新村 出（しんむら いずる、1876年（明治9年）10月4日 – 1967年（昭和42年）8月17日）は、日本の言語学者、文献学者。京都大学教授・名誉教授で、ソシュールの言語学の受容やキリシタン語の資料研究などを行った日本人の草分けである。
｢私は中ぐらいを愛するんです」と新村はいっっている。器の小さい自分は中ぐらいの仕事でいいという考えなのだ。気負いがなくて好感がもてるが、本人の謙遜とは裏腹に成した業績は偉大だ。
