We've been all Britain and Kelly Ripon here on the podcast with you after we were celebrating a very joyous week of warm temperatures all of that came to Annabrupp stop. Respectfully this is rude. This whole thing is rude. Don't like it. One bit. Yeah. And there's two rounds of it. Both are rude. One disrupted sleep with thunder and lightning and heavy downpours. The other is bringing snow and ridiculously cold weather. So let's talk a little bit about that for anyone who's panicking. It's going to be very cold, but it also isn't going to hang around because yes, it was

1:00indeed 70 degrees yesterday. So we've got some gusty winds. We get a little bit of a break, drier hours, the temperatures fall off to the 30s. I did take a picture of my car this morning when I got in at three, whatever. It was 60 degrees. And now we are already in the 30s, flurries and snow showers. Today, again, not expecting impact as far as accumulation is concerned other than just you groaning as you watch it fly about. Windshield today is going to feel like the 20s. So yeah, that's cold. St. Patrick's Day is going to be a cold one as well. If you're out early, it's going to start in like feeling like the single digits. So wind chills all day. It's going to be a pretty blustery St. Patrick's Day. And then we warm up quickly, which is great. So maybe not great for the St. Patrick celebrations, but great for the weekend. 60s by Thursday, 70s for the weekend. Let's get into our headlines five on five and five. It was a very, very busy weekend. So let's talk more about 471. Yes, it was on fire. Yes, if you feel like, didn't that happen before? It was a little over a year ago when the Big Mac bridge went up in flames. This was a little bit further south than that after a crash between the vehicle and a

2:02gas tanker truck sometime that evening, the truck tip, then next thing, you know, there's a big fireball. Thankfully, everybody was able to get out and get away from that. Okay. But it did shut down quite a bit of traffic for a long time right there near Memorial Parkway in the Kentucky Transpiration cabinet says they still need to do a little bit more resurfacing in the spring and repairs on the barrier wall separating the North and South bound lanes. Now, the fix in place, of course, is temporary. And if you go to the video and you see the damage, you can see why that crash was something to see. And if you heard about a bunch of people who were nearby saw it, heard it. No, glad they were okay, too. The road is safe, but officials like the flames did enough to warrant that extra resurfacing work. They managed to open the highway just a day later, less than 24 hours after the incident. The fuel igniting it. But again, nobody seriously hurt two children and a woman were inside the car involved, but they only had minor injuries. No exact date set for the extra repairs to 471, but you'll notice the temporary resurfacing work done.

3:02It's going to be a little bumpy. So do take your time if you're heading through that area if it is part of your commute. Next up, more news from over the weekend searching for that missing child in Florence. Man. It was a tough weekend. So a lot of people got the e in alert. If you lived in Kentucky on your phone late Friday night, and we do know that her body was found on Saturday, memorials are planned this week to honor the nine-year-old who was found in a pond in Florence. So Jenny Dim was reported missing Friday night on McIntosh Lane in Florence. That triggered that e in alert, which is for children. This is specifically in the state of Kentucky for children with autism who wander off. I know they're working on a Joshua alert for the state of Ohio right now, but it was effective in that it alerted everybody and hundreds of volunteers and first responders joined that search effort Friday night all day Saturday before deputies did find her body in the pond on Saturday evening. And now investigators are still working to determine what happened here and memorial service is planned for this coming Saturday. Details are still being finalized.

Let's go to the streets of Cincinnati, where a few of the dozens of people arrested after attempted street takeover will make their first court appearance. Cincinnati police say the group gathered outside Woodward High, then tried to repeatedly evade officers. There are a lot of people involved. Cincinnati police said they made how about this nearly 40 arrests and 65 cars were towed as part of this street takeover. Now some will appear for arrangements this morning. Most suspects are just facing misdemeanor street race, gene charges and aren't being held. Police say it's happened early Sunday morning when they got a tip about a large group of drivers heading towards Woodward. Police radio traffic indicates officers tried a number of methods to stop them, including stop sticks. In a statement, police praised the officers involved saying their coordinated efforts helped end this situation safely. We'll track this investigation as it moves through the courts. Story number four. News about an Ohio airman. We are now hearing from the family of Captain Curtis angst. He is from Wilmington and he is one of the six U.S. service members who were killed in

5:05a refueling jet crash in Iraq last week. In a statement, his family wrote Curtis lived a life of defined by service generosity and a genuine love for people. He was dedicated to serving his country. His family also saying that their hearts go with the family and the friends of his fellow crew members, angst a graduate of Wilmington High School. He got his bachelors at UC Aerospace Engineering. His family statement went on to say that he left behind a wife and many family and friends. Three of the other five airmen who died in that crash also have ties to our local states. Since Captain Seth Kovals from Moore'sville, Indiana, tech sergeant Ashley Pruitt from Bardstown, Kentucky, and tech sergeant Tyler Simmons from Columbus, Ohio. In our final story of the day, let's talk about March madness, the brackets in both the men's and women's side. They are ready to go. And for the Miami Red Hawks, they have both teams in their NCAA tournaments. Let's start with the women. They're a 13 seed. They're going to play fourth seed West Virginia. This game in Morgantown on Saturday in round one. It's their first time in the tournament since 2008.

6:06Good luck to the ladies there. The men, meanwhile, they got an at large bid and they will face SMU in the first four on Wednesday in Dayton. So an easy jaunt up the road to watch them play the winner of that matchup will face the six seed Tennessee volunteers in the first round. This is the first time since 1999 that the men's team has earned an at large bib. Initially, we thought, according to the broadcast, when they were announcing the brackets that they were the last team in, but the selection commissioner clarified that they were not. They were actually three teams picked behind Miami to get into the tournament. So good luck to them as they go on their adventure to try to advance. As for the first four, that'll start Tuesday night with UMBC in Howard. Round one will kick off Thursday as tradition. And again, the Red Hawks will tip off against SMU Wednesday evening at 915. As far as our other local teams, Ohio State back in the field, there you are in 8 seed. They're going against TCU and 9 seed. Six seeded Louisville will take on USF, USF, a very good team, a dangerous team right

7:07now. They're in 11 seed. Kentucky, the Wildcats. They are a seven seed meeting the ninth seed. Wait, no, 10 seed. Wait, what does that say? Kentucky to 17? Yes, Santa Clara will be a 10 seed then. I always try to do the math up to 17 to, you know, throw the seeds off the top of my head. And horizon league champ Wright State, they are a 14 seed. They play against the third seed, Virginia. Good luck bracketing out there. Good luck. I haven't thought anything about it at all. I get so overwhelmed. It's a lot. Lots of pick. Lots of go through. It's like, well, if it's the same thing. And I start to like stall out about halfway through and then I'm like, I just don't care anymore. I mean, outside of Shire has only made couple of coaching a couple of years. I mean, between Self, Ezo and Patino, that's probably close to almost 3,000 wins. That's crazy. Pretty cool though.
