#708 Ben Askren

Episode 708 - Ben Askren is a First Class Father, World Class Wrestler and former Professional MMA Fighter.  During high school, he became a two–time WIAA state champion out of Arrowhead High School in Wisconsin.  In college, Ben wrestled for the Missouri Tigers where he was a two–time NCAA Division I national champion (four–time finalist), and three–time Big 12 Conference champion.  Ben was a member of the United States Olympic wrestling team and competed in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.  In 2009 he made his professional MMA debut and won 19 fights before suffering his first loss.   In this Episode, Ben shares his Fatherhood journey which includes 3 children.  He discusses the tweet that went viral on Twitter in which he was honoring his wife for being a great mom but Twitter users took it the wrong way.  His wife Amy also jumps into the interview to weigh in on the controversy.  Ben describes his discipline style as a dad and the top values he hopes to instill in his children growing up.  He talks about the Israel Adesanya stunt in which Izzy mocked the son of Alex Pereira.  He offers some great advice for new or soon-to-be Dads and more!
