円谷 英二（つぶらや えいじ、本名：円谷 英一（つむらや えいいち）、1901年7月5日 – 1970年1月25日）は、福島県須賀川市生まれの特撮監督、映画監督、撮影技師、発明家、株式会社円谷特技プロダクション（現：円谷プロダクション）の初代社長。
円谷英二の特撮人生を眺めると、その執念に驚く。特撮という言葉は円谷本人の発明でもある。この人は独立独歩の発明家的資質を備えた仕事師であった。予算がなければ自分で工夫し発明し、目的に向かって直線的に猛然と進んで行くしかない。金がないことも創造の秘密である。
