A numbers game on FESET, these sports betting network back on a numbers game live from circle resort to Sino down town Las Vegas, go out and Kelly Bidlin, still to come hour awards for the NFL awards, all of them, who we would have voted for had we had a vote. Again, not through the prism of our bets, who we would have voted for. Right. So I'm going to have some that I will be on my bed, but then I'll hold others that nobody against my bet. And like the tweet we got earlier, sent mine to Danny on Friday, did not want any of these games this weekend to influence influence me because they shouldn't they should not regular season award Jeff Isaacs on Twitter, I'm an Eagles fan and I don't get the big dom nonsense either. Guy does nothing is on the sidelines with a head said, it's not a coach, tributes nothing to the game. And the TV announcers fall over a stick just sick of it. Glad the seasons over. That's I love it. I was going to fill these Philly sports radio this morning is going to be a tacky one. It's going to be great. Is good.
I did you catch? I was I don't like I was on a ton of social media for the game. Did you there? Man, I saw like the local news reporter or interviewing some like 13 year old kid who's just just killing the Eagles. Eagles. I don't, yeah, I don't mean to take joy in it, but man, Eagles fans, when they lose a big game, it is you get some quality content out of that. That lasso says show this to Kelly Herbert's just taking the Michael Jordan path next years. The year. He's relating. He's relating Justin Herbert to Michael Jordan. He points out that Michael Jordan lost in 85 86 and 87 in the first round. And then it was the dynasty. I'm going to bet you that he doesn't win as many rings as Michael Jordan. That's probably good bet. Yeah. Probably good. Paul Nelson. Isn't the simple play this week for the Seattle San Francisco game to go under for the third time this season. You're right, man. We might be overthinking it. But I will say this. I took the Niners plus seven and a half minus 109. So the point of resistance right now is seven is going from seven to seven and a half
all morning, back and forth. I just grabbed the seven and a half minus 109. That to me is a bridge too far on this. Yeah. You said it. I think that and we've kind of seen it this morning. I think seven and a half is where we're going to see that resistance. I don't think I'm going to get a better number than that on Niners. I will be buying some of that as well. Again, I laid six pretty half a yesterday. I just stations opened it up. I don't think there was another six on the board that I saw anywhere else six and a half it's circa. But that pretty quickly went to seven. Most places open this at seven. Kittle Kelly's just another just absolutely unbelievable trauma for the Niners. Yeah, that's huge. That's huge. Huge. But again, let's see if red blunder shows up. Good. It could be a thing. How about football? So my and my weekend. Oh, sorry. I felt Mike renter who will get on here soon to talk some NFL draft to just and why it earmuffs. Maybe if you're back there just to wrap up the packer season real quick, the he just to put into in a perspective, how big the Micah Parsons injury was, right?
Or maybe, maybe, maybe not, right? They were nine, three and one and up 23 to 21 on the number one seed in the AFC when his injury happened five straight losses to end the season after that. Tell you go down. I believe my line at the time was you just lost your superpower. Yeah. Yeah. You did say that. Yeah. Five straight losses. Yeah. It was hard. It was hard after that to treat the Packers in the same way as you would remember they were a legit Super Bowl content. Yeah. Before that. I mean, for most of the beginning of the season, I had a lot of respected NFL handicapers that I was talking to. It was, they were a top three, four power rated team all season long. Pretty much. Yeah. Packers team. Look at the switch. Can the Packers and Eagles come back next year and be two of the best teams in the NFC? Yeah. They call it. But man, this is, this was long season. They got to figure out how to move on from Dave Montgomery is with me. David Montgomery says, I have no patience. No patience for these phony, tough guys like Ben Johnson who refused to act like sportsman after the end of the game. The coaches have demonstrated their actual toughness as players, guys like Rable and Campbell
never seem to do this. David Montgomery, I don't care if people think I'm old. I am 100% with you as I said earlier. Get out of here with that nonsense. See, par cells doing that. See Bella check, oh, Bella check was kind of cold, but he didn't do it like that exaggerated. Yeah. See Joe Jackson Gibbs doing something like that. No, the ultimate class. Stop it. See Vince Lombardi doing that shut up, Ben Johnson wins something and then maybe even begin. You shouldn't even act like that when you win. That's when you shouldn't. That's right. Pick 10 says, yeah, they're going bakers here in Philly. I lasted two minutes on sports radio this morning. They're killing Brown and the OC head coach. Brown has to go. No attitude sucks. I'm with you. Pick 10. He's got stick. It's a got to go situation. What's his contract situation? Three years. He'd be something my buddy Ray was saying. He'd be a good raven. He'd see him. Oh no, he said he'd be good playing with Lamar. Both of them in Miami. He said. That's what he said.
All right. Last question about this. Let me just ask the sports talk radio question about this. What's the biggest story out of this entire weekend so far? Obviously the Texans and Steelers haven't played yet, but like we'll ask me this question on should a bit more last night. And I answered it in each conference. What's the biggest story? I think I don't think it's conference for me. It's NFL period. It was the frauds got exposed. The frauds got exposed. It was Packers Eagles. We all thought there were Packers Eagles, Chargers. We kind of kept making the case for all these to you know, we didn't think the Jaguars were frauds though. No, no, I think that's that's the one. Game. And I said about the Panthers, too. Like Panthers Jags bills was great game came down right to the end, right? I don't think the Jags played a bad game at all. So no, I'm not putting them in that group. I think specifically it would be Chargers Eagles Packers for me. And where I think there's a lot of people and I'm not blaming you like, I bet the Eagles last week too. A lot of us thinking these are the teams. The rosters are too good. This can't continue. It can't continue and it did like it just it just everything that we saw towards the
end of the season ended up playing out in the first round. The playoffs and they're going home and these teams that got hot San Francisco and yet everything you're talking about Ben Johnson post game, I agree with you that. Hell of a coach, man. I'm in Shanahan. Hell of coaches. And I can't. I don't know. Is he panicked in the first half? Like I was like, okay. I don't know. I don't know how much of that panic and how much of that's him saying, I don't I don't want to give the ball to Jordan love as much as we put his team down 21 to three instead of 14 to three by that decision. I mean, I mean, this is not armchair quarterbacking as they were doing on him. Like what is he doing? Right. I hear you. Um, my answer was more simple. Mine was just like, Hey, Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills is the story of the AFC, like, you know, no Patrick, my homes. This is supposed to be his year and so far, so good to more games, obviously, to get to the Super Bowl. Um, so nothing is nothing is solidified yet. But that to me is the big story. And they're like that this team on the will of this one dude, it's incredible.
