approaching one and done. It was always a strategy for years that because of one because one and done rules, and if you're not used to it, it's like survivor with golf, right? You select someone every week. You can't select them again for the rest of the year. You're not out. If your guy doesn't win, obviously, we just can't select that same golfer. So obviously one of the
kind of main strategies for one and done was, well, you got to save the live golfers for the majors because that's the only time you're going to see them. I think Rick will run through some numbers with us. Like that wasn't exactly a great ending up in great game theory or a great strategy. Yeah. Drew got his chance to give NBA plays. He only gave one. Yeah. You have a couple. I do have I do have a couple. I am kind of laughing because the that is I think the I think the the thunder the thunderside tonight and probably the Broncos too. I think I could probably make pretty good arguments for both those and I'm good. I'm good. Gil. I did the Jags last week and watch Josh Allen just be a god. And I don't really feel like going up against that today again. And the Thunder Spurs is I have not been on the right side of that outcome so far this season. So I am very good skipping those games this week. I do have two in the NBA. I did bet Hawks overnight. Money line at minus 110. This is moved pretty significantly. Though they are three point favorites. It would still be Hawks or nothing though. Lakers coming off back to back against Sacramento last night. LeBron has not played in a back to back situation.
Yet this season. Look at donch. It's also questionable for this game tonight. Like Atlanta. There as they are working in their new players after the trade young trade. And then sons. I do like tonight. They have moved to a one point dog. I have I bet them overnight on the money line minus one 15 and get a little bit better number than me right now. Since December 18th this Phoenix team 10 in three second best net rating in the NBA top 10 offense and defense. Going into Miami never easy. We always know that. But this heat team man. They've been middleing recently six and seven minus three point six net rating since in that same time period. That is 23rd in the NBA offense really struggling to get it going after we saw them very very effectively using that early in the season that kind of new system that we've heard from players. They they think I kind of got figured out here. So the sons. I maybe the team I was I don't want to see say most wrong on just didn't see them coming like this this year and they have consistently been solid all season long in the Western conference. Drew did say something off air.
Though we're talking about remember he had his whole thing he said it actually on this show last week about how he is waiting for the thunder sort of nadir right the bottom point of the of the thunder yeah to then jump in on futures. He didn't say it on air today but he said it off air his his point his moment is when's the last time they play the spurs the thunder. Oh February fourth that means February fifth is this morning to do it say the my whole futures plan this year is not working at all because I an unlike true. I don't have any interest in getting back on that for futures positions this year. It was great last year. I'm glad they was all cached on all the Western conference and NBA finals positions I had on the thunder. That playoffs last year was enough of a sweat for them getting by some of those teams. I will not be looking to do that. What I was hoping to do kill was that the thunder would keep winning and that the nuggets would lose a bunch of games while Nicole Yokich was out and then grab some Walnod's on nuggets. That really hasn't happened as they've won games they shouldn't be winning. Thunder trying to beat the spurs for
the first time in four tries tonight. Wow coming back NFL number one pick in our power rankings next on a numbers game at Vison the sports betting network sports betting network.
