Of course, we have a lot of news headlines to get to here shortly, we have to start with the fantastic weather we are going to get today, just things change, but we're going to talk about today. I liked your sentiment of appreciate it while we can live in the present moment because today it is going to be warm, highs and mid to upper 70s today and then tomorrow we get two rounds of storm. So the nice starting point this morning will kind of get you ready for what's to come. We're starting out in the low 60s, we should head to the upper to mid 70s by this afternoon could, could be near the record, that's 77 degrees, that was from 2009, so we have a shot

We're monitoring a conditional threat though for severe weather Wednesday, so rain is likely to come in two waves, one, this will arrive overnight, it continues almost up until lunch time and then the second one is mid afternoon into the early evening with both of those rounds, there is this potential for it to turn strong, possibly severe, damaging winds really would be the main concern with these, but there's also the potential for some of that localized flooding, especially after we got all that water from last week. So obviously be weather aware, there is a very small chance that there could be hail, the low end threat of a tornado, we'll keep you updated here on WLWT and also stay tuned tomorrow on WLWT because the way the first round will pan out will kind of give us some better idea of what that second round will do. 2:03Let's go to our headlines, five on five in five, first up, we're talking about the situation in cold rain township, but the courtroom is will be the focus today downtown Cincinnati. The man facing charges as the search continues for a 16 year old from cold rain township is doing federal court. It comes more than three weeks after Madison Field was last seen, a federal judge will decide whether Kyle Lawrence will be allowed out on bond while the 43 year old awake trial. He's been at the Butler County Jail since his arrest at his New York home. He faces a long list of charges related to child porn and sexual activity with a minor. Now it is important to note, he is not charged with Madison Field's disappearance. She was last seen 25 days ago, Lawrence told the FBI he had been communicating with Madison on Snapchat, traveling to Cincinnati twice in January to pick her up and take her to local hotels. The search for the 16 year old continues, we did speak to her father yesterday, obviously a very emotional time for him and his family as they tried to bring his daughter home. He says he's committed to finding her.

3:03Lawrence is due in court today at 130. All updates will be on wwt.com. So we number two, let's go out to Riverfront Live, but today will happen in front of City Council. Right. So we'll learn more today about that mass shooting at Riverfront Live and Cincinnati's East End. These are expected to give a presentation on the case to City Council at 9.30 this morning. Nine people were heard in this shooting earlier in the month. The Hamilton County prosecutor says this started when for Nick Cobb saw Derek Long at the music venue and opened fire. She says Long was hit, then pulled out his gun and fired back. The prosecutor says Cobb is facing more charges because he instigated the shooting. Both men have previous convictions, so neither was legally allowed to have a gun. Faces up to 98 years in prison, while Long faces up to 13 and a half. Long is still not listed in the Hamilton County jail. Both men could be in court as soon as tomorrow. Our third story. Let's go back to the Middle East in the war in Iran.

4:05The White House offering a variety of timelines on the conflict overnight. President Donald Trump said the war is ahead of schedule shortly after the defense secretary offered a different message. The president said yesterday he wants to make sure Iran does not have the capability to develop a nuclear weapon, but it's unclear if the war will continue for days, weeks or even months. Well, because the Trump administration is giving us different timelines Monday, the president told reporters he thinks the war will end soon. But then last week, Secretary Hegsett said this is only the beginning and questions continue to circulate about why the U.S. launched attacks against Iran in the first place. The most recent explanation came from President Trump last night. He said if the U.S. didn't hit Iran first, they were going to attack U.S. attack us and our allies. He also added Iran was working on a new site to develop material for nuclear weapons to replace the facilities the U.S. bomb last year. As for those gas prices, they are rising and the president threatened to intensify action on Iran if the country made any attempt to halt the flow of oil through the strait of Hormuz. He said, quote, they will be hit by the United States of America 20 times harder.

5:09End quote. Talking more about oil prices, they are shifting. They're back below $100 a barrel. They're tracking the impact of gas at home. A one-set increase on average for a gallon and Cincinnati. It's now $344. Covington up $0.7 to $338. Dearborn County, it's up a bit as well to $3.43. So keep an eye on where those go. They could fall. Now that the price of a barrel of oil is falling, but again, as long as this conflict continues, as long as the strait of Hormuz is being impacted, we're going to see shifting oil prices. Story number four. Let's talk about the president again, but visit here to greater Cincinnati. I remind her he is coming to town tomorrow to greater Cincinnati. He's first going to stop at a packaging facility in Hebern, Kentucky to discuss affordability. That event is open to the public if you do pre-register. We have information on how to do that on www.wc.com. Then the president will visit Redding, Ohio to discuss efforts to lower prescription drug prices.

And if you've seen the president travel, it's a group of like 30 cars. You know, you get the motorcades, you get the press core, you have ambulances, you have police officers from multiple jurisdictions, you have motorcycles, you have the ahead team that blocks exits and on ramps and off ramps. So yeah, it's just going to be very messy tomorrow along with the weather. So yeah, just if you can stay put when the president's in town might be the best option depending on where you're coming from or where you're going. And our final story of the day, got to talk about your since and addy bangles jumping into the free agency pool. How about this former UC bearcat Brian Cook, he's coming home. The former chief safety decided to play for the bangles now. He spent four seasons in Kansas City, three as a starter. It's a three year deal worth about 40 million bucks. So boy, a mafia from the Seattle Seahawks coming to town on a three year deal, about 60 million

7:10bucks. Mafia was not a starter on Seattle Super Bowl run, but he didn't have an impact. He had two sacks in 2025, putting up nine two years ago. Of course, the bangles hope for even more production as he comes in to play a linebacker for the bangles, a couple of plus ones, March madness, basketball tournaments kicking off or continuing on UC playing Utah in Kansas City today. That's three o'clock tip off out there in the big 12 tournament Xavier. They're in New York City. They play Marquette this evening at 6.30 p.m. Right state. They are in the title game of the horizon lake. They played Detroit Mercy at 7 p.m. That game being played in Indianapolis, so that could be the first local ish ticket punched if right state wins tonight. We'll see what happens for UC and Xavier, both of them likely not in the tournament at the moment. Xavier would have to win their tournament to get in. You see at least two wins, maybe three to get them into the tournament. I'm excited. I do like March madness. Yeah. It's electrically follow college sports like football, I don't really follow, but one March

8:14madness season rolls around. I do get into it. It's easy for everybody to get behind whether you're rooting for a traditional power or an underdog, whether you're filling out a bracket by color or a mascot or you actually know the teams and players. I mean, it's one of those things. Entire offices can really get behind easily and have, you know, a little bit of community for a couple of weeks. I agree. Yeah.