It's just unbelievable. I mean, I will be betting against him again. This playoffs and then in the NFC, and this won't be a popular answer, but I said it's the Niners just because of how much can this team overcome? Is this the end of the road? Like this is just want to potentially, it could end potentially one of the most incredible stories ever just in terms of the players lost. So that's why even if they, I mean, if they, if they get wrecked by Seattle, it's still an impressive season with what they had to deal with. Absolutely. Um, so as I said, with the top of the show was a great Thursday and Friday night for me in college football. I can't seem to miss in college football. And then Friday, Saturday was fine in the NFL and then Sunday yesterday, he just got crushed in the NFL. You got you with the Indiana ticket going in the championship right, 10 to one, Danny's got 60 to one on Miami. I had Miami in the Miami game. I had Indiana in the Indiana game. I laid the points in both Miami eaked it, but they destroyed in the box score, right, it should have been easier. Yeah. Just absolutely crushing Dan Lanny and Oregon, go away, Dan Lanny, and I'll stick, and
I've got the Indiana 10 to one ticket. I'm, I'm amazed at this spread. Now it will ask me on the show last night on his podcast. He asked me, do I think Miami can win this football game? And I said to him, I go, no, I don't, but I'm glad I have the 10 to one because I ain't laying eight eight. What was the look ahead number on this? Do you? Five and a half was looking at. Thank you, Danny. Now here's a button now with my ticket. I think it makes sense, though, Gil, do I take the plus eight and try to hit both because there's a little voice in my head that says, I don't know, I could see Indiana blowing them out too. That's, that's usually they're done take one game where the, that lines five and a half and we're out to eight. And I'm sitting here saying, yeah, it makes sense to me. Indiana has looked, I feel like I feel like, no, I could be accused of talking through my ticket, but I really think the Miami ticket holders are talking through their tickets. When they're, they're, they're coming up with, you know, the legitimate, I'm not saying they're, they're making stuff up, but they legitimately feel Miami has a good shot, a
good matchup shot at beating Indiana. And what I, what I counter with is what have you seen at all that makes you suggest that this is a possibility because if the, if the story is you think you're going to pressure for an endomandoza, he gets rid of the ball so quickly that ain't, that ain't the thing. And dude, that kid is so accurate. It's unbelievable. Anything can happen in one football game I acknowledge, but again, I will say if Indiana was wearing Alabama uniforms all season long, we would be treating this team entirely differently. I've said this for a while now, but I think we are now. I think it finally hit that. Finally, the market is, but 16 to know is what they are, the cusp of again, a record only, you know, in NFL lore that we've talked about before, right? The Patriots going 16 to know, but then losing in the Super Bowl. Indiana trying to go 16 to know as a college football team. Um, man, oh man, with, you know, 23, 24, 25 year olds.
I love it. I've been blown away. Can't wait. It was shocking all season. I've been even more shocked just these last two games. And then for mandomandoza out to what minus 1200 now to be the first pick. And I, I think it's right. I know I'm supposed to take the plus eight to try to hit both. I'm not sure I'm going to do it. Yeah, I don't know. I'm with you. I don't know if I would be either. I don't know. A week from tonight at hard rock, home, home-ish game for Miami, though. Of course, man, coming back with our awards next. You're here because you want an edge. That's what separates listeners from winners, but let's be real mindset alone doesn't get bets home. This is a numbers game with Gill, I like Xander gone Vsyn. Our number three of a numbers game at Vsyn, Vsyn, Vsyn.com, Game Plus, I heard radio, YouTube TV, series XM Channel 158, Gill, Alexander, Kelly Bidlin, everybody, a little buddy, producer number nine, so much more than a producer. You follow him on Twitter at KLA Bydlon. How was your weekend with your family? Was in town. Oh, great. Yeah, my mom and stepdad. They rarely come out here. So it was great seeing them. Great meeting them. Nice to meet you. We were watching the map was with, we were at the map brown was with me, we were at the Zach Brown. Oh, yeah. Concert at this fear. That was that. We were watching, we're watching the end of the Packers Bears game on his phone in the sphere. Oh, man. So literally like the fourth quarter was when the show was started to get started. You imagine if they threw that game up on that video, the visuals would have been cool. We get to eat speedy book. Great swammy gator. I have far more tolerance of a guy loses than his quick with a handshake. Not when you win. Not like that. Hashtag. I'm old like Gill.
Yes. Hey, you know what? You want to call me old for that? You go ahead. Because I'm right. You're wrong about that. If you disagree. I love Circa, but I rather have Gill on sound in the book. And Stephen A is I grind my morning video poker, just saying Jeffrey Benson. Can you look into this as soon as you and Roger Goodell are done with your morning script meeting? Thanks. Stephen A's got the big screen. We're on a little smaller screen above him script meeting. That's great. And you and Roger Goodell on your script meeting Bill Palmer, a plus to a as you grind out your video, booger. Jason McKinney. I'd like some Demiko Ryan coach of the year, love. All right. We'll find out if one of them goes to one of us goes Demiko Ryan for go to the year. Shrek McFee may have missed it, but when is the draw for the Australian Open and the Megapod stoked. Great question. Megapod this week is Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday afternoon. We will do it live. Megapod for a divisional round. Cleve TA is the guest for that. We'll throw it up in podcast form.
