マキャベリ（1469年5月3日 – 1527年6月21日）は、イタリア、ルネサンス期の政治思想家、フィレンツェ共和国の外交官。著書に「君主論」がある。
頼朝は「このたびのことは天下の草創なり」と幕府開設の意義を語った。家康の幕府開府も同じであり、明治維新も同様に、新しい秩序の創造は難事業であることは間違いない。政権は崩壊させられる。しかし、新しい建設こそは最大の難題である。
