#689 Larry Csonka

Episode 689 - Larry Csonka is a First Class Father and NFL Hall of Fame Running Back.  He is a two-time Super Bowl Champion and was the MVP of Super Bowl VIII.  He played his college football at Syracuse where his number 39 has been retired.  Larry was drafted in the first round of the 1968 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins who have also retired his number 39.  He was a vital part of the Miami Dolphins historic undefeated 1972 season which remains the only undefeated team in NFL history. Larry Csonka, a gifted storyteller, shared his amazing life story in his memoir, HEAD ON. In this Episode, Larry shares his Fatherhood journey which includes three children, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He discusses how he became introduced to the game of football by an unlikely father figure in his youth.  He describes some of the challenges of being an elite NFL athlete while also being a dad.  He talks about the process of writing his memoir HEAD ON.