At least by the next morning, I'll promise you that. And then the next day, so Australian time, time zone issue, the next morning, our time is when the draw comes out, so we will do the Australian Open podcast Thursday afternoon drew dense exact Cohen and I. All from the wind studios there. Grayson Rossi says, I saw I use struggle against Ohio State. That's what I saw. I'm not sure how you can say Miami cannot beat Indiana when Indiana was taken to the wire against Ohio State team that Miami dominated. Well, look, I did say anything can happen in any one game. The question I was asked was, do I think that that Miami can win? I do not. I'm not being literal though, obviously, of course, they have a shot, anything can happen in one football game. I just don't see it happen. No, I like, I'm, I lead towards your side, man. This is the, I mean, like everybody who listens to this show knows about the biggest college football guy. Of course, I've consumed, I've watched every single one of these games the past few weeks, though. And no, Andy's got 60 to one on Miami and you've got the Indiana 10 to one. I think if I were both your shoes, I, I can't say for sure, but I'm kind of leaning
like you said, where I don't even know if I'd bother. And if I was Danny, get your money together, bro, you got to find some cash here this week and get hedge off that position a bit. Duke of the South played Miami live. If it went Miami get, if it went Indiana gets up, you should be looking for plus 10 or plus 11 or better. Yeah. But Duke of the South, I'm going to do it. I'm going to do a pre flop. I'm not going to let these train get out of the station, though, either, right? Miami goes up first. My town gambler with Indiana having the largest living alumni base. You got to wonder how much of that minus eight is public money. Boy, West Reynolds was not kidding when he said when he's on the show live from Atlanta the other day, he said 80, 20 at least who he was not kidding. I am my analysis was 92 to eight. Yeah. I don't know if Lee could listen to any other Miami people right now. Larry obviously directs our show. We got Rob back there, both South four people at one time. My, my, my guess was before that game, if it was Miami, Oregon, Miami would have the fan advantage. I don't know that they're going to kill this Indiana stories incredible like West Reynolds,
how many alumni are just following them around like the grateful dead at this point? Because you, I mean, this might be a very, very special season, right? And you don't know when you're going to see this again. I think that is going to be a very, very, very packed, my house of Indian fans again. My buddy T and senior year of college didn't see him until Halloween. I'm like, T, where you been? He goes, dude, I've been following the dead around. Let's do it. Awards. Our votes. A numbers game. Annual tradition. Ah, yes. The morning after the Golden Globe Awards. That's right. You catch any of the Golden Globes last night? That's why I planned it this way. It was on purpose. Of course you did. You catch any of the Golden Globes last night? No, I did not. When it went, no, but I woke up to some headline of my photo of Nikki Clasor with a scathing like opening model log. Like, isn't that what we're looking for out of her? Is that why she keeps getting these gigs? Of course. I just had two comments about it because I did after all that football. I was like, let me just do some brain dead.
Let me eat in front of something else. So I watched a little bit of it. They had a podcast award at the Golden Globes. Best podcast. Did we win? I, the Megapod was not up for it. Nor was, it's called Long Shots. Was Danny there? Danny wasn't there to accept it on her behalf? No, he wasn't there. The Amy Polar one. And Amy Polar's podcast, I hate to say it was not as good as the other ones. Anyway, they have that. And they had polymarket curinons before every award was given. What do you mean? On the broadcast? Yes. So they did a dual thing, like Kevin Frazier from Entertainment, I don't know who the other guy was, but they like did a two headed monster like play by play of the Golden Globes awards in between what was going on on stage. Yeah. They could flash up the polymarket odds. Okay. I'm more, I'm more, I'm more, I'm more confused by this stuff. Get down with your bad self, gold, gold awards. Well done. I don't get the polymarket like slow rollout thing. So like what they're showing odds on that, but nobody can actually bet that in the United States yet. Yeah. Right. Like, I love it. I mean, all I'm getting is money lines on games right now.
Good for them. I think it's a golden globe is from the foreign press Kelly. We're in press has a global element, maybe that's the connection that global element to it. All right. Ready to do this? Yeah, man. Let us begin with MVP. Who goes first? Me. Yeah. You Matthew Stafford. I know you Drake may people out there. I know you love Drake may some fears. But ultimately, when you look at their numbers, edge Matthew Stafford, sorry to say, Matthew Stafford, who right now, again, his regular season, 477 yards, 46 touchdowns, eight picks. And Drake may, I don't want to get too crazy, you know, beyond counting stats, but usually counting stats are all that seem to matter to most to most voters in this kind of thing. Drake may by contrast, only 31 touchdowns against eight picks and fewer yards than Matthew Stafford as well, 4,394. So to me, it's very simple and it's a lifetime achievement award voters are going to think,
hey, we have more chances to give it to Drake may Matthew Stafford is my vote for MVP. Yeah. Yeah. Once again, though, like this is this is our votes. Right. So it is the like the lifetime achievement thing. Like, are you really taking that into account? I don't know a little bit, but no, by stats, he wins. So like it's, I guess for me, it's a little bit of a against a harder schedule in a harder conference and a harder division, which that's the cannot be understood to me. That's the biggest difference. You guys, if people don't argue with us on the stats, that's fine. Like Drake may have some rushing numbers. You have to put that and I think there's less talent around him. I think that's fair. I expect a very close vote to come down for MVP. And I don't really think I don't think it's fair for anybody to be bashing either side. I know we like to speak to our bets. Sometimes those two both had incredible seasons. I think the vote will be close. I would go Stafford though as well for everything that you just said, and especially the toughness of the conference in the division. Offensive player of the year. Guys, we need the flourish again.
I tried to kill and Kelly have split offensive player of the year. Yeah, it would just go. Okay. Puka, Nakawa is my choice. Puka, Nakawa, if you're going to play it, play it loud. Puka, Nakawa, we did the four headed blind resume between Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, Jackson Smith and Jigbaen Puka, Nakawa. They are all very comparable stats. They have all had spectacular seasons. But for me, when you just step back and you say to yourself, and you say to yourself, self, who is the best football player? The best football player is Puka Nakawa with all of his unbelievable one handed catches, all of his tough runs, everything that he does on a football play when they need him, when they need to play, they go to Puka. He's the most reliable player in the NFL. That to me is the offensive player that you're taking nothing away from anybody else on that list. Puka is my vote. Yeah, you know what, man, this one, it's actually kind of easy for me. And I feel like I've been on this side. Puka, Puka, to call it to me is the best net wide receiver in the NFL,
but this is offensive player of the year when I break down what these guys did during the season. The stats are close, right? But J.S.N. still with the lead in the receiving yards at the end. And I just can't get past since day one. And I was I think a lot of this is for me being a little bit more of a downer of this team this season, right? We talked about that. I had those preseason bets. And from day one, it was just they got J.S.N. But who else do they have in really all season was Sam Donald back there for J.S.N. to put those kind of numbers up when every defense knew he was going to be the focus of the offense, focal point of the offense, weekend, a week out. It's just incredible to me. Puka's awesome, but he's got a great quarterback. And he's got Devonte Adams on the other side. It's splitting hairs, but I I'm going J.S.N. I say nothing wrong with anything you're saying. I'm just saying if there was one play I wanted, I'd take Puka Nakua defensive player of the year, tough one. Miles Garrett, Miles Garrett. Yeah. Okay, that's it. He won the sack. He got the sack record. That's it. Chris might be in the real test here, buddy. How quickly he could reset for this?
