道元（どうげん、正治2年1月2日（1200年1月19日）- 建長5年8月28日（1253年9月22日））は、鎌倉時代初期の禅僧。日本における曹洞宗の開祖。
この春夏秋冬の日本の自然の素晴らしさを詠んだ道元の辞世の歌は、私たちに愛国心を呼びさまさせる。特に冬の雪の表現がいい。道元が建立した越前福井県の永平寺での厳しい修行の姿を垣間見ることができるようだ。
