What was your first job and did you like it? My first job, my first real job was working at a Sambo's, which was kind of like a Denny's as a dishwasher. I did not like it, but I liked the fact that I had a job and I had some spending money. When I wasn't washing dishes, I had to clean anything and everything. The bathrooms, the urinals, the toilets, remember my boss said, you're not going to get anything on your hands that won't wash off. And I always remembered that. Yeah. You go in and clean the ladies room and there's puke all over the back of the toilet.

4:06You're not going to get anything on your hands that won't wash off. I hated that job. I would come home smelling like pancake batter. Oh nice. Yeah. But that was my first job and I did not like it. Bailey, what was your first job and did you like it? I worked at my mom's company. So she worked for a company called Best Brands. And my first job was working in the credit department. And all I did was clerical work. So I spent literally eight hours a day just like filing things, putting stickers on things. And it was it was like tedious work. It wasn't exciting work, but I got to wake up early, drive to work with my mom. Anytime I was bored, I just wandered over to my mom's cube. And then she had this coworker named Bryce, who was maybe 26 at the time. And I had such a huge crush on Bryce. So I would just walk over to Bryce's cube and be like, Hi. Hi. So that's a great time. It was fun. On Talkback Tuesday, that is our question. You got 30 seconds. What was your first job and did you like it? Give us a little detail. You got 30 seconds.

Right above where it says Katie, would you be Jenny? Yeah, I was a bus girl at a place called Shriners. It was a restaurant and final act. My dad worked there for like 40 years. My mom was a waitress there for like 20. I hated it. I hated it with all my heart because I would work every single Saturday and Sunday morning. Very early and well, all my friends were out having fun. I was a 14 year old bus girl working to save money for college. So I had to wear an old school diner like dress with nylons. Nylons. It was a type of place where a lot of old people went. And so there was coffee constantly. I left their smell and so bad every day. So so bad. So for me, that was not my favorite job. But taught me some work. I think I guess you're and that's really important. I bought your first job and did you like it? I worked at Rita's, which is like an Italian ice spot. They have one in Egan and Apple Valley. I loved it. I was a I started as you call you a treat team member.

6:07And you don't wear a fancy uniform that you do. Yeah. But you do have to say have an ice day that I have a nice day. Are you serious? I didn't always say it. And sometimes like I wouldn't say when my boss was there, but when my boss would be there and if I didn't say it, he'd be like, Hey, just make sure you're saying the slogan. You know, it's important. You know, but I loved it because it was such a nice job. And I was fifth. I had just turned 15 years old. Have an ice day. Have an ice day. Okay. What about you? What was your first job? And did you like it? My first job was a small local restaurant. And I just remember on slow days, my manager would say, if you got time to lean, you got time to clean. You got time to lean. I heard that before. I heard that before. Really? Yeah. Yeah. I used to lean on the counter at a liquor store job that I had. And they would be like, no, you've got to stand up and start cleaning.

7:07Or go up to people and be like, can I help you? There was always something at Sambo's that needed to be cleaned as something that needed. Okay. Next one, what was your first job? And did you like it? My first job was at Shopco, which is no longer anything anymore. And the only reason I really enjoyed going to work after school each day was because my boyfriend worked there as well as my brother and his girlfriend. Aha. All right. What about you? My first job was at Kentucky Fried Chicken. And no, I didn't like it because I don't know if you know this or not. The biscuits are made from scratch. What? I had to make biscuits. I was 15 years old. I was not fast enough making biscuits. No, no. In fact, apparently I was so slow in making biscuits that they fired me. That kind of makes sense, though. They're probably a big bag of powder. And then you mix it with the milk, the milk or whatever. And then you put it in a little thing and you put it on. Yeah, of course they're homemade.

8:07That totally makes sense. I thought she was going to tell us something terrible, but she's like, the biscuits are homemade. Homemade. My dang homemade. That's delicious. You're going to get a KFC secret. Yeah. All right. My first job was in a produce department. And I cut and packaged fruit that we put on the shelf and I loved it. You should see how fast I can cut a watermelon pineapple, honeydew, canelope, you name it. Lifelong skills. And I'm still in my 30s. If anyone needs their fruit cut for any parties, graduations on your girl, I'll do it all for fun. Lifelong skill. I love that one. And then I was there. Was your first job? And did you like it? I worked at a boys club. And a girls club. When I was 14 years old. And I absolutely loved it. Good. Tenais. I worked at boys and girls club two was so fun. Hi. Good morning. And my first job was a subway. I liked it until I hated it. Because I used to go home smelling like pepperachini and vinegar and tuna.