Now the next one who we got, see offensive rookie of the year. Oh, this is kind of boring. I'm going to match them. I'm going to Tenerolo McMillan just like with Stafford versus May. I just did simple stats, right? I did. I did McMillan versus a Gbuka. Then I took Shuck versus Dart like as a bracket. Shuck, excuse me, Dart beats Shuck on stats. McMillan beats a Gbuka on stats. And then when I put it Dart versus McMillan to me, Dart ultimately, for me is elevated because he's the quarterback, but McMillan actually had the more impact on a team that got to the playoffs. Yes. And that's ultimately the difference. I don't really have anything else to add with it. I think the interesting part there to me is, is there a chance that we're way off and that that that's a, it's a McMillan runaway? Oh, yeah, there's a possibility because I like, I still think that we're talking about a few guys getting some, getting a lot of love in this award. And I think it's going to be close, but man, I think there's a possibility of that.
Like what you just talked through is basically the way I, I approached it this weekend. And I feel very, very confident in who I've settled. All right, we'll talk, we'll talk to Adam Burke in between and we'll continue this. Yeah, a couple more, more flourishings to get to including coach of the year. Let's do it. Adam Burke on the other side, all his thoughts from the weekend and moving forward. College in Pro. It's a numbers game at Vsyn, the sports betting network. Numbers game on Fisyn, the sports betting network. Oh my, huh, Stakes. Look at those chicken wings, Kelly. Grilled chicken, just like you like them. Actually, you like the other way, don't you? No, I always grilled, always grilled with football meets flavor with Vsyn and Omaha Stakes, the official sponsor of tailgating. And right now when you spend $129, you could score two pounds of fully cooked chicken wings, plus 50% off site wide at OmahaStakes.com slash Vsyn. Don't wait, spend $129, get two pounds of wings and say 50% site wide on Stakes and More at OmahaStakes.com slash Vsyn. That's OmahaStakes.com slash Vsyn minimum purchase required C site for
details like I'm grilled, I like I'm hot, I like some garlic on there. Oh, well, I like garlic, I like it. We get tweets me to the book. I just want to read a few more here. We got a lot to get to. I'm a John Balducie, John, John Balducie. I'm not talking through my ticket. I have Miami futures. I didn't expect this coming through and have no idea how to get something back, not laying minus 300 with Indiana, Parley, Indiana with IGA, French, Scotty. Probably just let it ride. Miami's going to get smoked though. He says it's not very confident in his ticket. The problem is the only clean hedge is to bet Indiana on the money line. If you start polluting it with other things, what was his number, though? Did he say he did not say? I mean, Danny is 60 to one that he bet right before the college football playoff. Start like, you know, but right when you guys were betting them to get in the field, he took a sprinkle of the of the champion. If only I was smart enough to have done that. Do you know what you were smart like daddy, Gil? You know, he's really daddy. He's the, the, what is it? The students become the teacher and what for four months? Here I am. Here I am. I'm excited about the 10 to one ticket on Indiana.
What's it? I'm a loser with an Indiana 10 to one in Miami plus four 50 getting into the playoffs. I could have there Eric B thought you guys might enjoy this. Not that Eric B by the way, thought you guys may enjoy this. My colleague sent me this tech Saturday morning. And now he's one win away from caching a 42 to one Parley. For some reason, I can't help but root against him. I'm insufferable. Here's the reason why he's running against his friend. His friend sent him a text. Hey, I made a sports bet. Not sure how this works really, but here's my bet. Do I have to all of all teams win or beat the spread to win money? It's called a parlay is how I bet I think this guy, money line parlay, the bears, bills, Niners, Pats and Texans. So his buddies actively rooting against his Texans. Oh, man, I would be that same way. That's awesome. Anyway, we got wayward to get to which we will. But Adam Burke joins us right now courtesy of the progressive guest line. You can follow him at skating tri pods on the old Twitter machine. Adam, good morning to you, sir. How are we doing, boys?
We're doing well. We're doing very well. By the way, we're just doing awards NFL awards. Do you have a sort of outlying thought on the awards? Are you a Cleveland Browns fan? Would you have both Miles Garrett and Carson Schwestinger winning their respective awards? I mean, I hope so, right? I mean, you know, Garrett kind of making history a little bit. Schwestinger, I mean, just an absolute tackle machine. It's just tough, though, you know, to do. It's tough to stand out enough on these teams that aren't very good, you know? I mean, typically for better or worse, a lot of these awards kind of become team awards. You know, your team has to be really good for you to be considered for some of these different things. But in the case of Garrett and Schwestinger, I mean, at least that defense was so good that, you know, people kind of appreciated what Jim Schwartz was able to do while the team was busy, you know, winning five games or however many of the ended up winning. So I'd like to see both of them win. But honestly, guys, I'll do a little bit with the awards market stuff and Major League baseball, but it's very hard for me to get involved with them, you know, in other sports just because,
you know, it's, you have to handicap the voters as much as you have to handicap the stats that these guys are putting up and that just becomes such a gray area. It's so messy that, you know, for me, I'd rather just focus on the day to day. What was your big takeaway from the first five wild card round games that we've seen? Well, I had a few of them, you know, I think one of them being that, you know, I didn't understand the line move in the 49ers and Eagles game. I really truly didn't get it where I mean, this 49ers team has been beaten up, banged up all season long and, I mean, they won 12 games in the regular season, wound up with a better record than Philadelphia did. I feel it, I'll see a team that by the way started 4-0 and then was 7-6 the rest of the way. So I really didn't get that line move at all whatsoever. You know, and I did have a piece of the 49ers albeit at four and a half instead of, you know, the top of the market there. But, you know, the Eagles were a team that just, they didn't play very well, you know, in the second half of the season down the stretch. They didn't seem like they were entering the playoffs with, you know, a whole lot of good form.
