柳田 國男（やなぎた くにお、1875年（明治8年）7月31日 – 1962年（昭和37年）8月8日）は、日本の民俗学者・官僚。現在の兵庫県神崎郡福崎町生まれで、最晩年に名誉町民第1号となった。
日本民俗学の組織化と体系化を、独学を目指し独力で柳田学を確立した柳田は、立ち止まることを潔しよしとはしない。お祝い、褒賞などに惑わされずに、機会を捉えて自らのテーマに邁進する姿が冒頭の言葉から感じることができる。