9:10And all of the juices from the vegetables. And then I quit and with a Starbucks for the next eight years. So. Wow. I wonder if she gets to take a sub home with her every day. That would be so nice. I would think you would. Yeah. I would think you would. You would get away with it. Yeah. A couple of more. I worked at a place called Ramsey County Care Center and I was a meal prep girl, meal time assistant. I guess it was called. So it was a good job. I liked it. I was very young. It was about 13, just turning 14, but yeah, but they no longer have that nursing home available. Well, I was going to say don't they not let 13 and 14 year olds work anymore? I think 14 is like very, like the very, very lowest, though, or young, just the rest of the work. And then I have like six hours a week. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like, good luck getting a job too. I feel like when I was 14, I was trying to apply to places and no one would hire me. Yeah. Yeah. Right.

10:10Yeah. Okay. Last one. I was working at McDonald's and if my brother knew I was working the drive through, he would come through and sing Ding Fry's or done. He was working at the front counter. He would come in and ask me for a free smile. I hated the job, but I love those memories. Duh. Ding Fry's or done. Ding Fry's or done. I got to run. Okay. Well, Dave's turn to go coming up in a second on KWB. Stay here. We just might do Dave's dirt because there's some stuff that we got to cover. And I know it's a little bit out of order, but the greatest movie since F1 is Gaslit by my husband and it's on Netflix. I've stumbled across it last night. You ever get that phrase that phase in your life where it's like, I don't know what to watch next. I've watched everything. There's no new shows coming out. I've watched everything. I've completed Netflix. I've completed Apple TV. What's next? It's on one called Gaslit by my husband. It is about the quality of a lifetime movie, but it's about a woman who's married to this

11:14awful guy and it's based on a true story. The guy and the woman, they split up, but he wants to get back together. So he decides to be her hero. So he comes to her house in a mask, assaults her, ties her up, puts a pillowcase over her head, leaves her on the back porch and leaves. Here comes her husband to the rescue, rescuser, oh my God, are you okay? Turns out he was the one who assaulted her. Oh, what? They figured it out pretty quickly because he was a dough head and now he's been in prison for 45 years. It's a true story or he will be in prison for 45 years. Gaslit by my husband, two thumbs up. What does that on? What about Netflix, Hulu, ID, yeah, whatever. Maybe I saw this, it might be older or something because I feel like I saw this that you recommended it and this, it was forever ago, but it was more like a documentary. It's very likely that I watched it and forgot all about it. Yeah. Yeah.

12:14I'm Dave, who are you? Bailey. Bailey, good to meet you. You're kind of hot. I think. Yeah. I also watched a show called Vladimir that just came out. I'm actually ahead of the game from once I feel like as it just came out on March 5th, it's a pretty many series, the episodes are only 30 minutes long, but it's about a college professor who she's probably like 50s now and she gets real a big crush on this new hot young professor. And her and her husband have like an open marriage and her husband is dealing with some other stuff with like sleeping with students and stuff. It's a whole lot drama, but and it's honestly pretty bad acting, but I really liked it. And the guy who's like the young hot colleague, he's from White Lotus season two. So I was hyped to see him and that because I really liked him in White Lotus. So that one's a good one. Dave, I looked it up. It was called American Nightmare that came out two years ago. If after a home invasion and kidnapping in 2015, a couple is accused of staging short deals. That's a different one. Yeah, that's a different one. That's what I thought you were talking about. But apparently people out here, stage and crimes left and right.

13:16Well, what is interesting about that one, American Nightmare is that they, this couple said that somebody broke into their house and assaulted both of them. Yeah. But they staged the whole thing. Yeah. I remember I don't want to spoil it for you, but it was really good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So changing gears here into coincide with the release of the Michael Jackson biopic that comes out on April 24th. There's going to be a popcorn bucket shaped like the Fedora he wore at the 25th anniversary Motown special. Wow. Because now those like novelty popcorn buckets are all the rage, which I don't understand why. To start collecting those, those are just going to take up space. Why? And it is just a Fedora. It looks like a hat that popcorn comes out of and they've got multiple novelty popcorn buckets for the release of this movie, Michael. Do you guys take home your extra popcorn when you don't eat it all at the movie theater? My mom does. No, I don't. Not really. I do. Because you always think you need the bigger bag than probably the smallest one.