And I think that's something to kind of point out here a little bit where we talk about it more in the NBA and the NHL where these teams that are trying to make the final playoffs spots. They've been playing playoff games every single week, week after week. They don't have to flip the switch. They don't have to, you know, just all the sudden start to care. The Eagles have basically had that division one for half the season. So I'm not surprised. They weren't really able to flip the switch, whereas San Francisco has been fighting for their playoff lives, you know, and definitely fighting for seating, you know, for several weeks in a row here. You like anything tonight between the Texans and the Steelers? I mean, look, like we all just assume like Tomman's going to find a way to win this game with the inferior team, right? Like that's just kind of how this thing goes with who to Mike Tomman there. I will say, you know, I think in the playoffs, I think we kind of saw this over the weekend a little bit. I tend to gravitate towards the better offensive team. If it's a game where I'm kind of on the fence, or I don't really have a tipping point, it's going to take me one way or the other. I kind of tend to gravitate toward the better offensive team because look at all the execution that we've seen in the fourth quarters, you know,
of these playoff games here, Rams and Panthers, a back and fourth quarter, Bills and Jaguars, same thing. The Bears, I think by the end of the year, we're a better offensive team than Green Bay. They didn't square their first touchdown in that game until there was 10 minutes left, and they scored 25 points in the fourth quarter. So I tend to gravitate more towards the better offensive team, and I do think that Pittsburgh is the better offensive team between these two. Houston's defense is clearly exceptional, but I don't know, man, Tomman just the dude always finds a way and somehow some way much to grind my sugar and he'll probably find a way tonight. Yeah, I keep saying in my head, I like the Texans for reasons I've stated, they'll put pressure on Rogers. And yet somehow I've never gone to a book to press submit yet. So I don't know if I'm going to have anything on this because that little voice, that Tomman voice is in my head, the one that you're just portraying like you flip flop three times on the show already, just in the past two and a half hours about no, I'm not flip flopping. I'm just in my bedding Houston or my just not touching right now. That's what I'm going to the stealer. So that's what I
meant. Um, all right. What about the lines that have been established for the three games that have been established next week for the divisional round? You like anything there? Well, I think I will say real quick in this Houston and Pittsburgh game. Um, look, just because it's a standalone game, just because it's the NFL playoffs, I know this is a very unpopular opinion. You don't have to actually bet the game. If you don't feel like there's anything that you feel strongly about, maybe you can find a player prop or you can find a derivative, make a first half or a second half bet, something like that. But just because it's NFL playoff game and it's in a marquee time slot tonight, doesn't mean you have to bet it. You know, if you don't feel strongly about it, it's all the listeners out there. You don't have to take anything in that game. Um, as far as the divisional round goes here, um, I, I think the bears are still kind of disrespected out there in the marketplace. It's going to be a miserable game for the Rams. It's going to be bitter cold. Probably going to be windy. It's Chicago. It's called the windy city for a reason. I guess give me a pretty tough one for the Rams where, you know, I think Chicago is just kind of used to overcoming it at this point in time.
Ben Johnson's got this team in pretty good form. I think defensively they've gotten better throughout the course of the season. Offensively, he's figured out what's been able to work. I don't know if they win the game necessarily, but I think a four point head start for the bears is probably a pretty good look here. Even though they look pretty bad for three quarters against Green Bay, followed away to get it done. Again, that's just what they do in these close games. Uh, so like Chicago plus the four a little bit right now. And honestly, I'll probably take New England against whoever they play, whether it's Houston or Pittsburgh here. Uh, I think the Patriots are a little bit disrespected too. I, I think they're a very good football team. Vrables and excellent head coach, Drake Man can do a lot of different things. I think that, um, people just don't really believe in the Patriots and maybe they should. I don't think the chargers are very good, but they dominated that game pretty much. So I think I'm going to have you on the Patriots, uh, regardless of who they play, but of course we'll see what the number comes out at. All right. Numbers, game listeners, please do not know. I'm anticipating a torrent of Chicago windy city origin tweets. Whatever someone raises them again. It was from the hot air
politicians, hot air windbag politicians in the 1800s. Please, please don't tweet those. We, we know what they are. The origin is however, still something Kelly learned on the show this year. That's right. Yeah. And the year things I learned. That's why we love our audience. All right. Uh, let's get to the national championship. Adam, I'll ask you about this a week from now because we'll be the morning of, uh, if you appear with us next week. So I'll revisit it then, but I'm curious eight points right now in favor of the Hoosiers with a total at 48 and a half. What are your thoughts here? Yeah. And even eight and a half showing at the, uh, the books for the masses here, draft Kings and Fandall this morning. Um, look, I mean, we're talking about a three point adjustment from where this look ahead line is. If you talk about eight and a half being the number because it was five and a half going into Indiana's demolition of Oregon, it feels like a little bit too much of an adjustment. Um, I think Miami is a very good team. I think their coordinators are excellent. They've done a great job adjusting throughout the course of all three of their playoff winds here. But it's just one of those things where I look at it and I think man, eight and a half
sounds good. Miami's defense might be able to slow down Indiana. Nobody else has been able to Carson back, you know, did some things that Ole Miss game that he had done in the two previous playoff games. And yet it's very hard for me to drum up the confidence and that's a stickular fortitude to go against. That's me. What cursing that he's doing here. Yes. Like I just, it's very, very hard to do. And I know like the numbers guy in me says this is probably too high. It's a massive guy who's watched Indiana blow out two teams here in the playoff goes, I they're going to win by 17 20 and I'm going to look at myself and go, why did I make that bet? Well, this is exactly me. I have an Indiana ticket. I should be taking Miami plus the points, try to hit both. I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm with you. Great, great phrase. I lack the testicular for it to do this after what we've seen. Adam always a pleasure, man. Thank you so much. Take care, boys. Adam Burke at Skating Tripods. We'll come back more awards. We are going to have to suspend our friendship for this week. Yeah. I think so. He is not happy with any slike. I get it. I get where he's coming from. And I
like imagine like I like to think that I respect to the minds of you and Adam Burke a lot. Would Adam Burke just lay down and we as we have to this is moved three points from what a look ahead line is. Oh, it's way too much against a team. I agree with that. And it gets a team in Miami that we have the utmost respect for it. All three of us are still like, yeah, I'm not rushing to take those points. I would never lay it. And yet here I am with a massively wide open middle to hit both. And I'm still hesitant to do it. Jason, Jason McKinney once again. I'd like some Tamiko Ryan's coach of the year. Love for my 51 ticket other than the name on the uniform. I think Indiana is wearing the same uniform as Alabama, both Crimson Chad Lasso. AJ Brown would be a great niner. Get I you out of there and give Shadahann as Julio 2.0. I like that one. Steve Mezzinger. Don't talk about Bill Palmer in the sports book. Want Steven a off the big screen in us on. He goes me to give me anything else. Who would what a the problem is is what are you what are you doing with an AJ Brown trait?
