In our Warhammer Old World Lore deep dive episode 64, our final Bretonnian episode, we take a look at the tabletop forces of the land of the Lady. We start with the 3rd edition army list which focused on replicating the real-world forces of medieval France. With the advent of 5th edition we start to see the “refined” list of Bretonnian troops and we launch into the ignoble and not so ignoble infantry the faction can field from Grail pilgrims to men-at-arms together with the newly-minted foot knights. We then turn our gaze to the mighty cavalry units and their unique land formation. Pausing briefly to once again mock the lance as a reliable weapon we then turn our faces to the skies to see the Pegasus Knights. Stepping around the field trebuchets we then run down the characters and named characters available to lead the army. We close out the episode with the gift of bretonnian titles from ol’ Louie Lionheart himself.