14:17You're like, I will eat more than this and then you eat like a fourth of it and you're like, just kidding. Yep. My mom takes it home all the time. She eats it for days. I do too. Yeah. Great. Well, I think it honestly tastes better the day after. BTS. No, that's pizza. Pizza is better the day after. Yeah, totally. Yeah. BTS is back after their mandatory military service. They have to do in South Korea. They got new music and the trailer for their new Netflix documentary just dropped. Another straight time just passed by. I'm here in LA. I really feel. It's on high all the time. And we're trying to find out what makes us mean to us. And I'm looking it up. Looking it up. March 27th. So next Friday is when that comes out on Netflix. Nice. Randomly, Demi Lovato says that the Goo Goo Dolls sang at her wedding. Okay. Here's Demi Lovato. But you actually had... I know Iris is your wedding song, right? Or one of the songs? Yes. It was our first dance. It's such a special song to us. We love it so long. Yeah. So long to sing. Yeah. Such a good song. One of the best songs ever. It really is.

15:18Johnny Resny from Goo Dolls to perform at your wedding. Yeah. That's awesome. I got a good deal of it. Come on. We were so grateful to have him perform. It was a no-brainer. We definitely wanted that song as our first dance. And he absolutely smashed it. The crowd was singing... Well, not the crowd. The audience was singing along. There was a single long moment. It was really, really cute and sweet. And it was just amazing. It was perfect. That'd be kind of cool to get Johnny Resny. We're going to write that down as a talk back Tuesday. What singer would you have sing what at your wedding? Oh, yes. Okay. I mean, Vaughn's getting married on February 3rd of next year. February 3rd. I totally made that. February 30th. February 30th. Who would you want to have sing what? And it can be their original song. Yeah. Like, you know, you can have Faith Hilsing this kiss, this kiss. That'd be great. Or boys to men, I'll make love to you. At my wedding or Cisco, the thong song.

16:20Oh, yes. Who would you want to have sing what at your wedding? Write that down, Johnny. I wrote it down. Does it have to be the artist's song? Because like, I feel like I'd rather have like a del sing a certain song for me. Do you do whatever you want? I don't want any of her songs. Her songs are mostly about heartbreak. Okay. Wow. Okay. There was a structure fire up in Lutz and Mountains reported yesterday. And it's always interesting because we all know the Lutz and Resort was caused by the actual owner. I think he was charged. I've heard rumors about that area is like the people can't afford it. And so then they just like start a fire so they can get that insurance money. But then they don't, they're not smart enough criminals. No. But luckily, this was part of the Caribou Highlands Resorts. And it was in the town homes. And it only hit like a few of them. So everyone was evacuated as of now. Nobody's been injured. But I know that they were struggling last night when they were trying to put it out because it was so windy up there. So the homes were going next door. But I think they got it under control. Is that right on the lake? No. It's up more closer to the mountain area. Okay.

17:20So you got to go up a little bit of a hill. A bit off of what is the main highway 61? Yeah. Yeah. Taylor Swift helped drive 2025 album sales to a record $11.5 billion. For the first time since 1983, sales of vinyl records surpassed $1 billion. Thank you. Is that amazing? Her. Yeah. And 83, as you, you know, you weren't around back then. But that was when the CD, the compact disc really came out. Oh, really? Yeah. The first, the first compact disc I ever saw was around 1982. And it's like, whoa. That's cool. How does that work? And you're looking at it, like trying to find the grooves on it. Oh, yeah. How do they do that? But then people immediately went out and got a compact disc player, a disc man, if you will. And then that's when they started out selling albums. So for the first time in 46 years. Right. The albums. No, 43 years, sorry. The 1.6 million vinyl copies of her album, Life of a Showgirl, that Taylor Swift helped sell last year.

18:24Wow. I don't know if people still care about Lizzo, but she's coming out with a new book. If the children's book hears her with more about it. I have a children's book coming out and it's called Lil Lizzo. Lizzo meets Sasha B. Flute. And everyone always asks me my origin story with the flute. This tells the real life story of how I started playing flute. Okay. Cool. It is a children's book. It is called Little Lizzo meets Sasha B. Flute. So we are both children's book authors. Mine is not called that. It's called Little Dave's Amazing Day. And it is a big hit among one, two, four year olds. And you can guide it on Amazon. Just look at Little Dave's Amazing Day.
