Yeah, I mean, it is one of those same Patrick's days where hopefully you are bundled up. You might not be able to show your green as much as you wanted to, but this is where we're at. You may get pinched, which, you know, let's stop that. That's maybe that's an unpopular opinion. Don't pinch anybody if they don't have green on, let everybody just enjoy the day. 1:01the day. My positive outlook on this was that we're in it now. So we're in the cold. The day has started by tomorrow. We will start to climb out of the hole and the weekend looks incredible. So this afternoon, probably not even making it to 30. So hope again that you have bundled up. Wind chills will be in the teens throughout the afternoon temperatures, though start to head in the right direction. It's not going to be a drastic change quickly, but again, by the weekend, you're going to love it. And we will actually officially turn over to spring this weekend, a passing shower coming through some point Thursday is that warmer air moves in. So that's a rain shower we can appreciate. And then again, the weekend warm up. I'm going to focus on it a lot because it's what's keeping me sane right now. Let's get into our headlines five on five and five going to our international breaking news, fighting intensifying between Israel and Iranian back groups. Lebanon hit by new strikes overnight. This morning, Israel said it has killed a top Iranian security official and the head of a key member of the revolutionary guard. This is more than one million people have been displaced since the war began and more than 2,000 across the Middle East have died. Now this morning, the Pentagon is sharing an update on American casualties.

2:02200 service members have been hurt. Many of them has since returned to duty. 13 service members have died, including a native from Wilmington, Ohio. Meanwhile, President Trump is pushing for allies to deploy worse warships to the straight of Hormuz in order to protect oil shipments there. The European Union declined his request. And the White House for its part is reportedly turning down a new offer from Iran to reopen diplomatic talks. That according to a senior White House official overnight Asian markets were mixed after a brief drop in oil prices helped lift US stocks to their best day in weeks. But the relief it didn't last Brent crude is a key oil benchmark that went up again to more than $100 and that sent gas prices skyrocketing here in Cincinnati. Triple A says the average cost for a gallon went up 20 cents overnight to $3.52 cents per gallon, coming to him at 346 Diorborn County, Indiana. They're up 10 cents to 359 a gallon. And we've seen as much as 379 per gallon in parts of Cincinnati.

3:03In the meantime, President Trump is now setting his sights on Cuba, saying he could quote, take over the weekend country. All of this as the islands power grid collapsed yesterday after weeks of a US oil blockade. Our next story, let's go to Sharonville. Right. So this morning several agencies are investigating what went wrong after a deadly workplace accident at the Ford plant in Sharonville. It happened yesterday morning during routine maintenance on a press machine. Investigators say the machine unexpectedly activated pinning the employee. Co-workers were able to free him, but he did later die at the hospital. The employee's name has not been released to the Hamilton County corners office. OSHA and Ford are all looking into what happened. Our third story since the 90 police chief Terry the G continues to fight. Yeah, this drags on. I know it hasn't been in the headlines as much, but it has gone on now for about five months. And there are new demands for answers about the change in command at Cincinnati police department. The attorney for chief Terry the G is calling on the city to end the investigation into her leadership.

4:05She was placed on leave. Again, nearly five months ago following a rise in violent crime. And her attorney, Steven M is arguing that she was used as a political scapegoat just weeks before the November election. He says her 35 year career is unblemished. This investigation lacks merit. The city has spent nearly $50,000 for an outside firm to investigate chief the G's leadership. The G's attorney says if she does not get her job back, they plan to file a lawsuit. We did reach out to the city manager's office. We were told they do not have anything to share beyond past comments. Our fourth story rapper Afro man in court. Right. So a trial over a music video made by the rapper Afro man is now underway. It is the result of a lawsuit from Adams County deputies and the music video uses footage from a raid on Afro man's home back in 2022. Authorities did not find anything illegal during that raid. And Afro man was never charged. But the music video went viral. And the deputies seen in it sued. They claimed it exposed them to ridicule caused emotional distress and put their

5:07safety at risk. They also accused Afro man of making false statements. The trial will resume at 9 a.m. And our final story. Let's talk college basketball. The Reds up Red Hawks are waking up in Dayton as they get set for their first for a match up that will happen on Wednesday night. They'll be playing against SMU with both teams fighting for a spot at six seeded Tennessee. My amulet was dominant in the regular season 31 and one. But this will be a real test of who they are. This will be the first quad one game of the year. Mac player of the year Peter Suter leads a balance scoring attack with multiple Red Hawks averaging double figures SMU. They're in the favorite in this game. Last check they were six and a half point favorites. They're led by veteran head coach Andy Nfield and point guard. One of the best in the country.
