A judge issues a bench warrant for a Virginia woman accused of abandoning her dog at Harry Reid International Airport. The warrant was issued Tuesday after 26-year-old Jamir and Denay Nicole Bryson failed to appear for an arrangement in Las Vegas Justice Court. The judge said a family member reported Bryson was in a hospital in another state and would not be present for the hearing. Bryson faces three misdemeanor charges after police say she left her two-year-old golden doodle tied to a luggage scale at the airport. The dog was renamed JetBlue and adopted by a Metro police officer.

1:01A shooting in Northwest Las Vegas leaves a man dead and a woman injured. Officers responded around 9.45 pm Monday to an apartment complex on Sky Point Drive near Anne Road in I-11 according to Metro Lieutenant Robert Price. They found a husband and wife both in their 30s Suffering from gunshot wounds. The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Price said the couple had arranged a meeting for an undetermined type of transaction and when they arrived men in dark clothing fired into their vehicle. The mayor of North Las Vegas reflects on its past and celebrates its vision for the future in her final state of the city address. The speech at Allionte Casino in Hotel served as a ceremonial send-off for Pamela Goyne's Brown, the first black mayor in Nevada. Goyne's Brown said North Las Vegas has had more than a billion dollars in private investments each of the past eight years.

2:01She cited three of the city's biggest projects, Apex Industrial Park, Highlow Park and a new campus being built for Nevada State University. A boarded up casino in North Las Vegas is receiving complaints of unhoused people living quote all around the property. The silver nugget neighbors North Las Vegas City Hall and officials have received reports for several years about people living on the property. Probably the most startling report outlined in city records is according to homeless services coordinator for the city. Apparently sometime last year people were literally trying to dig their way into the casino. The main entrance has been boarded up since at least the fall of 2024 but in Nevada gaming control board spokesperson says the silver nugget remains operational since it periodically opens its casino floor and events center to the public.

3:06A spokesperson for the city said it has not received any notice that the silver nugget would reopen or any demolition permit applications for the property.