It's a trade. He's under contract. And the guy, he seems lovely. This is my point, right? The guy, if you're the, I think teams trying to trade for him, think they're going to get a discount or something. I don't think they're getting a discount rules for society. Brandon Iyuk, what a teammate. See, responding to the other guys tweet, even mistakenly said to me, Jason McKinney. I know Jason. You'd love Tamiko's Ryan. Tamiko Ryan coach of the year. Love to Jason to set that tweet three times. Tronsky. Gilly. Um, this Indiana love has gotten out of hand. I'm supposed to be neutral as an SEC guy. Both teams have four potential first round picks. That doesn't include freshman Malachi Tony. Signeti has proven to be the new Saban, but seven and a half or eight points. Let's go. Canes. No, I'm with you. Tronsky. It's too many points. And yet Matthew Livingston. Hey, Gil. Have you seen the conspiracy that the Texan Steelers game results have already been posted on Google X? If so, how much of your net worth will be on the Steelers tonight? I've not seen this. Jason McKinney with you at another time. I'm assuming that say just a very
cobbacle show because otherwise, hopefully nobody's really paying attention. Yeah. South Carolina MAGA. He says I was wondering when a dead reference would be made given the sad news. RIP Bob. Yes. I was talking about how West is following around Indiana like the grateful dead. I said it a couple times last week. And then Bob we're passes away this weekend. Jason Stark said as you mentioned the dead again today, it's important to note that Bobby Weir, who has been the lead singer for dead and company after Jerry's passing passed away this weekend. RIP Bobby Weir us dead heads in morning. I thought a very cool tribute by Zach Brown Band that night. He had passed away earlier that day on Saturday, very cool tribute by them that night. They also, they also continued. I think one of the cool things that I've seen at the sphere so far and I've seen all the like rock bands, I guess that have played there. So I don't I don't know if it applies to everybody, but everybody's kind of done a little bit of a nod to one of the bands that's come before the atmosphere, which I thought was kind of cool. Like you two and the Eagles. Yeah. Yeah. Brian M. If Puka gets offensive player of the year, does that hurt Stafford MVP or vice versa? I don't know. I mean,
we were talking about that was swashing her and Garrett too with defensive players, right? Your guess is as good as mine because we're talking about humans voting. Some will feel that way others will not no telling how many though on each side of that silver at silver six zero four three seven three five seven. I heard Gil's dead story about his friend. I had the same thing happen. My butt was supposed to be in my wedding, but told me four days before the big day was going to see four dead shows. I told him enjoy and he was out of the wedding. Much head wouldn't have done well. How? It's like you're out of the wedding because you want to see the dead. Charlie D USA number one. I love award show production. LOL. You guys are great. Thank you. And Michael Salvino, should you start hosting the Golden Globes, the Guilden Globes? I'd love to. The Guilden Globes. There it is. Richard Burkhard. Danny. LMFAO, he said. Yeah, that's what I call Danny Higgins. All right, let's return. Let's return to the we have more tweets to get to. Well, let's resume our numbers game at FL award show with deep defensive rookie of the year. Yes,
where we are split. We're split here. I went Carson Carson Carson Carson. I went to check it and check for the she hawks with crochet. I went Carson Schwessinger. You went James Pierce, Jr. of the Falcons. Yeah. I went Schwessinger because, as Adam Burk just said, the man is a tackling machine. Yep. He's got two picks. He's got two and a half sacks, but he has 67 solo tackles. Mm hmm. So that's why I went with him. Notting to the fact that James Pierce had double did it sacks, but okay, if this is a sack award, then you're right, but I'll go with the tackle machine. Yeah, the, I mean, look, Schwessinger's way up there, right? It looks like he's going to win it. I don't tend to have sacks for James Pierce. When it comes to this award, I do fall in defensive player of the year. I fall in the more basic. If you're getting after the quarterback and putting up sack numbers, you're probably going to be the guy I'm looking at. This is what I think is
interesting with Schwessinger. There's two little kind of talking points here. I think this is the like a little bit of the Michael Montessano, like a year ago, trying to figure out which thunder, perimeter, defender would kind of get the most, the most acknowledgement from what they've contributed to that defense. And it's like, I don't like inside going back in and like that kind of linebacker just doesn't matter as much anymore as a pass rusher does, but the tackle numbers are insane. So I'm, I'm, I'm interested to see. I think it's going to be closer than what the odds indicate. I have a feeling he still wins it though. As Adam said, yeah, yeah, it's, that team was such a disaster. But when you get to point at how good the defense was, it's still having to deal with an offensive bad. It's pretty impressive. And out for the big one, coach of the year. Let's get this one coming up on the golden close. George Clooney.
