Fans of the 9-1-1 franchise got a fun crossover this week between the original series and 9-1-1 Nashville. The episode aired Thursday on ABC and featured firefighters Buck from Los Angeles and Eddie heading to Tennessee for the annual firefighter games at. The 1-13 firehouse, the network specifically asked for some shirtless moments to spice things up. To make that happen, showrunner Rashad Razzani added a hydration break right in the middle of the games. Buck, played by Oliver Stark and Eddie, played by Ryan Guzman, teamed up with Nashville's Blue, played by Hunter McVey. Razzani had to pitch the idea to the actors just after Thanksgiving, timing that got some laughs. The actors took it in stride despite the holiday timing. Stark said he would have panicked either way, while Guzman called the request devious but pushed through. They spent 25 minutes prepping before dropping their shirts, turning the set into what felt like summer camp vibes.

1:04Filming those intense competition scenes was no joke, squeezed into a tight schedule during a production break. The guys ran, climbed, and hammered away under blazing LED lights for up to 15 hours a day. Even off-camera hydration involved IVs to keep everyone in fighting shape.
