A Conversation About Navigating Regulatory Uncertainty With a Former Wall Street Securities Lawyer - HHR039
About this episode
This week on High Hash Rate, Dan and Mike speak with Terrence Yang (@TYonClubhouse).
Terrence is a securities lawyer from Harvard and ex-Wall Street officer who built, structured, and launched financial products for Morgan Stanley and Merrill-Lynch, many of which are still widely used today. Terrence is also an angel investor with experience managing funds with over $1 billion AUM.
Now Terrence is the Managing Director of Global Wealth at Swan Bitcoin where he is helping Swan accomplish it's mission of onboarding 10 million Bitcoiners.
In this episode we discuss Terrence's experience working on Wall Street, Operation Chokepoint 2.0 and the potential implications it has for Bitcoiners, the SEC's crusade against crypto securities and why Bitcoin is legally different than crypto, how Bitcoiners can use existing tax laws to reduce their tax burden when the Bitcoin price dips, and how Bitcoin can protect your wealth and savings if you live in hostile jurisdictions with strict capital controls.