I'm going Mike McDonald me too. And if you want to accuse me of talking through my bet, well, I think killing I both did a good job of not doing that most of the season. So accuse me as you will now. Do I think that Kyle Shanahan is really the coach of the year? I do. But I also said that if he didn't get the number one C, right? If they didn't win that Seahawks game in a week 18, that he wasn't going to get it. And I held true to that. Had he won that game, had the Niners got the number one C and I would have said Kyle Shanahan. But the Seahawks got the number one seat. And they got it in the toughest division in all football. We're three up the four NFC remaining teams are from his division. He got it in the tougher conference. He got it as a coach that had the exact same season win total preflop as Mike variable did with the exact same record that Mike variable ended up with doing the Patriots. But instead, he got the number one seat. And he's a defensive coach whose defense held opponents to the fewest amount of points in the entire NFL this year. Mike McDonald is your coach of the year. Yeah, he's mine too. He's my he's mine to him right there with you. I look, I think this is going to be a very split vote.
I think that's fine. I was just thinking about this while you were talking. So sorry, I'm going to throw this at you blind. How would you rank the coach of the year candidates? Like give me your one through three or four. Because I'll tell you, it would, it's Mike McDonald, one for me. Yeah. I think this is where people would, it would surprise people. It's Liam Cohen number two. And then maybe I'm talking about variable, but I think Ben Johnson is going to get love and belongs up there too. I go McDonald, one variable to Shanahan three. Shanahan too. And if you voted for Shanahan, I had no problem with it because what he's done is amazing. Come back, player of the year. I'm not going to make any money if it results in list, maybe you're on the same page. Yeah. This was really between Christian McCaffrey and Trevor Lawrence. And you know what? You know what? My decision was made on the nature of their injuries. I was like, okay, who came back for worse stuff? Trevor Lawrence last year, he, you know, he ended his season on
IR lingering shoulder issue. He had ankle sprays, he had AC joint issues, all of that. It was just an awful. You can cuss at the end of the year. But Christian McCaffrey bilateral Achilles tendon is PCL sprayed in his knee. That on the hamstring and ankle before that Christian McCaffrey almost having a thousand yards receiving and rushing just shy of doing it for a second time. Mainly a great year receiving rather than rushing by his standards. But still, he's just been a great performer. It's Christian McCaffrey. Yeah. The rushing numbers are fair to point out what is lowest yards per carry of his career, right? Whatever. It's fair to point out my counter to that, though, would be this is approaching this very much like I approach offence of player of the year. This season starts. They've got injuries all over the roster all over the offence aside of the ball. You're going through different quarterbacks throughout the season. And for the entire season, Christian McCaffrey, you're able to just lean on in the passing game when you need that help. You know, he talked to the yards for carry, but obviously in the running game too.
Yeah. And yes, the nature of the injury that he's coming back from, I think that puts him above Lawrence. You're right. The two guys most often injured for the Niners, Trent Williams and Christian McCaffrey historically. Yeah. Two of the more available players this year, especially with McCaffrey. We'll come back. We'll recap the bets and wrap things up on a numbers game at Vista, the sports betting network. A numbers game on Vista, the sports betting network numbers game live from Circa, Resort, Casino, downtown Las Vegas, Gil Aleksandre, Kelly Middleton, Felica. Felica was particularly upset about the line. Indiana hasn't been stopped by anyone. Did I say that or did Berkey say that? I don't know. Or did I say? Did you say it? I don't think it's probably not. Chris Felica's about to lose it. He's about to lose it. No anti Miami slander. He's got to deal with the one week more of this. I'm assuming you're going to hear a lot of that.
We'll get Felica on this week, though, because we'll get his, he's very honest take. He believes that Miami matches up very well against Indiana. Christian Marge on Twitter. I was lucky enough to get on Miami just before the selection show at a hundred to one. To hedge, I rolled the dice, took Indiana plus 120 to win it all before the Oregon game could have screwed myself, but Indiana is a damn wagon and glad I did now. Nice. Well done. John's Fox plays no clean hedge on Indiana, but what I'm doing is my okay, you follow this one, you follow this one, Kelly. Micro hedging, a quarter unit bet, all to NBA points line or rebounds line, Indiana money line and about soccer, all total goals over one and a half with Indiana money line by Monday. I should have a nice position. Okay. What's the, what's the specific NBA in soccer? I have no idea what's happening. He just said he's betting NBA. John's Fox plays, whatever you're doing, I hope it works out. Yeah. Can I read Chris's? Yeah, go ahead. Chris, this is how he would suggest hedging his the Miami bets, because he has one, two, he has 150 to one. I think the same timing, right? Anything between 60 to 150 we've heard. He's going to go Indiana money line. Yeah, that's what you have to do.
And Yannick's, no, and he's he's parlaying it. He is parlaying. He's going to go Yannick's center in the Australian open and to minimize the money line. So that's what someone else was tweeting earlier. What do I do? Do I, do I parlay the Indiana money line with ego French or Scotty Sheffler tournament? His was, it's Chris Vellico's was Yannick center in the Australian open. And my only response is again, just no, it's not a clean hedge, right? Because those things, it's possible that those things can't happen. I'm with him on center in the Australian open. There, there is the you could now you could do, you know, this is like the kids ladder up, right? Like this could be that. Like you could put the bulk of your money on the clean hedge. If you want to get something, you know, something more at a better price like this, go ahead. Yeah. Square Bob 2022 feels like nobody has had a bigger impact in the NFL this year than Ben Johnson. The Lions are lost and the bears turn around was beyond any reasonable expectation. They've been one of the worst teams in the NFL the last five years. There's no question you're correct. Ben Johnson has been awesome. However, it does bear noting that the Lions were
kind of panicky last year against Washington. And there was awful panic. It seemed to me in the second quarter of that game this past week. It worked out. He also should show, should show more class in the handshake. But yes, your point is correct. Ben Johnson as a coach this year, spec, tackler, taking nothing away from it. Other than that, other stuff I just took away from it. A stick cardano. I like, I like Houston tonight, but betting against both the Rufus and Dr. Bob is a minus EV way to go through life past. Yeah. I'm with the ace. Brian. How about them setting it the same number two? The same exact number. I was like, oh boy. Moranon. Wendy cities from hot air long winded hot air long-winded politicians. Wendy wish never Wednesdays. Mr. Mr. Bob Apple. Mr. Bob Apple. Always hear some guests saying you don't have to bet the game because it's standalone. Or if this was a regular season game, would you bet it? That's the problem with gamblers. We do. What's the point in watching if there's no action? Just change the bet size. Hey, you know what, Mr. Bob Apple? That sounded like a really reasonable tweet to me.
