ルイ・アームストロング（Louis Armstrong, 1901年8月4日 – 1971年7月6日）は、アフリカ系アメリカ人のジャズミュージシャン。サッチモ (Satchmo) という愛称でも知られ、20世紀を代表するジャズミュージシャンの一人である。
「自分の演奏について説明が要るようなら、演奏などするべきではない」というルイ・アームストロングは、差別や貧困という黒人の厳しい現実に立ち向かいながら演奏を続けた。彼は人生を奏でていたのだ。