Though I would caution once again, you don't have to bet anything. Either way, I didn't have a bet prefabricary line of Rams game. And I felt kind of weird. The first NFL game this weekend. Oh, I was so glad I didn't have a bet. Yeah. So glad I didn't. Duke of the South says middle for less. He says to me, I think he said that to me about my in the end of taking middle for less. I'd even do the like, if I was in your spot and I was going to consider that, I'd probably sell it down to say, if you're not going to get an eight and a half, I'd probably sell down to seven and a half. It'll be a better number. Ia, oh, yeah, six, nine enough said Joe burrow five career playoff wins, Justin Herbert zero career playoff wins. Oh, I do. Well, we got to go a long way before we start comparing her Justin Herbert and Joe burrow Bobby Getty's regarding the Josh Allen Tushbush. Did you guys mention that the Jags let him score once he got the first down? Yes. Yeah. Or did you not think they were letting him into the end zone? I thought it was obvious. Yeah, yeah. No, they completely let him in point being that if they the scenario we were talking about is everyone's like, ah, you got a kneel there. And then you got to go for it later. And we were just saying, yeah, at that point, though, they're not letting you in, right?
With 20 seconds left, they're not letting you in at that point. I also don't believe in the I don't believe in the kneel. I believe what you saw earlier in the season where you kind of just do the like slight fall, fall, like, you know, gain a half that half that distance, right? But like that, you know, it was it was funny because the one of the nose tackles, the defensive tackles that was right in their guild. I don't know if you saw it on the replay. He literally just like walked back. He walked back. The Tushbush though literally Josh Allen get ends up getting pushed back into him and they're like six yards deep in the end zone. Like the detack will still got hit some out. JT speed to burn 725. Can you find NBA coach of the year anywhere? I want to bet Joe Mizzoula. I'm going to guess about everywhere chance to like Joe Mizzoula chance. Copyright. I have futures on both teams in the nadi place in the summertime. This never happens to me. So I'm just going to sit back and watch. But I want Indiana to win. So I don't have to see Irvin's celebration again. Talk about Michael Irvin. Just indeed. I didn't hear you guys mentioned it. But did you see the all proteins were announced over the weekend? I know Lamar was first team last year, but Stafford was named first team this year. Yes. Important to note that did happen with Lamar last year. Also worth noting though,
those Stafford MVP odds at Calisheal like minus 480 now. Yeah. Based off of that. But he's saying he was that the trick was that last year that Lamar was first team all pro but didn't win him. Right. Right. Matthew Livingston has a lifelong Bengals fan. I'll be betting on the Texans in regards to the other conspiracy about the Niners injury was get out your tit foil hats literally electro magnets. People people are really buying into that and DJ and Southern gen would it be square to tease Indiana down to minus two. I know that it's generally frowned upon by the cool kids tease college sides, but seems like a great way to get at the Hoosiers in this spot since I don't already have any investment. What's your dance partner on that? This is my question. I was just going to look up Seahawks or Broncos. Torch D the one to put this out in your panties and the bills Broncos game Caesars has the second quarter total over 12 and a half minus one 18 hard rock under 12 and a half plus one 55. Who's add who's odds are wrong under 12 and a half plus one 55 huh? Interesting. Jason H 11. I did two teasers Broncos Seahawks six
points Seahawks bear seven point. All right. I only had one bet. Niners plus seven and a half minus 109. Okay. That's great. Well, it goes and globe flourish once again. Coming up 49ers plus seven and a half. This has been toggling between the seven and a half and the seven all morning long in the Niners Seahawks six seed one seed divisional round game next week. My guess was terrible on this game. I admit, but seven and a half. You give me the hook. I grabbed it. That's my play. Let's go Fred Warner show up. I am on some on the other side. See Hawks. I did lay the six on open. Like I've been saying, oh, sure. I think I am going to buy off some of that. I'd expect this was I thought it was going to be right around seven seven and a half. Honestly, Gillette thought it was going to be opened like seven and a half and it would get miners money and push it down to seven. So I'm going to be very careful. I might be buying on the Niners here very quickly today because it's mainly it's like mainly seven and a half out there right now. I would not be surprised though if this does get back down with people like you like in the Niners. And then
I'm on the Texans tonight. Texans tonight did lay the three on open going up against Rufus and Dr. Bob. We'll see opinion on the total tonight. I really don't. I mean, I guess if I'm see the thing is like I'm not I'm not super in love with the Pittsburgh defense. I think a lot of people if you're looking at the Texans, you're probably thinking all this defense shuts the Steelers down and that's how they win. I think it could be a combination of that and the Texas offense moving the ball a little earlier easier than people are expecting Adam Burke was here. He's taking he took the Bears plus four and a half against the Rams. He uh believes the Bears will at least keep it close if not winning outright against the ramifications in the divisional round there. You kind of lean that way. Yeah, I don't I don't think I'm coming in double making that bet, but yeah, I want no part of that game. I'm leaning that way. It's the the one I'll tell you, I think the bet I would have made in that game is the over if I was more confident in Stafford's hand being fine. I think there's not trying to read into this,
but man, I think the way he looks very affected by that, you know, afterward in the game, I know the x-rays came back fine, but him and McVeigh are really downplaying this and I'm like, it almost feels like too much, right? It's almost feels like the playoff like nothing to see here. Nothing to see here. Is that game Saturday or Sunday, Bears Rams? That is Sunday. Okay. So right today, the high excuse me, tomorrow, the high in Chicago's 47 degrees. The the entire week then it falls. Saturday it drops into the teens Sunday, the high, and obviously we're still, you know, six days out. You know how that goes, but right now the high in Chicago expected to be 16 degrees on Sunday. So add that to your mix. Makes me like the makes me like the Bears even more. Those LA kids coming in there. Yeah. Yeah. So I mean, and then it's it's Stafford in the cold with at least a banged up hand, right? Like that, that's not going to feel good when you get when you hit that on another
helmet and 16 degree weather. Yep. Hey, I'll say it again. Enjoy every minute of this past or this as we continue wild car weekend tonight. Enjoy every minute of it. The anticipation, the game itself, and then enjoy everything to the divisional round and the natty next week because after that. That's all boy.
